  2. Sandberg 5 string, bought new from Bass Direct in October last year (2024). Used for theatre tour which has now ended. Now I can switch back to playing 4 string! The bass was well looked after and travelled in a hard case in the car so wasn't chucked around by road crew. Plays lovely and received many compliments on it's tone. Reliced look but no dings from me. Neck is in great shape and super smooth, see pics... Looking for sale not trades. Feel free to visit me in Wolverhampton, I can drive to meet within an hour or can pack well if courier needs to be arranged. Spec in pictures.
  3. Great to play some very Dusty Hill...
  4. I had one of these coupled to an Acoustic Image Focus 2 Series II head; Best fretless tone I ever had. GLWYS.
  5. Wondering if this is my old bass. Mine was a monster. Trying to recall if I did a deal with a guy in Cardiff for a purple sparkly StingRay 5 or if I gave him the StingRay to acquire the Clover. GLWTS. Great basses.
  6. Here I have my as new Behringer X Air XR12 digital mixer in fitted rack case for sale. I purchased this to improve the setup time and FOH control of one of the cover bands I was in at the time. It hasn’t seen the light of day because the Guys in the band were rather “Ole School” and preferred to stick with their trusted Behringer PMP4000. So, it’s been to one rehearsal and mainly used for recording at home. It was fitted into a Spider shallow depth rack case which provides plenty of protection and neat rear storage for cables. These are around £230 new plus about £50 for the case. I am looking for £135 for both. I am in West Wales, but I am happy to ship at the buyer’s cost. Featuring 4 Midas-designed preamps, built-in WiFi, and USB stereo recording, it provides professional-grade sound and flexibility. The XR12 includes advanced features like auto-mixing, a 100-band RTA, and a robust FX engine, making it a powerful, portable mixing solution for any audio environment. Thanks for looking
  7. Not always possible to do without drums, depending on the type of music you're playing. Why does anyone put up with a bad drummer? Because there aren't enough good ones to go round. Those that are good are a) in demand and b) expensive and/or booked up months in advance. Ask me how I know.
  8. hi I am interested in this Where are you based? I am in East Ham E12 What's the weight of this ? I gig a lot too Please feelfree to send a text, somehow I don't receive notifications when someone answers Best Claudio 07940052175
  9. On a record I used two Leduc basses: a fretless Masterpiece MP 628 SF and a fretted U-Basse 6 MM. Exactly these very two: When the CD was released, everyone listening to it complimented me for my fretless playing on all titles, ... when half of them were played on a fretted bass. So the opposite is also possible. 😉
  10. As new Crown power amp and case. The amp is as new, only used a couple of times in the house. The case was bought at the same time and apart from a Rush sticker and a mark on the front where there was a product sticker it too is as new. The combined weight is 17 kg so collection from me inWest Wales or localish meet up please and I`m not looking for trades thanks. Specs below: 2x 450 Watt/4 Ohm 2x 330 Watt/8 Ohm 900 Watt/8 Ohm bridge mono Signal to noise ratio > 100 dB Damping factor > 200 XLR/RCA input Speaker Twist and binding post outputs Turn-on delay Protection against shorts 19", 2 U Installation depth: 31.5 cm
  11. I had an offshore medical when I was younger - like 21/22. The doctor was hugely worried when my hearing test said I was absolutely obliterated in certain frequencies… which marred up to the drummers cymbals. Hearing is still pretty goosed!
  12. It took my former bandmates a year to realise. I play fretless the same as fretted for some things, for others I play it with a more, well, fretless feel to it - depends on what I want to accomplish.
  13. Singer with no sense of time, and a tambourine.
  14. One Shot - Tin Machine
  15. You can never have too much cowbell.
  16. After picking up the excellent MB102Energy cab from a fellow basschatter my LM4 arrived from Thomann ( considerably lower in price to U.K. stores ) Sat it on top of cab and played my PBass through it 1: Wow this is a loud amp considering I’m going into a single 8ohm cab 2: Quiet ( I’ve read noisy fan complaints but this 2025 model is very quiet. 3: EQ is excellent and the 4 band works very well. 4: Mute Function 5: Selector for flat or scooped EQ works well, footswitchable too 6: Old School control rolls off the top end and makes it sound more like an old Ashdown amp warm and slightly woolly ! 7: Light ( preferred the LM4 as it’s a metal case, 58R is plastic ) 8: Sound is very good, clear punchy and makes a good match with a PBass Very pleased with this rig and not out of place at home or jam sessions, rehearsals and gigs I used a rubber mat under the amp ( light heads I normally do ) and stops feet indentation marks in the fur covering !

  17. Bought it from Andre the Giant !
  18. Apparently, the Modulus made early necks were a myth (rrp of a modulus neck was almost as much as the rrp of the G Bass), and they are not actually carbon necks as marketed, they have a maple core with a carbon wrap. Still cracking basses for the money of course, but really interesting marketing choice from Peavey; the manual literally says it's a Carbon Graphite neck with no mention of it being mostly wood. Crazy but there you go. Still want it!
  19. The girls that I was accompanying have found a drummer and a bassist (also teenage girls) who have played at the last two open mics in Tamworth. And last night they did Iron Man, which Phoebe had said she wanted to do a few weeks ago so I'd learnt it, before she recruited the new bassist. Oh well. Anyway, they are good.
  20. Knew I forgot something, it's SPARKLY GOLD
  21. Today
  22. No, just a stereo plug into the ric-o-sound output to a stereo socket into which I plug the transmitter of the Lekato WS Stereo wireless.
  23. What colour is it?
  24. TB5 is the upgraded Factory Status Pre amp replacement as the original Pre's were the weak link on these basses.
