This, except mine is more instruments that don’t get used get sold. My Rob Allen is currently very much underused and is looking shaky in terms of its residency at chez Ez. My only gig these days doesn’t really call for a number of my basses, but I still take out my custom Maruszczyk as my number one.

Selling my SVT-CL, glorious sounding amp but I haven't needed to use it much over the past year. All works flawlessly and come with a cover (has a lot of marks on it) This has a few knock marks which I've tried to show in the pictures but nothing that affects performance. it is nearly 20 years old. This is a US Built one and the serial number puts it at Feb 2007 which would make it one of the last ones built in the US before manufacturing moved. Collection only as this is a heavy bit of iron with valves! Collection from Sandy, Bedfordshire. £850

Appreciate this. As I was going to work around Camden I went to the bass gallery today. Tried the three cabs with time hammer. Trace Elliot 110, ampeg 112 and Aguilar sL112. Didn’t really like the trace Elliot. Ampeg was ok. Aguilar was very nice. Very mid focused. Warm and articulate. To big and rather pricey for home use if you ask me.

Thanks folks, the first thing I did was to apologise and offer to sort out the issue for free including picking the bass up the same day the buyer messaged me about the fret issue and them collecting the next day when it was sorted. I suspect the offending fret just needs a tap down and/or spot fret level and dress. I genuinely believe that this is a fair starting point before a refund is discussed. Again this is just about me trying to find my way on my bass building journey whilst being open, honest and ethical about my abilities and the level of my builds as I start out……

Yes, whether I'm carrying a couple of grands worth of Fender Jazz or a now irreplaceable Status, I always use them, no matter what the venue. Otherwise there would be no point owning them. As much as I'd like to save some of them for 'best', they're working tools at the end of the day. I do, however never let them out of my sight at some venues.
-
Yes. usually when I can use my own rig or when it's a venue where i know the sound is going to be great.
-
Depends on the venue

💯 God knows why it's labeled as "Artic white" I would have expected it to be brilliant white (glad it's not mind)

I have to echo many of @Mark S comments. I, too, had one of these and like Mark was surprised by the versatility and the sound quality of this bass. Do NOT underestimate these...you get REAL bass tones in a compact form. Like Mark, I also have a Jabba short scale but I'd encourage anybody that hasn't tried one of these to do so at the earliest opportunity. GLWTS -

They come up for sale on sites like ebay occasionally...at 4.49 (£s or $s) its a good buy...You might get more info from the Charrington Bass Museum.

@Chienmortbb Ok a bit more info. The faulty switch does seem to make a click sound as per the other functioning pair. When turning the unit on, S1 is lit up and active automatically. It DOESN’T disengage when clicking it. If you click one of the others, they go active. If you then go back and click on S1 nothing happens. Hope that makes sense.

While it's good to hear that they are honouring obligations from before the bankruptcy, I'm a little miffed (with them, not you!) that you got sorted out for an issue from February, but I've heard nothing yet about my back order from September last year

250??? 250 !!! That is a score and a half! Looks to be american made, The R logo and serial would put it in the 80's for certain. All the switching options and knob design all point to the USA as well. I would put the pictures and details onto the BC rich Junkies page on facebook. There are people on there that could tell you what the builder's wife's cat was doing at 7 minutes past 3 there Thank you for sharing dude!! I look forward to seeing it on FB

They are still there, and have scaled back to concentrate solely on drums and percussion. Part of the former shop space has now gone over to the above mentioned Hippo Guitars. I didn’t know you had a Derby connection, Stub.
