  3. both to good to be sat in the shelf both £100 posted
  4. Really, reallt teensie ones.
  5. eBay, I think. I measured the distance between the strap button and the top of the bass, then from that edge to the bridge. I think it was for a guitar, but it works perfectly...
  6. Which? The ashtrays or the creme? Or both?? Tis a nice bass.
  7. It's a shame and as a JHS endorsee, where will I get my strings from now The MD is past retirement age but was still working when I last spoke with him. He was, in fact, the rep that visited the shop I worked in back in the last 80s early 90s Also a shame for the staff, I know what it's like trying to sell a business and sometimes it's just easier to close it down but it leaves people out of work Good luck to the staff and to the MD in retirement
  8. I never got round to building this, it's a programmable eurorack module that does lots of things such as LFO's, chord generation, random generator, arps etc. Full details here - https://allensynthesis.co.uk/modules/europi.html https://github.com/Allen-Synthesis/EuroPi Includes pretty much everything you need to build it - chips, screen, Raspberry Pico Pi etc etc - you just need the resistors and capacitors. Price includes postage
  9. I can throw in the official Line 6 PSU too
  10. I had an unlined fretless precision bitzer which I build over 20 years ago. The neck was really nice with a dark ebony board, however I never really took to fretless and I have not played it for a long time. A few weeks ago I fitted a Fender fretted neck to it and it is currently at the Gallery having the nut cut. The fretless neck is now packed away safely in a Fender neck box while I decide what to do with it.
  11. I'm actually surprised at how cool that looks.
  12. Don't P-Basses have slightly wider frets or have I been believing something wrong that I was told about a long time ago 🤣
  13. Smaller frets?
  14. And Dave Mattacks on drums. That man grts everywhere!
  15. Still want this but wallet says no 😔
  16. I must admit, I do love the look and the sound of a fretless Precision, there's something that is just so right about that combination, like apple pie and custard. However, in my hands, I much prefer playing a fretless Jazz. Not sure if its the smaller frets because I play all over the board, but I am way more comfortable with a fretless Jazz.
  17. Price drop - £170 posted
  18. I too assumed it was PIno until I found out otherwise by accident, Mike. PIno does play on some tracks on that album, though. For my taste, one of the great bass lines of the 1980's .
  19. I will be swapping the strings over to a set of ghs compression wound.
  20. Great decision 👏

  22. That is normally the story, trying to scrabble together funds to keep the lights on. This is just a business where (as it stands) no-one wants to keep it running, even though it is turning a profit. Although, now it's in the press a magic buyer may appear.
