  2. The bass in question
  3. £50 price reduction Trades - X Touch Universal. Try me with anything, I can only say no 😁 Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Not a heavy bass. Plays well. Not really any damage to speak of. There’s a little bit at the top of the headstock (photographed) but looks much worse than it actually is. I’ve removed the strap lock pins and replaced them with the originals that were odd when I got it. The case is old but fully function and all the clasps work. Chrome hardware and a vintage sunburst finish. Mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and a basswood body. A retro instrument with a modern twist." Maple Top Mahogany Body Mahogany Neck Lignum Rosa Fingerboard Entwistle MBH Bridge Pickup Entwistle MBN Neck Pickup Jumbo Frets 42mm Nut Width 30" Scale Length Can post at buyers expense or can be collected from BB22SH Any questions please ask.

  4. Symphony of Destruction - Megadeaf
  5. I had the stereo and sold it. Regretted it and bought the mono. It really is the Swiss Army knife of amp world. I’ve got a Markbass Evo 1 to try out at the moment which basically, has the Multiamp amps and effects but has two independent channels, which is exactly what I need. I think it’s what I’ve been looking for, for a long time 😁
  6. Thanks again for putting this together @rwillett - I am currently confirmed for April 25 🙂 Don't do it if it's just me that's interested, but I'd love to see the 3D printer in action. I'm currently dipping my toe into FreeCAD - no real goal in mind but I'm seeing if I can model the casing of these G&L MFD pickups as a learning exercise. I don't have much to bring that's different from last year, but that will hopefully be: - "Jem" my 2015 G&L Custom Shop JB in silver heavy metal flake - Paulman relic 60's Precision which is wearing lovely Dunlop flats - A recently acquired Squier 40th Anniversary Precision in Lake Placid Blue with gold hardware - I'm also "building" a Harley Benton Precision kit with a G&L MFD humbucker as a poor man's L-1000. My goal is to have it done by the bash. Might be an unplayable disaster. You can point and laugh at least 🫣 I live down in Skipton now so I'm happy to come up early if you'd like an extra pair of hands to set up the hall.
  7. No one in their right mind wants Essex in the name of their event! I'll be bringing fretted and fretless short scale Jabba basses, Grace Design Alix, Effectrode compression of some sort, QSC K12.2.
  8. Oh, wasn't asking for devilment, just to see if I could help. I suspect not - the oldest bass I own is a 1978 Yamaha BB1200...
  9. That's an SB-R60 or an SB Elite I, which are broadly identical - apart from minor neck width differences, apparently. I've only ever seen fretted TSBs in this finish - is yours definitely factory?
  10. Relisting this as, try as I might, I am not A Jazz Bass Guy. Original thread below, the only thing that’s changed since May is the bass is now wearing a nicely worn in set of La Bella IMA Super Polished strings. I’m in the market for a JMJ Mustang so would be interested in a trade involving one of those (plus cash adjustment on my end). Collection from Haywards Heath preferred, or I’d be happy to meet within 30 miles or so.

  11. I’d go for a decent strap, a clip-on tuner, some fun knobs, or a good set of strings. A small pedal mat or a pack of quality patch cables can be handy too.

  13. Ah! Interesting and unusual… thank you!
  14. @Frank Blank is in Essex if I remember rightly. How long do you reckon the thread title field on the forum software is?
  15. Well, holy moly, wowzas. Playing around with an 0coast and few other bits and it is UNREAL. some very interesting stuff happens. Love this pedal.
  16. And their prices are even very decent for such interesting instruments (just check how the body is made). Thanks for sharing, Russ! 😊 https://aristidesinstruments.com/
  17. Ah that's the one I thought weighed as much as a car and was actually about the same weight as a Warwick Gnome...
  18. As old as possible really. My head says there shouldn't be that much difference in good basses over the years, my heart would like to disagree 😄 Just to be clear, I do not want to start a flame war here. Just would love to learn a bit more. Rob
  19. I don't normally like fancy wood finishes but this looks super nice. Any idea of the weight?
  20. my first bass back in the day ..
  21. Withdrawing this and will part it out in the next couple of weeks, once again too many basses 👍

    Darkglass Anagram

I play in a rock/metal covers band and write and record at home, also play some guitar. I was seriously considering Anagram based on functionality and form factor. (My gigging board is massive) I've yet to see if it can do my core tones that aren't DG based (Harris, Sheehan and Duff mainly) I'd also like 3 parallel paths ( can anagram do that?) Then yesterday I saw the QC mini...great form factor for me with full QC power... Do you think it is worth the extra £200 over the Anagram?? I definitely prefer the idea of modelling rather than captures... My experience of NAM captures is very...meh... Thoughts?
  23. I’ve got a set of Schaller BM brushed tuners I’m about to list for sale 👍
  24. Today
  25. have a mk2 Octabvre for sell instead of trade...if that's worth that much now .
