  1. Past hour
  2. Sum-thing - Beatles (again)
  3. WOW, that is going to have some deep and meaningful Attitude 😮
  4. Actually forget that, I just saw the Mvave on amazon for £29 inc Prime delivery. Also noticed it can run off USB so I can leave it plugged in. Just ordered one. For me the best feature will be the Low cut. As much as the EBS does send great through headphones, I can't quite tame the low end as much as the Nux did with its IR on.
  5. Price drop now £115! Inspired by both new and old, the AfterLife has FOUR different internal analog circuits that provide 2 distortions and 2 fuzzes. Providing plenty of headroom and a ton of gain, these four selections will cover all the distorted ground you’ve got. While the outside boasts a lone Mode selection knob and a Volume control, there’s more under the hood to this one. Internal adjustable trimpots are available for all four modes, with parameters like overall Volume, Bias, Gain and Filter. The enclosure is 100% Solid Aircraft Aluminum Machined. The artwork on the front and back is laser-engraved, and each AfterLife pedal is 100% hand-wired and hand-built. Collect from Chesterfield or add £5 for UK postage. Cheers! Sam
  6. Here’s my TC Electronic RH450 in used condition. Everything works perfectly - this is a proper workhorse of an amplifier, and small/light enough to use as a backup when gigging. Collect from Chesterfield (5 mins from M1 J29) or I can post for an additional £15. Cheers! Sam

  8. As much as these make sense aesthetically and ergonomically, that would make them just about impossible to replace with anything else when the tone doesn't suit the user. Using regular soapbar pickups makes much more sense because the pickups are easily interchangeable - since many soapbar sizes are standardised and used by several manufacturers. That said, there are some manufacturers who give their soapbars a little notch for your thumb (Yamaha did this on some RBX models, and Ibanez on the SRX series pickups, and Delano does it on those weird oval pickups of theirs) and then there's Dingwall who give the ends of their soapbars a curve so there's always a small area pointing "up". None of these use standard sizes.
  9. Not heard they were hard to maintain Daryl. I think they have a dual truss rod system tho. Not even sure if the new ones still use a twin truss rod ? They do look good tho. My first real interest in Ric's was when i came across Rush in 76 and Geddy was using one. Then a lot of Prog bands used them too and i liked the tone but Geddy proved that he could make his Jazz sound just like a Ric and fooled us all. 😂 Dave
  10. Really liking that Openhagen one, Ped. Very stylish. I recently ordered a couple of the rather good Fender "Offset Bass" mini stands, which are perfect for Jazz Basses, as you can make the left side slightly higher. They're very stable and surprisingly compact. Not sexy like the Openhagen, though. Why they didn't think of this 60 years ago, I have no idea...
  11. Hi Terry. I have had some interest – maybe things are just slow these days. I'm surprised it's still here, to be honest!
  12. Hi. Here you go (from the Gator site)... Length 12.50" Width 19.00" Height 9.00" Cheers!
  13. PRICE NOW DROPPED TO £275. LAST WEEK TO COLLECT FROM LONDON DUE TO HOME MOVE... Easily the best speaker cabinet I have ever used: am downsizing to lighter Genz Benz cabs as I rarely play live now. The Eden D210XST Cab is loud enough to be heard and yet still small enough to be used at home or in a small studio. For those players who need a portable, high-performance rig with even more low end than the XLT, Eden has designed a 2 x 10" cabinet for their XST woofers. Punchy and clean, the D210XST produces a full and clear tone through its two 10" speakers. It's excellent for delivering articulate bass lines with volume. This 2 x 10" cabinet handles more power than many 4 x 10" cabs on the market. The D210XST offers huge bottom end with its cleverly-designed tuned and ported cabinet construction and speaker selection: the low end is full but tight, the mids are open and well-defined and the highs are clear and crisp. Durable build quality makes this ideal for touring and live performances. All Eden enclosures are constructed with 5/8" thick void free plywood with full dado and rabbet jointing. Massive internal bracing prevents vibration and keeps the sound deep, tight and clear. Exclusive Eden Cast Frame loudspeakers and Eden Cast Bell low distortion tweeter horns are designed, hand-built and tested in their own factory in the USA. Very Good condition. Comes with an official Eden cover. Power Handling: 500 Watts Impedance: 8 Ohms Speakers: 2x10" Eden-spec Eminence EC1060XS speakers Tweeter: Eden Cast Bell low distortion Crossover: 3.5KHz @ 18dB Frequency Response: 30Hz - 14KHz Sensitivity: 103dB SPL Connections: Parallel 1/4 Inch and Speakon Dimensions: 23" w x 18" h x 18.5" d Weight: 59lbs / 26.8kg NOW ONLY £300. Collection from East London preferred, although happy for buyer to arrange a courier.
  14. Fabulous cabs. I had the 12”. Sound great., impeccably made and light as. GLWTS.
  15. Very nearly bought two of these from Bass Direct. Ruach branded.
  16. Just by way of advice, when you land the 12-string, buy yourself a Sansamp XB driver. It's a bi-amp system in a single unit.
  17. There are probably more Streamers in the 6x2 configuration, but they've done some in 4x3 too. This is the one Doug Wimbish played:
  18. He’s a young slapper. Your role is safe.
  19. I have one of these Valeton GP-5 pedals and for ease of use and the small size vs the price it’s one of the best pieces of kit I’ve tried in some time. Use your phone app to tweak it, don’t need to PC up for it. GLWTS
  20. I see the Warwick Streamers are 6 courses of 2 strings (6x2). Unusual. I couldn't see any with 4 courses of 3 (4x3) variants.
  21. Add It Up - The Kinks
  22. I've now put out enquiries to Waghorn (Bristol), Grainger (LE15), and Shuker (Hope Valley) as UK builders that are easy to visit. The Brookes basses are stunning and I have a response from Rob. I'm not rushing into this, just going through all the options before pushing the button.
  23. Thanks. I have a few preamps I will be putting up for sale over the next few days.
  24. That looks brilliant 😍
