  2. Cannae beat a good Stranglers bass line. I used to play that as my sound check with the punk band every now and again. Dave
  3. the V7 is a nice amplifier no issues at the moment. one year old
  4. Natural 'n Black Hardware with Blocks sounds nice...
  5. I have put together and painted a Daphne Blue nitro sprayed Jazz Bass with nitro gloss clearcoat. There are a couple of very tiny paint imperfections on the body (wind blown specs of dust as it was sprayed outside) which are not noticeable unless it is under your nose and in the right light. Overall, as you can see from the photos, the paint finish is very good. There is also a thread in the builds section where I talk about these. Spec; Weight 9.4lbs New Okoume body with nitro finish New 20 fret polyester coated roasted Maple neck with block inlays and colour matched headstock face Fretboard edges rolled and frets dressed for a lovely smooth playing experience New Wilkinson M series pickups New Bloodstone Guitarworks wiring with CTS pots with volume/volume/tone New Guyker tuners Schaller type strap buttons Gotoh Bridge New White pearl pick guard with plastic still on New D’addario EXL165 .45 - .105 strings New Donner gig bag The action is lovely and the bass sounds and plays like a dream. I am passionate about building good looking but very gigable basses that I would want to own. In fact, I like this bass so much, I am planning to start another one for my own collection. It is really important to me that anyone that buys my basses is happy with their purchase so having a test play on collection is absolutely allowed and encouraged. I want you to go away happy. If you have any questions or want more photos to help make a decision to buy then do not hesitate to get in touch. Collection from Fleet, Hampshire and I often WFH so this can potentially be during the day in the week as well.

  6. I love an Ibanez and have 2 of my own. The 600 would look fantastic with a refinish. I think I am going roasted maple neck with black block inlays. That will work with the pickguard and black hardware.
  7. One of the above, good working order, Velcro on bottom. £50 inc postage in UK.

  8. If postage ever becomes an option please DM me @Lozz196 and let me know, this would have sold within a week if it had been I think
  9. Lovely looking bass. As well as the truss-rod, do these have carbon rods reinforcing the neck?
  10. Long way for you to travel, sir. Hope it goes well.
  11. Thats a miracle of Lazarus-like proportions Pete! God only knows how they did it…
  12. In the 80s/90s I used a 150W Laney Probass. Imagine anyone daring to call a 150W head 'pro' these days!
  13. That's my favourite thing to do as well. I spend far too long getting parts perfect rather than getting good enough fast.
  14. I bought some cheap powered speakers from Thomann. To their credit they give RMS power as well as the manufacturers claimed power. "Power: 600 W Peak / 140 W (RMS)"
  15. Looking again I’d suggest the original foam disintegrated and this is some modern silicon putty from when the EMGs went in
  16. Sorry yes, Stranglers. I'd like to do the Presidents of the USA one because I've never heard anyone cover that, but alas it's not that one.
  17. I’ve never watched a ballet, modern dance yes, but not classical. However, I have tried with opera, but Carmen notwithstanding, it’s not for me. Then again, I’m not big on musicals either.
  18. I’m interested to see that pickup in your Bronco. I just bought one from a great old chap from Liverpool who had installed one of these (I think) in it. I’m away tonight but will send a photo tomorrow 👍
  19. These are proper nice basses! GLWTS
  20.  Link stripped out!

  22. Hey folks. i bought this back in February or March just because of my mild obsession with RATM and Timmy C. However, I’ve too many basses at home and in all honestly I don't do enough music stuff to warrant a myriad of basses throughout my house. So this got purchased and has lived in its case with the exception of 30 mins where I tested it out. Pretty much brand spanking new. The EBMM tag is still on the headstock. it’s limited edition worldwide (50 in each colour). This is the passive quentin blue version. it’s a brilliant bass but as I said, I don’t do enough to warrant keeping something like this. based in Aberdeen, can probs meet etc nearer Glasgow area. Or shipping. Though might need to find a box depending if the Status goes quick ha. Ta.

  24. If you read back about 4 posts or so you'll see I was telling Steve that I tried it in person and couldn't really see a mark on it. Not everybody likes piezo pickups? And yes I plugged it in. I also didn't say a piezo only creates hiss as I've owned a bass before with one.
