  2. I still don't see the value at that price. The only wood thats maybe from 62 is the maple part of the neck. £2250 would be a price I genuinely think would be a huge struggle to sell it for as it sits. I can see this being sold and not long after being resold elsewhere with less of a description and still claiming it to be a '62. At least BD have been honest in their description, though in the title they definitely should make it clearer.

    Fretless pedal

the FKT Fretless Pedal is quite good but I suggest try before buy , it looks like significant coin to get one I use one with a 2EQ Stingray fretless with flats and I think it's glorious
  5. the 2EQ USA Sub from c. 2002-2004 are cool
  6. looks great but 450 not 4500
  7. I can't remember ever feeling I had to buy something due to what other people said So far I've been lucky with everything I have purchased since the late 1980's I did get a Stingray 5 unplayed unseen that required Luthier time to get it playable

  9. 2EQ stingray with flats is totally the business Amps with missing knobs firmly agree!
  10. Early-ish I think. I bought from here in mid-2022. I found this demo from 2016 which looks like the same version. As I didn’t buy it new I can’t give you a year for sure.
  11. You're a pathetic, old man that failed at life. Can't play your instrument well, and are miserable af to actually comment that... utterly miserable, never worked professionally a day in your life either I'd imagine
  12. There’s no expression output on the pedal. You can take the signal from the “envelope out” port and run it through an inverter, which is what you needed the CP-251 control processor for.

  14. Will consider Mustang trades/P bass with Jazz neck/Jazz or similar. Bought earlier in the year but doesn't fit my band's vibe aesthetically. They were a limited run of 2 years, increasingly hard to find and super well made (I see you, China sceptics!) I've owned 2 90s Rivolis, a Guild Starfire 2 reissue and 2 Jack Casady basses. This outplays them all, IMO. Few minor body dings from previous owner, neck and fretboard perfect, though. Comes with a padded soft case. Plays great, sounds great! Just can't justify having a semi hollow at this moment. Collection with cash/PayPal friends and family preferred but will package to post if you book the courier. Any questions, hit me!
  15. You just have to remember that the left hand is Motor and the right hand is Dynamo, then First finger is Field, seCond finger is Current, and thuMb is motion. Fleming's left and right hand rules (no relation).
  16. Nux Mighty Plug or Boss Katana Go will run headphones and you can select effects on them - the Boss is superior to the Nux but they're both perfectly usable. Further up the budgetary scale, there's the Positive Grid Spark Neo which is a wireless dongle combined with wireless headphones, and for another £100+ there's the Boss Waza Air. All four of these allow you to play music on a Bluetooth device paired with them so you can play along. I've got the first three of these and my very much preferred option is the Positive Grid Spark Neo as it's wireless and the included headphones are good quality. The Nux and the Boss Katana both need you to supply headphones which does mean possible extra expense but also means you have a choice of what headphone you use.
  17. Sorry for resurrecting such an old thread, but listening to last year’s China Greatness album of "deconstructed /reconstructed” hits, I was blown away by how the wonderful fretless with chorus sounds in this new version, it almost has a 3D effect compared to the original (bass comes in at 3:50): Does anyone have any idea which specific fretless bass is being used? By the way, the bassist on the recording was Andy Pask from the band Landscape.
  18. Hello, I'm traveling to England for my daughter's wedding in a few weeks time. I'm to perform at the event but am having trouble finding an instrument. I only need it for the first week of September and will be based out of Andover. I need an instrument with a pickup, and would be playing both pizz and arco. Can anyone help me? Oh, I'll probably need an amp (but that's a lot easier to find!)
  19. I do hate people not knowing history. Double bass belongs to gamba family. Burn those violins. And stop using that g-word. It's an electric bass.
  20. I learnt very quickly not to write my charts in red ink!!!! I was looking at an empty page.
  21. I Can't Dance - Genesis
  22. Folk that confound 'there', 'their' and ... Nah, I'll not bother after all.
  23. Out of interest, how did it compare with other cabs? I never did any comparisons, just used it I think for one gig and then went to a GR Bass combo so I could have a combo that was even lighter than the cab.
  24. I do have a black strap with a racing orange stripe which I like (as it is on an orange bass), but not a right on one. I just got a right on paisley red for my red ric.
