  1. Past hour
  2. I would have said Fodera but might be a struggle budget wise 😅 i always associated Ibanez basses to have lots of top end but then I was never keen on the low end of their sound.
  3. My case of choice too, if I’ve brought a bass, that doesn’t come with a case.
  4. Won’t ever sell mine, fantastic cases.
  5. time stand still - rush
  6. My case of choice... anyone want to sell me theirs?
  7. All my basses have plenty of sizzle if I turn up the treble somewhere in my signal chain.
  8. I've been fast and loose based on my memories of books read in my teens/twenties and written in the seventies. I think my wires got crossed between some of the different case studies. I am pretty sure I am right about a blind test with an audience where they matched a 10W output to the volume of a small orchestra. Looking around, Lowther do 5 and 8-inch drivers for enclosures that cost about the same as a luxury car that claim 35Hz... Horns can be crazy things... these PA horns were my grandfather's, then father's, and were still being hired out (with new drivers) for equestrian events a couple of years ago, because they sounded far better than modern speakers in that application. The photos would be early/mid-1950s.
  9. 312 and I bloomin' well feel like it after cutting two big hedges, and 3 small ones. Where's that weedkiller ?
  10. Wow !!!!! It is indeed a very sad loss to the British Music Industry, if this is all correct.
  11. …and that apparently makes me 1033 - I certainly feel that sometimes
  12. Many thanks both for the confirmation! I forgot to mention that, yes the original speaker had already been swapped out for an 8ohm Celestion BN-15-300S (which might explain why the cab was a little lighter than I was expecting). I'm not sure how to determine whether that speaker is suitable for the cab. Based on these pictures from an eBay listing for the same model cab, the original speaker would have been a JBL 043091H. The internal dimensions of the cab are 62cm x 62cm x 32cm, and the oblong front-facing port measures 62cm x 3.5cm Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
  13. Spector with EMG's and a Tonepump or EMG preamp. Musicman anything also a good call. Status Graphite Series II, Stealth and Modulus basses with EMG pickups can also be very bright when the strings are fresh.
  14. Going on tour 31st March, so happy to take offers before it gets chopped in!

  16. They are a misery to lug around. But often will fit in a fairly small car …
  17. Going on tour 31st March, so happy to take offers before it gets chopped in!
  18. May I know how much to post to London ?
  19. Bumping this! I go on tour on the 31st, this is £1000 til I go away then is likely getting chopped in.
  20. It has the 2.5mm hex intonation adjustment screws and screws either side to lock the saddles. It's off a 2017 Euro 4 LX. It's gold. It weighs 442g. It's pretty much as new and came off an NOS bass. It's a useful upgrade for Spectors that don't have the adjustment screws.
  21. This Could Be The Blast Time - The Rolling Stones
  22. I am #37553, a simple sequence of odd numbers.
