  1. Past hour
  2. Further price deduction - now £799
  3. Price reduced to £499
  4. Lightly used rubber knobs fitted briefly to my JT bass. These are standard fit for Canadian-made basses and very nice! You can only see four sleeves in the picture but trust me there are five! These are £100 new for the set, so £75 posted seems fair.
  5. I've had this on my board for a few months and it works flawlessly. It's in excellent condition. Only selling as I am moving away from a pedalboard setup. Stock image below, plus a picture of the actual unit on my pedalboard (all of which will be up for sale shortly). £150 posted in mainland UK.

  6. After much experimentation over the last few months, I have now settled on my preferred strings for each of my basses, so these unused sets are all up for sale. All prices are posted per set, but happy to combine and discount for multiple purchases. GHS Pressurewound (39.25" winding and custom made to fit Dingwall basses and imported from the US) - £40 3 x Newtone Platinum nickel roundwounds on round cores - (2 x 37" and 1 x 38" ball end to taper) - £35 2 x GHS Brite Flat groundwounds (38" ball end to taper) - £38 1 x Elites Groundwounds (38" apart from the B, which is 37.25" I think) - £30 Thanks for looking.
  7. Think this looks fab, unfortunately out of my range right now so have a bump on me
  8. I pulled this as the new price has dropped below £500 now. However, on reflection I think £600 for the amp in mint condition, plus the bluetooth adapter, footswitch and carry bag is still a good deal, so it's back up again.
  9. This is Bev. She's a really good drummer and allows me to jam with her and wreck her timing.
  10. Has anyone watched Geddy Lee’s TV show “Are Bass Players Human Too?”? I’ve only seen two episodes so far - the ones with Melissa Auf der Maur and Krist Novoselic - and was wondering what the community thought.
  11. Hi, No but I can record some when I get home.
  12. I’m no expert on the 5 string but to me the headstock is the wrong shape for a fender , truss rod adjustment is not at the heel, pretty sure the American pro ll has 2 string trees, wrong neckplate, wrong bridge, I think it’s as described as not a fender
  13. Not sure if the principle is the same for bass as it is guitars, but where goes. I had the same issue with active guitars and distortion pedals. In the end I found the solution to be using a valve based distortion pedal or the dirty channel of my valve guitar amp. I ended up buying a Radial trimode which works great.
  14. I saw what you did there 😎
  15. I bought a Mooer Power Supply for a pedalboard from Richard. Excellent price and was delivered really quickly. Updates were really good from Richard's end as well. Richard was the guy who sold me the fabled Valenti #042 way back in 2008 so for me will always be a top seller on basschat. Not quite a Valenti this time but will be using the PSU this afternoon at band rehearsal so all good. Many thanks Richard. Much appreciated 🙂
  16. Ok, the gig at Capones. Interestingly enough, someone was talking about places that aren't consistent with live music. Well, Capones has a lot of bands booked, however it's not really a music crowd. We did the best we could. It wasn't a good gig. I mentioned we haven't played a bar in years. We felt like we had went backwards. The sound was awful. Boomy and and a lot of echo. We have another gig booked there on August 12th. We decided on the way home to cancel it. One good thing. It was an $800.00 gig. Daryl
  17. Home By The Sea - Genesis
  18. Yes, my 1980s Squier JV Jazz, which is a similar vintage to the OP's Fender, and a copy of a 60s bass, is wired the same. I reckon Leo figured it wouldn't matter with the giant ashtray over the top hiding it. EDIT - mine is the same size and look as Clarky's original example, not as wide and shiny as the OPs.
  19. Home In My Hand - Foghat
  20. or you could use a plug cutter to cut the wood around the screw and then dowel the hole once you have broken off the plug with the screw still inside, cheap set about £12, smallest diameter 6mm can cut something like 25-30mm deep Last weeks twoodford yt video showed him using a home made plug cutter to extract a headless 3" screw from a previously 'repaired' guitar neck joint
  21. Heaven In My Hands - Level 42
  22. I have not used Dragster, although a pedal maker said that such units may not work well. Better alternative is to find a distortion that works with your basses. I tested several pedals after I found that not every pedal is functional with every bass.
  23. I just reread the original post and noticed how recently this bass was built, which I didn't initially pick up (geddit....?) Given that, I suspect it would be easier for people here to help if you provided more details e.g., the make and model, which would allow people here to advise on the technical side, for example which PUPs should be in the bass. Re the legal side, @RhythmJunky is probably correct in terms of warranty, and given it was built in 2024 this might still be a legally enforceable path you could take, but as @warwickhunt suggested, probably best to try diplomacy first! But it sounds like you might have tried diplomacy and the builder has pushed back. So, if this is - as appears to be the case - an error in design or build, a little pressure applied on this forum would do no harm, whoever the builder is, it's likely a significant percentage of his market read this forum (although given it was a UK builder it's possible it was a custom order which might make things more problematic).
  24. Thank you dude, I appreciate the bump. It is awesome, like all ACGs, and it wouldn't be going if I wasn't planning an immediate replacement.
  25. Monkey gone to heaven. Pixies
