actually that's a really good point do the venues you play at, charge for using the kit
-
Personally I wouldn't consider using projection of any sort at venues that didn't already have the required kit installed as part of the house system.

I like both, the poptastic remix really “eighties” the song.
-
It's as HeadlessBassist says a top twenty short scale. Kay never made a version like this, and it's not teisco, like people say it is because it bumps the value. Teisco closed in 1968, this was made after that time.

What's Unique About Your Primary Band?
Franticsmurf replied to Bluewine's topic in General Discussion
I was in a band like this once, for about 5 years. It was one of the best band experiences for me because we were good, the venues booked us (we had several residencies) and it made playing so much fun. 100% agree. -
I guessed it would have. For most of the venues we play, there still wouldn't be enough room on stage but that's more to do with us being a big band with a full drumkit. A robust stand to lift the projector up might work, but any vibration would be magnified by the stand and projection distance. When we were looking into it, I started playing about with what to project. Obviously it depends on the band/genre/taste but a couple of things I tried were a powerpoint presentation of random coloured shapes on each slide with a slow fade transition applied and the video feedback from a webcam pointing at the computer screen while recording. None of these would have been synchronised, though.

Ibanez Ergodyne EDC705 PRICE DROP
Cosmo Valdemar replied to Cosmo Valdemar's topic in Basses For Sale

For sale, this delightfully tiny MXR compressor. It's been my main "always on" compressor for years but I've started going without compression lately so it's not really needed any more. The pedal is in excellent condition, velcro on the bottom, and comes with the original box and power supply. Price includes UK postage.

There is/could be an argument that the sound you are creating is 'your' sound and it is what you want the audience to hear, they have no say in how it should be... good or bad. I suppose it's a bit like your Helix generated tone that is sculpted by you, to your exacting spec. The audience don't get to choose how that sounds, indeed you are reliant on the FOH for the final tone and I've seen many PA set ups that are a dog's dinner (hired in pub/club); we've all read that subs need to be placed 'x' distance apart or located next/on top of each other... yet I see more 15" mid/tops mounted on poles above 15" subs 20 feet apart. However, we digress back to another BC favourite! LOL

I had a few Pete Skjold basses including a Whaleback like the model shown above and these are excellent basses, not AI generated. The anchoring system was something he tried years ago, but did continue... He is inspired by JP Basses like our own @skelf and even bought the rights to Jean-Philippe Ferreira (the guy behind JP Basses) to continue his work under the Denoncourt series, when JP decided to stop making basses. You can write Pete an email: he always answers.

I think we should have a rule/guideline where we don’t post people’s names in the subject of the thread without some context. Yet again, I looked at this and thought, "oh jeez, bless her but at least she had a good innins." I used to exchange emails with her years ago, I even got a reply on Christmas Day once. Bruce Foxton was the last one to not be dead when I opened that thread..
