  3. For this kind of work, as it simply is two rectangles, I use this jig, but they have become rather expensive... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Trend-Varijig-System-Adjustable-Frame/dp/B001UQ5PDK/
  4. yes is versatile.
  5. Weight is 4.2kg and combo is really nice, is really enjoyable with this thini or slim Neck.
  6. Alto Truesonic TS110A active PA speaker - built-in power stage, so no need for a separate amplifier! Just plug in your mixer, decks, or even run your mics in directly. 10" speaker with HF tweeter. 600W peak / 300W RMS. Lightweight Class D power stage for portability; wedge-shaped cabinet means this can be used as a PA speaker or angled floor monitor. Collection preferred; if you're not far from Kingston-upon-Thames, I may be able to drop it off for you.

  7. I don’t think so as the the CS logo on the back of the headstock is untouched
  8. Thank you! Breaks my heart to sell it, but needs must
  9. We had a great venue we played about 3 times a year and we'd always drag a good few with us to pack out the place. Always a buoyant, appreciative crowd there with no hint of trouble. Stopped getting asked back when the landlord noticed that, one time, both the drummer and vocalist had smuggled in their own supply of beer and, in the singer's case, his wife's stockpile, too. Three gigs gone tits up, all in aid of saving a few quid at the bar. Terrific. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Me and the guitarist were not happy bunnies.
  10. Rehearsal last night at Pirate in Dalston. Air con was faulty which meant room got up to about 26 degrees, but that's not a huge issue. We tried out a new drummer and she's okay. Lacking in confidence and experience and very chatty, but very very interesting and maybe we can get somehwere. When it locked in there was definitely a bit of power behind the sound. Mostly original songs but a couple of covers. Bit of a boo-boo for the first song. The room had a Blackstar 250w 15" combo and I THOUGHT I'd set all the controls to 12 o clock or off (EQ centred, distortion, compression deactivated etc) but the sound was awful. I was running the Dingwall into it via a Tech 21 VT and had the combo on flat all the way gain and master out but still sounded weak and .... oh. I'd accidentally turned the bass all the way down! The second song was very different! Great! Towards the end I was putting a bit more dirt in for a nasty tune we were working on and OH MY GOD the sound of that bass on the 5th string with the humbucker-type setting and a pick put shivers up my spine then ... the Blackstar just died. No sound. Dead. I think something inside overheated because it came back on after 5 minutes but then shut down again. By that point we were cooked and tired so went off to the pub for a much-needed beer. It was a shame though as I was really getting into the sound!
  11. Imagine you're after a new Jazz bass and you have about £500 to spend. Do you opt for the £489 Squier CV Active 70s - active pickups, nice block inlays, lovely turquoise or mocha colour options; or do you shell out a little more on the £549 Fender Standard - simple classic Jazz spec and colours (blue/black/burst/white), but it has "Fender" on the headstock? Are you likely to feel and hear much of a difference between them (assuming both are set-up well and if you want to get real picky you can fit the same strings)? I guess the active electronics of the Squier will give you more options for sound output, but is it "better"? Or does the enhanced quality of the Fender actually show through? Personally, I'd go for the Squier CV 60s in daphne blue, but that's beside the point.
  12. What @AndyTravis said!
  13. just a small update with my flyrig. temple mods added for dual input, fx loop and DI
  14. Fabulous, & as usual in a different time zone 😭😆
  15. Feel kinda sorry for any bass player who had to let that go to CC.....
  16. Settling with my Anagram and found a NAM profile(Tech21 Red Ripper) that can do something similar so this one must go. Listing it at £400. Bought from the US including postage and customs. Paid more than my selling price. Only thing missing is the pink paper packaging wrap, won’t affect the tone though 😂 Any questions, feel free to message me. Chad
  17. For many years I was a long term user of Guitar Tapp Pro on Android. It's been all I needed when playing in 4 different bands, easy to share and simple to create and edit set lists. It's now been upgraded and replaced by Chords.wiki and is faster, more flexible and easy to use. As it's an App you can use it across your, phone, tablet or laptop and it automatically sync's up from the cloud. Sharing set lists between band members is breeze. Only downside is the annual subscription.
  18. I'm sure they still tried to offer the previous owner £50 for it though.
  19. It wasn't a background / restaurant gig. It was a rock venue.
  20. Replacement Rock/Metal guitarist wanted for Dio’s Purple tribute band. Set ready, gigs pending Warrington based 🤘
  21. Nice, but not really all that much use to me.
  22. Not to mention their X Air series mixers have become the go-to solution for many gigging bands on the pub and corporate circuit.
  23. Shipping should be possible as I'm getting a new cab in a couple of weeks so I can recycle the packaging from that.
