Don't you need it for your inflated ego and bloated megalomania..? ...

Hey all, I answered a wanted add from Bob, a quick deal all around. Wouldn’t hesitate to deal with again. Peace.

Steve Rodby is one of those super annoying bassists that play only the right notes at the right time. Sarcasm aside, I'd love to be able to play that way, to make the instrument sing.

Looks (and sounds) like an absolute beast! I had to stop and admire that bridge design - very clever way to get that many strings into that space.

I don't have all these answer but I can say that it needs 9VDC / 200 mA, boss type. So it can be powered by some serious multi-output PSU on a pedalboard - unlike your Helix I would assume. Also, maybe these little plugs would help you integrate on your board : https://www.cme-pro.com/midi-cables/ https://www.rockboard.de/en/cables/ Also the link to the FI manual should help (thoughnot for the pedal dimensions, at least for MIDI instructions) https://www.auraplug.com/panda/downloads/FI User Guide v4.11.pdf

1956 Fender P Bass @ Tom's Guitar Shop
Happy Jack replied to madshadows's topic in General Discussion
Well what else can I use my aircraft hanger for? Eh? Well? -
After seeing his work so far, it seems nothing is impossible for him. I would say: very custom!

I suppose you know a Quantum with a 34" scale is a 26 fret model and quite novel? I do not remember if there are models from the 80's that are Quantum AND 34"? During 90's everything in the Q SPi range was 35". (TBX may have been whatever, because as its name states: through body experimental, but I do not consider that they belong to the family of bolt-on Qs.)

Having been taken to task on a couple of other threads about synth bass pedals, I'm have a serious look at the Future Impact. It looks as though the VIP version might be small enough to fit in the 150mm x 95mm space on the top of my Helix Floor between the page right button, the expression pedal the volume control and the top set of foot switches. However the location of the input and output sockets, the MIDI in socket and the power in socket might scupper this plan as they all need to feed past the Helix output volume and phone volume knobs. can anyone provide measurement for the locations of these? Also the web page doesn't provide any information about the PSU supplied. Is it a wall wart or does it have a separate 13amp plug? It looks as thought it is possible to trigger the filter using MIDI note information without also feeding the MIDI synth into it. Can someone confirm this is the case? What I want to do is to just process my bass via the filter but have the ADSR which controls the filter respond to MIDI note information for attack and release rather than the envelope of the input signal. Can I do this?

I attempted to reduce the shimmage (is that a word?) today and met with no success. I think its going to ned to have some material removed from the heel. This I plan to do by doing a little bit of gentle planning. I need to get a plane first though...the only one I have atm is a black and decker electic one and that will be much too brutal. Gentle touch needed, I fancy...

Harry bought my Markbass cabinet. Had a great chat about all things bass. A pleasure to deal with. Thanks @Harry

They are hard down Andy...chocking off accross the strings when I go above the 14th fret...

I had one; the neck is wider to keep the string spacing. I would've preferred it to have a narrower neck and closer strings.

Anyone solder wires into mains plugs?
itu replied to Steve Browning's topic in Repairs and Technical
Molded plugs usually have crimped or welded connections. I think crimping is the most popular way because it is fast, cheap, and reliable. -
gary mac started following Hercules microphone stand, as new

Just received a message from the previous owner that it was bought like this new. I think this will be worth the effort to upgrade the electrics.

I love the look of these early P basses but at the end of the day I'm also sure there are sound reasons why Leo Fender tweaked the design and stuck with those changes for the rest of his time at Fender. Ergonomics and quieter pickups being 2 of the obvious ones.

Thanks, it’s a little darker than it’s bigger brother - also Starry Night finish.

Yes, actually was thinking about two possibilities Either a third switch, as those having the big enclosure like myself have space for it - depends if the board can accomodate an extra switch. If not possible to add a button to the current board, but the board can accept a change of function of the Bypass to program down, it would be nice for those using their FI with a MFX on the FX loop (or a looper). I myself use a Boss MS-3 and could dedicate a loop for that bit. Of course the MIDI can do Program Changes but sometimes you may want to change the presets on FI alone, without changing on the other device.

If that was just defretted it would have had to have the entire fingerboard replaced, because there's no hiding the original fingerboard dots unless you shave off a few millimeters! Either way, cool score. It looks great!
