  2. For sale a Luthhier made 5 string slab jazz bass body with nice Maple top. Vol/vol/tone electrics and knobs are included. Its is on the heavy side weighing in at 3kg and I'm not sure of the actual main body wood sorry. There are a few small blemishes on the rear (see pics ) but the front is fine. Pocket dimensions in pictures Any questions fire away. UK postage included.
  3. Politics, football and personal relationships (wife / partner) should be kept out of bands at all costs. There are plenty of other stupid and ridiculous stuff we can talk about. We are very lucky that we have an ex marine on guitar and his stories keep us amused at every gig when getting dressed for the show. Some of the things those guys got up to are quite simply outrageous and ridiculous whether it was serious or just for fun amongst themselves. Don't think we have any fanatical footballing fans in the band. We do talk about motorbike racing as guitarist and myself are into bikes. We do talk s***e about guitars a lot of the time tho. 😂 Dave
  4. Jungle Gardenia - Mike Oldfield
  5. Jungle Boogie - Kool and The Gang
  6. Looking good there Lozz. Dave
  7. Best wishes matey.
  8. 2x Behringer Ultra DI boxes, these have never been used, bought to expand gear but moved on to summat else. I can't say new but never used should give you a clue. £10 each + £1 towards postage. Thet are 17 quid new so bit of a bargain.
  9. I'm not 100% physically. The infection took a lot out of me but I;m slowly building strength back up. It'll be a few more weeks before I'm 100% physically. Thanks Rob
  10. There's a 2005 example on here for £1,500 so fair price indeed.
  11. Barefaced One Ten Cab 200 watt 8 ohms. Excellent condition with the usual tolex lift at the back. A nice loud little cab, very light and perfect for small gigs and rehearsals. Pickup preferred but I could post at buyer’s cost in the UK.

  12. Greatest speaker to improve any TC Electronic with 8 inches speakers. GLWYS.
  13. Wish I am at an closer area...would be a great pair for my 550
  14. A rather big decision this one! Purchased in June 2023 in a private sale. I am not sure how long previous owner had the bass but there is a receipt from the owner before which shows they purchased it in 2000. That is as far as my ownership knowledge goes for the bass. It is all original apart from a refret which I had done earlier this year at the Vintage Instrument Workshop underneath No. Tom on Denmark Street. I believe the weight is somewhere around 3.8-3.9kg - I don't currently have a set of reliable scales, in any case it's a really nice lightweight bass. As you would hope and expect from a 60's P bass, it sounds great! I personally think the wear is exactly how you would want it, enough to show it's lived a life but nothing too detrimental to the overall look of the bass. I am selling because the playability is not as I would like it. The neck has a slight warp which has the effect of some of the higher frets buzzing excessively. Also, the truss rod screw is quite worn from over tightening. I have tried to be as helpful as possible in demonstrating this in the video attached - bear in mind it currently as a pretty fresh set of roundwound strings on - not sure what they are exactly, just an old set I had lying around - would put some Rotosounds on probably but had none lying around! It still functions excellently as a workhorse/groove/session bass as a jazz player primarily I am really looking to prioritise playability and I have found that I increasingly choose to play my Custom Shop jazz bass because the playability is so good. I believe the case to be a replica. The photos of the bass where it has been taken apart were done by the person from who I brought the bass, who is a luthier. VIDEO LINK:

  15. It's entirely possible... Algorithms and 3D Printing Can Be Used to Create Realistic Nasal Prostheses
  16. If your 89 SR4 has a birdseye maple neck, they're fairly sought after due to coming from a time when EB was trying to re-establish the brand and when they weren't being charged any more for figured maple neck blanks compared to plain maple. Not sure if that helps you reach a decision one way or the other but it comes from a good period...unlike the pre-sale-to-EB early 80's rays which were a bit of a crap shoot for body woods.
  17. Haha, editing error! the singer had a sure wireless system for his sax, which always clicks and pops. After the last gig he gave it to a sound engineering guy to see what was wrong with it but forgot to pick it up so he had to use a sax mic on a stand!
  18. A few photos of the actual bass. This one weighs just 6.7lbs! My other one feels like it's made of lead in comparison weighing in at 8.2lbs 😂.
  19. I expect Rob fixed the hospital error with a new nose - made by 3D printing cartilage 😉
  20. I hope your hooter's healing well. Good work!
  21. Basschat first got interested in these over 10 years ago - I blame @Clarky It was that thread that led to me ordering a matching Crazy 88 from Guy Trigg (who seems to be no longer a Member here): https://www.facebook.com/trickyaudio/?locale=en_GB He was/is building them under licence from Greenboy in the USA: https://www.greenboy.us/ https://www.greenboy.us/cabs/view.php?model=Crazy88 Just to confirm those dimensions in metric: H 57cm x W 27cm x D 35cm, Weight 12.5Kg The cab is 4 Ohms.
  22. This cab isn't just for DB but it's enough of a boutique DB item that it's worth posting the link to the sale thread here too.
  23. Gregor form BassTheWorld is a big fan!
  24. Trying to wean myself off preamps for use at doubling gigs, so I'm listing a couple today. First up is this one: https://www.bassgearmag.com/radial-tonebone-bassbone-v2-pedal/ Famously built like a tank, it's a classic Swiss Army Knife of a pedal which does pretty much everything you're likely to need at a gig. The tone-sculpting allows either seamless switching between DB and electric or two different tones from a single bass, it has no problems handling piezo pickups, it's a great DI box, etc. etc. etc. Original power supply but - to my annoyance - I can't find the original packaging, even though I'm sure that I have it somewhere. 🙁 Condition is flawless & functional, very nearly pristine. That's why it's "very nearly" pristine ... four little patches of removable velcro on the bottom. Apart from that velcro, it's perfect. Everything works exactly as it should.
