Behringer XTouch universal control surface for sale. Motorised faders, LCD scribble strips - ideal for use with a laptop if you have Behringer XR18/X32R etc. I've used this successfully with Reaper, Logic Pro and my old XR18 mixer. It's just not being used now as I tend to do everything on the laptop and for mastering/editing I have a Presonus Faderport. £230 posted? (Sorry about poor pics - it's not as filthy as it looks!)

For sale, my Radial Tonebone Bassbone OD preamp pedal. A two-channel bass preamp with HPF, piezo input for double bass, DI out and switchable overdrive. A great pedal, I used it for years to double on electric and DB. Made it really easy with the dual EQ, switchable HPF, boosted input for the DB and tuner out. I've gone to more separated signal paths now (still via a Radial I/O!) so this is just sitting around not doing anything. Comes with original box, papers, and PSU. NOTE THAT THIS USES A 15v CENTRE POSITIVE PSU so you need the proper power supply or one that can feed it the correct polarity supply. A 'normal' Boss-style PSU won't work and will fry the pedal (as I found out with another one of these - this is the replacement one I bought). Recently PAT-tested too. Has Dual-lock on the bottom. These are now RRP £439! £260 posted.

Not sure how to price this, but here goes: I have a Sushi Box Finally V3 DI for sale. The snag - it is slightly defective. I ordered this on 5 February 2025 and paid about £220 or so (US$275). It arrived a few weeks later and I paid £50.26 in import duty and VAT etc to Mr Royal Mail. https://www.sushiboxfx.com/product/finally-v3/ It sounds amazing, does exactly what I wanted it to do. It gives a lovely warm fatness to the tone - since I started using it, I've had a lot of compliments from non-bassists about the sound. It is a tube DI using a 12AU7 valve, and includes a variable switchable HPF from 30 - 120Hz. There is an issue with the HPF circuit on this particular pedal, which means when it's in use, it becomes microphonic, in the same way a defective valve does. At first I thought it was the valve, but after testing it became clear it was an issue with the HPF. That meant it didn't work for me, as I had it on a board because I need to do lots of effects and input changing, and every time I pressed anything on the board, it thumped through the amp etc. However, if you're using it in a situation where it's not on a pedalboard, or it's an 'always on' pedal sat on your amp , or in the studio, you won't notice it. You can also switch off the HPF, and use it just as a valve DI. It's possible to switch out the valve for a more aggressive one, giving you saturated overdrive tones if wanted. So - it works, it's just a bit noisy if you touch the chassis when the HPF is engaged. I've had a warranty replacement that works. Has Dual-lock on the bottom. I'll start at £250 posted but happy to listen to offers.

Likes a Nice bit of plain ash. Thinking of giving the SR600 a rubdown As for the neck... I don't mind pale maple necks, and quite like pale rose wood. Roasted Maple can look nice and can be kept unfinished ish, rather than going for a tint. Flame necks look a bit, well, OTT especially with a plainer grain of ash. Black Pearl, nice.

There's only one case where that makes sense, that's when you have a 2x that's 8 ohms and a 4x that's 4 ohms, with all six drivers being identical, and the amp is rated for 2 ohm operation. Otherwise go with the one cab that gives the better results.

Always more productive with the rest of the band present 😁 -
This completely changed my views on what it is that makes a bass great. These were originally cheap by design, Nathan Daniel cut every corner he could dream of to keep the cost down. And yet was determined to create an instrument for students , and beginners that was playable. And he did just that. Longhorns weigh next to nothing , but don’t think the lack of weight makes them flimsy , they’re tough as nails. They sound great , in good hands can be simply amazing. And they’re really fun to play. Dano aficionados say the early reissues from the Shinko Factory in Korea are the best of the lot. With fresh rounds they can have that zing you might get with a baritone guitar or a Bass VI , with flats or older rounds they are simply great thump machines.

Sambrook started following Harley Benton Baritone

30" scale baritone from Harley Benton, in excellent condition. Poplar body, maple neck, purpleheart fingerboard. Passive, 2 P90 pickups (I think...?), vol/tone, pickup selector. Medium weight and nicely balanced. I've had this a couple of years, from Facebook marketplace. The seller had put fancy strings on, but the name didn't stick in my mind. They certainly sound and feel like quality. Tuned A to A at the moment, with no rattles. This plus the low action makes for a very good playing 'experience'. Good clear and warm tone from the neck pickup, strong and well defined from the bridge (great with distortion). I really rate Harley Benton, and this is a good example. Just bought an HB guitar, so this has to go.

Intonation set up on Cort B5 Element
PaulThePlug replied to neil___lien's topic in Repairs and Technical
Raise the action a smidge... be more right up the dusty end... From 'read somewhere', intonation set at harmonic and On Top 12th fret... or fretting the string behind the fret, but now down to the fretboard... They might be squeezing the last bit of bass-juice out the string! Then all playing is subject to being a non tru temperament, compound error, calculated-ish made with a tolerance analogue instrument. Otherwise everyone would be playing bass lines on synth! -
They just don't make 'em like this anymore......

Finally got round to plugging it in. Total silence. Twiddle the knobs, nothing, then I remember about the mute switch on my John East equipped Sei Jazz and switched the bottom switch - sound! The other two switches are parallel-series-single coil switches for the two pickups. Knobs are volume, blend, stacked treble/bass, stacked mid-sweep and boost/cut, and a pull for passive control that is also the passive treble cut control. A real variety of sounds available, and I may even be tempted to use the passive option on occasion. Despite the close pickup spacing, there's a fair difference between the tones on each of them (rather like the Warwick Thumb 5 with its two closely spaced J pickups). The treble and bass controls give a very powerful boost and cut but it's nicely progressive rather than all or nothing.

deadbabies started following Strap made from soft material...
-
Hi so I have a strap that came with a used bass i bought, see photo its a levys strap and is a nice soft material. I can't see any online that looks like this, it has the extra long leather bit at one end. The strap is great but my OCD doesn't like the design 😕 I purchased plain black fender strap but it's a horrible scratchy material... can anyone recommend a brand that has the same soft material as the one in the photo. Are all levys new designs made in the same material? Ta
