  1. Past hour
  2. Are they though? Ian isn't on the spector featured artists lists (I notice that guy pratt is, and I have only seen him once play a spector, its normally his pink fender). Scott has a signature overwater. Also both of them are already working for his company and it is quite clear they are working for that.
  3. Bringing the tone down: I did a charity fundraiser with Bandwidth (covers and originals) for the Felbeck Trust at Cley Village Hall last night. It was a ticketed affair with a meal between sets (veggie and gluten free), with a few over 70 there despite the filthy weather. The meal was delicious in fact and we were provided with free drinks. The stage could have been excellent, if it wasn’t for the hundred or so chairs stacked at the back, which meant we were very cramped. It also looked a mess with the curtain tucked into the chairs. Anyway we played 2 x 1:15 sets and got plenty of dancers in the second set. I was really struggling, as I was diagnosed with a chest infection an hour before set up and had just started on antibiotics. I’m not sure how I managed to drive home. Gear was Guild Starfire 1 and custom P/J shorty into Blackstar U700 (via Peterson Strobostomp) and 2 LFSys Monza. DI to the desk. U700 master literally on just over 1, so two Monzas was complete overkill. I should just have connected the top one, as I don’t think the amp was working hard enough. We got loads of good feedback and possibly some follow on gigs🤞. Not a great pic and yes,mChris has to sit through gigs these days. We’re a poor old bunch🫤
  4. Recently one of my GBS Bass Masters members shared a live version of Tina Turner's, 'River Deep Mountain High,' and we worked through the bass line in a lesson so he could prepare it for a gig. I was reminded just how great this Tina Turner classic is. I used to play this song frequently at gigs and it's really high energy and fun to play. Warren McRae's bass line on this live version is grooving and also very easy to hear in the mix. My latest YouTube lesson features this bass line, so check it out if you want to learn a classic and have something fun to play. You can also grab a free copy of my bass line transcription in Tab and notation in the video description. Enjoy!
  5. Price drop
  6. Behringer Bass Chorus or Ultra Bass Chorus
  7. Now sold (on Facebook though)
  8. I have two used Spector USA bass bridges that once belonged to NS2 basses I no longer own, I had taken these off in favour of black hardware. One is the heavy all-brass version, this has faded somewhat on the bass side. I’m not sure if this could be polished up. The other is the lighter, aluminium version, this one in better condition. It is considerably lighter. Note: these will not drop into a Euro bass without some re-routing to enlarge the space slightly. £150 for each bridge or £285 for the pair. Price includes UK shipping.

  9. Yes, it’s really sweet. This was a collaboration with Christopher Venter of Shoe Pedals I’d keep it if I could, but option paralysis and mounting bills whilst still not having a job says otherwise.
  10. I Wanna Be Your Dog - The Stooges
  11. This is a great pedal and nice deal for an analog pre with DI and headphone out. SA should do more analog pedals
  12. Could really do with passing this on as I just forked out for a Bassrig Fifteen and need to recoup some funds. Ironically out of all my preamps, this is the one that works best with my maple/rounds P but I can’t afford to keep everything and I mostly play the one with flats.
  13. Yes, just bought the Ultimate Accelerator Pack for Black Friday so will be playing catch up on this one first. Im going to be strict and not flip flop between courses. I think all the courses SBL run are pretty well thought out and delivered tbh. Plus any excuse to actually practice 'other stuff and styles' is more than welcomed! I agree theres a lot of free stuff out there, I just CBA to look for the right one when they seem to have the formula pretty dialled in.
  14. Today
  15. Some more photos of this lovely little U-bass, which I can't believe hasn't sold!
  16. Dan and EZ, I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experience. Thanks.
  17. Great, that’s the scenario I’m seeking. Do the two facing upwards help hear the bass, especially on a small stage, where you might have to stand right in front of and close to the rig.
  18. Literally, by the sound of it...
  19. Dogs of War - Pink Floyd
  20. Good, I’m looking at up to 12 of them and up to 500w….enough to feel it at small gigs?
  21. “Now” - Paul Rodgers. Jaz Lochrie fills the low end with some great fretless playing. Rogers’ backing band on this album is particularly tight.
  22. Hi, how much is delivery and did you buy this from new?
  23. Really good basses - GLWTS
  24. really interested in this ill message u
  25. Great basses these, I’ve got the same and stupidly sold a sonic blue one as well. someone buy it
  26. My 10 do the job for me, although 2 are upwards firing.
  27. I don't have a digital caliper to measure it with such exact precision. But I imagine those specifications can be found on the Fodera website.
