  2. There are where we get the timber for short-scale necks, presumably?

You are Dr Who and I claim my £5. ...
  4. If you really want to curse them, substitute “Les Paul” for “bass” above. Do it properly
  5. Or are large enough to need a seat of their own. I suspect OP may be thinking “bonsai” as a) he has limited luggage space b) can only carry so much luggage c) needs to consider whether they’d shed needles or soil over his in-luggage crème egg stash
  6. Big shows…yup. although I did play a pub in Chorley with it… depends on my mood…but it’s there to be played. I have “lesser” basses I worry about more.
  7. We're Going To Ibiza - VengaBoys
  8. I lived backing on to Branston Water Park from 2022 to 2020. My daughter was born in the QE Hospital in Burton, but we lived in Tamworth in those days.
  9. Are you guys putting your basses on stands, or leaning them up against something during a gig? My basses live in Mono M80 Vertigo gig bags unless they are being played. I'm more likely to damage a bass at home than on a gig.
  10. If you've never played a modern Japanese BB and are interested, try it. It's a steal at this price.
  11. I've been chasing transparency for sometime, favouring a rack set up paired with a Matrix power stage. Fantastic setup. Right now I'm using a Tech 21 XB Driver until GSS Baby Sumo. It's plenty loud.
  12. I'm Going To Spain - Steve Bent
  13. now then, I didn’t say I’d be singing the lyrics 😘 😁
  14. Y Viva Espana - Sylvia
  15. Wow.
  16. Leaving On a Jet Plane - Peter, Paul & Mary
  17. Midnight train to Georgia - Gladys Knight and the Pips
  18. Nighty night 🤣
  19. There’s something not right there, I haven’t used mine for long periods of time but I use it regularly and I don’t charge it very often, maybe drop your question here and see what others are saying
  20. Just discovered this Andy/Lee. I'd buy any of our brother or sister Basschatters a beer or three if we met so enjoy my virtual round! BTW don't be organising bus runs to my next gig! 😂
  21. Oh, I'm out, it's getting far too nitpicky in here. All playing is equally valid, regardless of who's doing it, where it's happening, whether or not it's for monetary gain, what time of day it's happening or any other stupid variable you'd like to throw at it. I don't care any more. Some of you have made this thread unbearable. Go play a bass or something
  22. How did I miss this? That's a killer bass, Andy. I love it - but is it any good for metal?
  23. No sweat, i do it all the time... 😜 I have and... still hoping ! Cheers
  24. Despite the thread title the question was actually whether an "irreplaceable" instrument would be used in a pub.
  25. Ah bugger, my bad. Good luck with Epifani - have you tried Talkbass? Pretty sure the owner/designer posts on there.
  26. ... one piece of advice I have been given is don't have an excess of blade showing, ie. have the top and bottom guides appropriately adjusted height wise. This also reduces the risk of injury if/when a blade snaps as more should be guarded.
