  1. Past hour
  2. Similar thing happened to me a few gigs ago, fortunately @Happy Jack was on hand to sort out the speakon cable which wasn't fully inserted in to the cab.
  3. If only I didn't need a new cabinet first....nice amp.. Best of luck with the sale.
  4. this is my new Torzal on a stand), but the sound is identical, it will give you some idea, it outside & a iPhone(ignore the singing ..ha)
  5. ...you know you need some more gooey funk in your life. 🕺
  6. Bought this a year or so back, always wanted one. However, I never really had the chance to use it in the band. Having a clear out, and really can’t justify keeping it. Few chips on the front from carrying it, some surface scratches on the rear, nothing major. I’ll ask £50, half price, £5 postage which will go towards the sending. Payment by PayPal ‘gift’ please. PM with any questions, thanks for looking! SB 😀
  7. Axl is great! Fantastic bassplayer and a really nice guy!
  8. Last gig while soundchecking, no sound from the bass. Soundguy "Is the amp switched on?". Me "yes". Now in my defence it looked like the amp light was on. But it was an outside gig and it was just the sun shining on it, making it look bright. When the sound walked over and turned the amp on I looked like a right 🤬 I've only been gigging for 40 years 😖
  9. Actually, I believe there is only one left alive (Otis Williams), so my comment in the singular was grammatically correct!
  10. I've had them through a venue I used to mix in. J Mascis has the loudest guitar rig I've ever stood in front of. Three full stacks behind him, dimed, and then just in case he can't hear himself there's a Fender Twin stood on a flightcase at ear level just off stage to his right 🤯 Great band though!

    Fretless pedal

I agree……I have one and use it regularly. Not cheap though.
  12. @lvrossem, if you're near Antwerp, contact Axl Peleman, he is an excellent professional bassist, alongside a super cool guy, and he could certainly help you a lot with these beginner's issues. https://m.facebook.com/100077285695087/ Say hello from Tony in Etalle, where he came home to buy my Takamine TB10 and we had a very long talk around a cuppa.

    Fretless pedal

This is THE pedal for fretless, simply called The Fretless, by FKT Audio, an Italian company: https://www.fktaudio.com/articolo/the-fretless/
  15. Small, purple box of funk! Sounds great - (and makes a very happy pair with a Solidgold FX beta if you want a little dirt to help open up the filter). A couple of tiny little battle scars on the paint work but I'll throw in the fluff on the bottom for free!
  16. That’s not actually saying much alternatively you could be saying that we are mostly older than God.:)
  17. Thanks! It's a nice combo with some heft to the tone. If it was practical for me to have multiple rigs, I'd keep hold of it.
  18. Nowadays legally speaking as there's a calibrated decibel meter in each and every venue in Luxembourg, yes, and they have become very strict about that. But I don't see the point of your remark, as it's simply another anecdote about way too loud gigs.
  19. Cheers Rich, I’ll post pics in the morning 👍
  20. Solidgold FX beta overdrive £80 with the box, fancy bag and instructions. A couple of tiny dings on the paintwork but otherwise works and sounds great!
  21. Today
  22. That’s apparently how Cliff Williams of AC/DC uses his. I tried it, couldn’t get on with it. Wish I’d been able to use it in the band tho (was bought & sold during COVID), who knows, might have loved it. Did try my 3-band eq ‘Ray with the band, just couldn’t get it to work - which in Lozz Speak means I tried to make it sound like a Precision and failed.
  23. I think some of it for us is simply a few bad bookings. There are some gigs that aren't a good match for us. I have a tough time playing to people that have no interest in us. However, I'll take the blame, we booked it. Daryl
