I have a cream (yellow) version of these, really nice bass, better than any of the MiM ones I tried, both in tone and playability.

Picked up on this very forum a couple of years back, it had only done a handful of gigs then, and it's only done a handful more since. In excellent condition, as is the cover. These are fabulous cabs, as I'm sure everyone here knows. Only selling as I've just picked up a cloth front model to shave a couple of pounds. I frequently rely on public transport - every little helps! Happy to ship this if it's of any interest to anyone.

Despite EBMM having a whole slew of signature guitars, they’ve never been as quick/as generous with signature basses. Other than the OLP Tony Levin, there’s not an EBMM Levin ‘Ray, despite him playing them for decades, without a break.

@bassist_lewis enough about the pedals, who's the guy in the tuner?

What's the next collectable on the second hand marketthen?
Twigman replied to la bam's topic in General Discussion
I paid £1675 for my new EBMM Sterling 4HH with matching headstock in late 2016 delivered April 2017. I recently asked EBMM to quote me for an identical bass - they quoted me $2,899 ex works + shipping + VAT and duty with a 4 month lead time. That's too rich for me but might hold up the secondhand market. -
Thanks for cutting me off! Ha! Added myself back in now. 1. Rich - Trace Elliot TE-1200 amp, Barefaced Super 12T cab, earplugs , Shuker custom 5, Tanglewood TRB-CE acoustic bass gtr. 2. Woody - Rickenbacker 4004-L5, maybe Sei Flamboyant, Same old basschat 12" with some amp, other stuff TBC 3. Pinball (tbc) - some interesting basses 4. Stubsy - Joyo BadASS, GRBASS AT212 slim - only 50W but that should give 120dB at one metre 😇. (or I bring my TE 1110 combo). Some fun pedals. Perhaps the AVII 1960 precision, the Sire P10 and maybe the Fender Performer and something unexpected... 5. Sean - Mesa 400+, Laney Nexus Tube 400 [oh jeez], MJW Taranis 200 (Filthbox Matamp clone with extra channel and EQ), GK MBF500, GK Fusion 550, 2 x LFSys Monaco, 2 x Japanese Market Spector Euros with LHZ-03 preamps, Valenti #005 Super P, Yamaha BB1300, my small but well-appointed pedal-board (Origin Cali 76, Origin DCX, Aguilar Chorusaurus, etc) plus a mini walk-in bass surgery if interested. Plus whatever I might be selling at the time. 6. Rosie - likely I'll bring my upright, set up for bluegrass/folk/jazz if anyone's not played upright before and fancies a go 7. Phil - BassChat cabs, maybe some sort of shootout? 8. MikeD - Laney Digbeth, Zilla 212, Dingwall Combusion, Revelation PJ, pedals, try to finish home made bass🤞🤞🤞🤞 9. neepheid - G&L CLF L-1000, Yamaha BB1200, Sire D5, Sire Z7, Greco LGB-700, Reverend Triad, Epiphone Les Paul (not so) Standard, Epiphone Thunderbird '64, Squier Jaguar H (with Ibanez CAP double humbucker from ATK200/800 etc), Gear4Music rat bass (with Lace Aluma-P), £150 giggable bass challenge, 1 or 2 amps depending upon space... Japanaxe Precision(s) & Dingwall(s) DIY 100W Bassman head if finished by then(!) as people seemed to like my B15 clone At least 1 other amp (see sig)
-
Connversely @eude and I have changed everything 3 or 4 times each 🤣
-
Try and do as much on the HX as possible, I know it’ll do something like the Ricochet. And what I mean when I recommend something like the Ricochet is you want a momentary octave up ramp/jump. Should be easy to recreate in the stomp

This is the bass that pushed me to finally pull the trigger on my first build!

Methinks another meet up is long overdue! EDIT - although I think I have exactly the same gear as last time lol!

It 100% wouldn't look anything like that, and the fretboard would be Pau Ferro, which is what Musicman have been using for fretless for a LONG time. You can also choose a nice figured neck if you wanted. I have a few Musicman sunburst/tobacco burst basses, and they are exceptionally good bursts. 2014 spec: https://www.chicagomusicexchange.com/en-gb/products/music-man-stingray-4-h-fretless-wpiezo-sunburst-2014-1407409

Nice fix to being a bandmate down! Almost the equivalent of having an 8 string bass to hand without having to master 8 string bass technique - which is defo trickier than a guitarist switching to a 12 string!

...on the contrary, I was saying the cost to import a PP Sig model is roughly the same for an individual as it would be buying from a store like yours in the UK. Which is a good thing as it causes less issues. If however you don't want the Pino version, you can custom order a different one/spec. Via UK store or from USA - no idea what the prices are. I think the issue with shops ceasing to exist is not the fault of the customer, it's the fault of changes in world economy and the general landscape of buying products, in a vast amount of industries. A customer should have one price, wherever, but if it is vastly cheaper elsewhere, they can then spend more on further gear/life/food/holidays. The problem is, almost all major guitar stores are a fair drive for most people (might take a full day!) so the fun of test driving gear isn't really what it used to be, so they buy online, save time, and yep, they'll vote with their wallet. If you ask me, no need for dealers in 2025. Adding costs for no reason.

No shame in that! If it ain't broke... I've read pretty much every ACG related forum post out there, and I'm hoping this thread can help out other people that are thinking about an ACG build in the future. Even saying that they're not for you is helpful!

The point stands that it ain't 'free'. ...
