  1. Past hour
  2. I could only see a ground lift button
  3. I was going through some of the charts today and found that there are so many errors I wanted to cry, especially as a lot of the charts that were on here prior to my suspending operations were no longer available as Sibelius charts and only as pdfs. Today, however, after puzzling over it for years, I have finally worked out how to use the photoscore facility and to generate an editable Sibelius file from a pdf. Today I revisited a Jeff Berlin chart 'All The Greats' which has a couple of sections that were in completely the wrong key to the other parts of the chart. I think it is now correct. What this means is that, any time I find an error on a older chart (and there are many), I can potentially correct the error without having to start the whole chart from scratch.
  4. Me too. Probably get told its wrong (by the guitarist), and no one else will notice 🤣
  5. Right then, I'm going to play it that way at full rehearsal next week and see if I get a reaction. I'll let you know.
  6. I guess my biggest surprise is all the tutorials over the past 30+ years have all been wrong.
  7. My interest in the T16 is inversely proportional to the amount of interesting things i have…a boxed Flattley Bass Filtron is prolly the most worthy of any interest 😀
  8. Pre/Post switch for the XLR Out?
  9. The covers band, Top Deck, played this afternoon at The Great Northern in Langley Mill, on the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border. It was the first time we’ve played there. Four-thirty on a Saturday afternoon is their standard time to have bands on. Unusual, but there was an appreciative audience up for a good time. We’ve got a booking there for August Bank Holiday as a result, so a success.
  10. I've played that song for years and it's one of those that in the verses I improvise. A bit different every time. My band are all over any harmonic anomalies and no one ever says a word.
  11. It's cos no one listens to the bass player! Even bass players by the looks of things on this thread!😅
  12. The Wreckers - Rush
  13. Just got a replacement for my original Terror Bass 500 (my son destroyed that one by putting ice cream on top of it...) and I noticed the volume control now affects the DI out signal as well as the gain, where the older models only used the gain. Is that a deliberate change or is mine goosed? I used to be able to record with my old model having the volume turned down to zero, effectively using it as a pre-amp box and now I need to have the cab blasting out to record a decent signal. I'm not gigging at the moment but I can see it causing trouble for some poor sound guy too at some point 😀
  14. I have used him in the past on an old Ric I had.. Black plate and TRC which he would only do on proof the Ric is genuine...

  18. I have a fault on my SVT 3pro that is similar to what you would get with dirty in/out sockets. I have cleaned the contacts on the sockets thoroughly, even tried linking them with a patch lead but to no avail. I know it is on the power amp section as I have tried different pre/power amp permutations. It does not always do it and it seems to do it more on low volume. A quick flick of the volume control up and down cures it for a while. It is not the bias. There is one more set of contacts, and I have had a problem with this on a hifi amp which was cured by cleaning, and that is the speaker relay. Has anyone had this problem with a speaker relay? It looks a bit fiddly to get at and pop the cover off but I will attempt it If I can't locate the problem elsewhere.
  19. What exactly is the Ultrawave - is it primarily a distortion/saturation/fuzz pedal? I’ve been sure what it is
  20. The Golden Age of Piracy - Sons of Merrick
  21. This is the way forward. I never really got the side dots thing. If you’re looking at the side you’re not going to be looking at the audience. If you need it for a gig get a chalk pencil and draw some removable lines on there!
  22. Price drop to 450££
  23. Thanks for the input folks. I guess I'm stuck in the "a bunch of notes in the hand" after the gig school, but I do like the idea of adding a percentage to the gig fee to cover their fees 😃
  24. Bump - due to osteoarthritis in my fingers I’m just not playing much these days and thus moving on this beauty, the nicest bass I’ve ever owned. price reduced to £1650 to move it on.
