  2. Did the exact same thing with a fuzz pedal!
  3. Janglin’ Jack. nick Cave atbs
  4. I have two examples. My very first gig. I set everything up and go to tune my bass, only to realise I had left it at home. Touring in Germany. Nice big stage and superb foh sound man. Soundcheck goes well, but the bass is non existent as we start playing. I can hear the bass from the foh but nothing on stage. Finally, after 3 songs, I found I hadn't thrown the standby switch. Did that and all was well!!
  5. Price drop now £115! Inspired by both new and old, the AfterLife has FOUR different internal analog circuits that provide 2 distortions and 2 fuzzes. Providing plenty of headroom and a ton of gain, these four selections will cover all the distorted ground you’ve got. While the outside boasts a lone Mode selection knob and a Volume control, there’s more under the hood to this one. Internal adjustable trimpots are available for all four modes, with parameters like overall Volume, Bias, Gain and Filter. The enclosure is 100% Solid Aircraft Aluminum Machined. The artwork on the front and back is laser-engraved, and each AfterLife pedal is 100% hand-wired and hand-built. Collect from Chesterfield or add £5 for UK postage. Cheers! Sam
  6. PRICE DROP NOW £220!!! Here’s my TC Electronic RH450 in used condition. Everything works perfectly - this is a proper workhorse of an amplifier, and small/light enough to use as a backup when gigging. Collect from Chesterfield (5 mins from M1 J29) or I can post for an additional £15. Cheers! Sam

  8. Mister Bojangles - Sammy Davis Jr.
  9. My other irrational hatred is when people call every single song a track. It's not, unless you're playing it off an album! Otherwise it's just a humble song, or in my case, a duff little ditty.
  10. Indeed quite tempting… thanks for sharing!
  11. I’ve genuinely got no idea what’s going on, but I love it…
  12. I like the supplied gig bag, but, for me, the big oversight is that it doesn't have a shoulder strap, just a handle. For the good ol' one-trip load-in, I want the bass on my back, pedals/FX/head hanging off my shoulders, and I need one hand to drag the cab and the other to open doors! All smaller Class D heads should have a gig bag.
  13. Miss you nights - Riff Pilchard
  14. Up for sale is this classic comp. In great working order with a few obligatory chips.

  15. I’m easily replaced! 😂
  16. The Gator bag is very slightly too tight from memory (I tried @eude’s one which holds his GK) but it does have the advantage of extra depth for cables. Will see if we can try it again asap.
  17. The new neck looks the business, @ped . Ref the old neck, personally, I would take the tension off the trussrod to avoid the possibility of a permanent back bow setting in over storage time...

  20. When people get their first Stingray, they always do the same thing, especially if it's a 2EQ - dial the bass and treble all the way up. Then they wonder why all they can hear in a band context is woof and click, with no midrange. So they sell it. Eventually, they discover that the EQ controls are kinda interactive, as you dial up the bass and treble, it actually sucks the mids out. So you end up only adding a tiny bit of boost to each, and, all of a sudden, you can actually hear yourself in the mix!
  21. I'll Be Missing You - Diddy/Faith Evans
  22. What? A spare you?
  23. ***PRICE DROP NOW £1300*** 2010 US Stingray, 2EQ, CAR with rosewood board. One of the limited edition 133 basses, full fat ‘ray but with a soft gig bag case instead of a hard shell job. This is in excellent condition with one very minor ding on the top edge, and the pickguard is quite marked but obviously easily replaceable. Comes with a Hipshot D-tuner (long key though instead of short… doh), if you want the original tuner key I’ll chuck it in. I’ve also replaced the pickup with a Nordstrand MM4.2, which sounds flippin’ great. She’s quite heavy (10lb) but with a decent wide strap it feels ok. Loathe to post this but can at buyer’s (insured) expense, or can meet in person at either Portsmouth, Southsea, Southampton or Lymington (I’m on the I.O.W.)
