  2. Just scanning over a limited discography of her work, it's phenomenal. She has been overlooked for far too long.
  3. Every 1's A Winner - Hot Chocolate
  4. So for some songs the click is just for setting the tempo and nothing else. Do these songs always have the same structure and length? If not that will lead to synchronisation issues with the video. If you are only playing places with in-house PA and lights then you'll find that most of the venues that could support video projection will already have some sort of system installed that is appropriate for the size of the venue. You may find that some of the older set-ups will result in people on stage casting shows and obscuring parts of the screen, and you'll have to decide if this is an acceptable compromise for your performance or if at those venues you would be better off with no back projections. Unless you can find someone to produce all the imagery and videos it's probably going to take several months to implement, so I'd start by asking all the venues that you are playing in the meantime how their projection system works and what inputs are available and what formats they support. That will give you an idea on how to proceed. You could test the water by getting the venues to project your band logo while you play. We have one that is included in our technical rider in various formats, and if it gets lost, our singer has copies on his phone that can be emailed, texted or AirDropped to the lighting engineer while we are setting up. Here's a couple of shots of my band with our logo projected onto a screen behind us. This first one is from a fairly small venue and as you can see we are obscuring part of the screen and projection: Of course that's not a problem if you play somewhere big:
  5. The Best - Tina Turner
  6. I think I’ve seen a thread about “Aion’s non working mid control” on talkbass refer to this thread. a good case study for how a post asking a question becomes an internet “fact”! Apparently the Aion kit is like the real thing and matches the original schematic, apparently it works and sounds good - so if you want the Traynor sound crack on and get building. if you want to start modding the circuit and changing the tone stack like Bremen is suggesting… it’s DIY so try it out and enjoy yourself…
  7. Nobody Does It Better - Carly Simon
  8. I’m left handed! I play air bass left handed but actual bass right handed. I wouldn’t know where to start with a left handed bass!
  9. Zoom BTA-1 Bluetooth adapter to connect your multi effects to the Zoom Guitar Lab software. Unused, unopened and no longer required.
  10. Fantastic 😍
  11. Up for sale is my musicman stingray. Originally a burgundy colour that was then sprayed orange, so i had the bass professionally stripped and refinished in clear satin. beautiful ash body. The original neck has been completely refinished, fret board cleaned and refretted, the headstock has a new coat of clear coat. The rear of the neck has been left as natural wood as i don't like sticky necks, the neck is now unbelievably fast playing. Electronics were tested and cleaned. All original hardware. I have a gig bag and cardboard box, so it can be posted, I think fully insured would be about £30.

  12. Yes indeed. There's currently on Ebay right now a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass V with a John East preamp modification,SD Apollo pickups and a Schaller bridge and the bidding starts at £771. I'd love to know the final price if it sells.
  13. These are awesome cabs, I’ve got a couple of the 8ohm versions, been using them for a good 5 years and they’ve never let me down. GLWTS
  14. (Thought this was an amp as well so listed it here!) This is a new, sealed and never used Bose S1+ Pro speaker. This was purchased by my business from Thomann before Christmas (you can see the slip case on the top!) This is the one with the built in rechargeable battery. It was bought for some events that never happened, and as a result remains completely sealed and brand new. Can’t return it as it’s been too long. Looking for £500 collected or can send for £15 with full insurance (and another box, obviously!)
  15. I pulled this as the new price has dropped below £500 now. However, on reflection I think £600 for the amp in mint condition, plus the bluetooth adapter, footswitch and carry bag is still a good deal, so it's back up again.

  17. There's Nothing Better Than Love - Luther Vandross
  18. Finally! I mean all she had to do is record over 9000 songs perfectly, through multiple decades! 😁 Like one does.
  19. My 5yo has a cheapo uke she gets out every now and then, and I also share my u-bass with her. At this age she doesn't really care about fretting, but the right hand rhythm is already starting to show as she's trying to mimic the music. I guess it builds a foundation!
  20. Rehearsed it again last night, set of La Bella Deep Talkers, action raised a little and PUP lowered and it was glorious (although PUP is slightly noisy I guess that goes with the SC territory). An advantage of the madly long neck is that I found I can use the very end of it as a thumb rest, and in doing so can play right over the PUP which is my preferred style, so that problem might be solved 👍
  21. My favourite is the Mutations album - the album between albums (odelay - MNV) that his record company let him release as not the official follow-up to Odelay because it wasn't commercial enough but he was writing so much stuff. Here's some Diamond Boll**ks for your shell-like...
  22. Perfect - Fairground Attraction
