  2. Is it possible to run the bxr 400 into a single cab? I’m not trying to run both inputs. I just wanna know nothing is gonna blow if i just rig it up like you would any other bass head. One head one cab etc.
  3. Best amp I’ve ever played. Can’t afford, probably don’t need, but boy I wish I could get it! GLWS
  4. This is the first of several BB1000's I have owned. After 20+ years of this bass being my favourite tool for live and studio work, I decided to give it a makeover. During the time the bass was at the painter, I became very friendly with another 1000MA. But when I took this bass out of its bag yesterday, I immediately knew what I was holding in my hand again. This neck, this specific weight, which my arm immediately recognised... For me and what I do, this is the best bass in the world. And by God, I've had so many more expensive axes, but this is the bass of my life. The new paintwork should still be dark on the one hand, but on the other it should catch the odd spotlight on stage. I tell you, little sparks fly in the sunlight.. 🤩
  5. Or a voluntary redundancy?
  6. Peaches. Bloody horrible song.
  7. Is this a voluntary oxymoron?
  8. Lovely looking bass. As well as the truss-rod, do these have carbon rods reinforcing the neck?
  9. High Fade last night @ Strings Bar and Venue, I.O.W. Ridiculously good. So much so that I’m off to sell all my gear in the For Sale forum. Bastards. 😁
  10. Picked up an Ashdown Triple shot on sale at pmt, sounds Really good, I had a double shot a while back, but 3 bands to play with you can get some great tones.
  11. Too Much Ain't Enough - Tom Petty
  12. i have a local convenience store which is an evri parcel point - have used it many times as ev ri and previously as hermes and not had a single problem
  13. This thread is why I like Basschat. It's sensible, informative, slightly amusing and helpful, apart from the fact I can't see the picture but clearly other people can 😊 Looking forware to the next update.
  14. I Just Can't Get Enough - Depeche Mode
  15. Yes I will be selling the whole board. Listings to follow!
  16. As they have round cores I would say there's a bit mellower than the D'Ads. Watch this video, from 1:56 to 2:42 and then again from 6:49 to 7:35, which might help.
  17. I pulled this as the new price has dropped below £500 now. However, on reflection I think £600 for the amp in mint condition, plus the bluetooth adapter, footswitch and carry bag is still a good deal, so it's back up again.
  18. Think this looks fab, unfortunately out of my range right now so have a bump on me
  19. I played a 5 string Thumb for 20 years, just got another one, luckily I love the sound they make. I get on fairly well with MM SR5's and I had Alan at ACG build me a 17mm spaced Krell fretless which is a beauty. I'd love a Pedulla Pentabuzz or a Mark 3 Wal, but the spacing just doesn't work.
  20. It's surprising because every other implementation of an "SVT in a box" model models the breakup e.g. SansAmp VTBass, Origin Effects Super Vintage, Ampeg SGT-DI, QC Ampeg Model, Helix Ampeg Model etc. That's one of the key advantages of a model over the real thing, I can get the very aurally pleasing breakup without needing the monumental volume. But even the SVT Classic has a gain control that creates the SVT drive sound (albeit, quite loudly): I genuinely don't understand what's so surprising about our bewilderment that the amp models don't have a gain control, or apparently model breakup in any way?
  21. Working for the Yankee Dollar - Skids
  22. Today
  23. Ours is ruthlessly quick and we always delivers our stuff. My point is, most major couriers have a brand identity. Evri is anonymous and exploits gig-economy workers. They've become large and powerful partly through this anonymity, and through paying workers peanuts and setting them hellish delivery schedules. Any time I've seen people voice a genuine grievance with them over missing parcels, damaged goods etc on Facebook it met with comments about how (usually a different driver) is good. Therefore Evri is good as this is their only point of reference.
  24. That’s what I was going for with the Aotearoa Intermodulator- homage to the unavailable original, and all black, because, well the link is my kiwi uncle introducing rugby to me… and also it looked cool.
  25. Ours too, but then again, we’re obviously halfwits. 😂
