  2. Could only find these photos of his parents.
  3. £10- not very micro!
  4. I bought Ben’s compressor. Great pedal as advertised and really easy to deal with. Do not hesitate to, he’s a top bloke! Thanks, Jim
  5. Well, I've kept it for 30 years so far just because I like it! But realistically I am not going to play it - I'm primarily piano/keys and I didn't like that trying to play it toughened up my finger pads. So bar me having about 3 or 4 short sessions with it, it's never been played except by the previous owner, but by the looks of things they played it about the same amount that I did. So cosmetic dings yes and I put all of those in the original photos, but doesn't look to have play wear really. I could only find one previously sold and it was a different colour, if you do come across any examples I would love to see them. That info is all really interesting, thank you! And this is clearly where I screwed up initially, I had known Squier was a budget brand so assumed there was not much second hand value in the one I had. Just had a measure and it is the 32" version. I'm not in a rush to do anything with it now I know this, so will just see what else I can find out and have a think. And I do play the keys less nowadays so maybe it is time for another go! Really appreciate the advice, thanks again!
  6. He said on IG in the comments of the post announcing this that he’s aiming for a price point of about $400usd - I don’t think that’s really too bad for what it is and when you look at the price of a Finally v3 & Single slice comp new
  7. Here's mine as I left it last night before hitting the sack. I do try to keep the desktop clear but small objects gradually accumulate, either because I haven't found a home for them yet or because I haven't got round to restoring them to said home. On this occasion I stayed up re-doing the cabling on the smaller (direct-to-PA) board, which involved swapping a cable from the larger board. They are both for skinny-string guitar btw.
  8. Sorry no. I went over to using a controller last year, hence me not needing the Roland anymore, but have since gone back to my MODX7+, which has more keys. I have no need of any more keyboards.
  9. I am selling my Warwick Thumb NT from 1989. This is the fourth Thumb I own, as it took me a while to settle on an early 4-strings NT with 3 bands eq. Unfortunately I had surgery to my left shoulder and the ergonomics of the bass (long reach to 1st fret) really don’t work anymore for me. Body is bubinga, neck laminated wenge/bubinga, EMG pickups, 3-band MEC electronics, black Schaller hardware. The bass comes with its Rockbass gigbag. I don’t have the exact weight (can check) but it’s definitely heavy! Located in Paris, but also available for sale in London. EU shipping possible at buyer’s risk, no UK shipping. Priced at 2200 EUR / 2000 GBP any questions, please let me know!

  10. And can't be doing with Fender basses either... Only ever played one I liked, which was a very expensive masterbuilt custom shop Jazz. And I didn't like that anywhere near as much as my ACG at 1/4 of the price!
  11. I can lend you a butter knife and you could go at it like Jaco, if you like.
  12. it's ok.are you interested to exchange with Roland xps 10?
  13. Are they still in business? They seem to come and go, moving production around. Wasn’t it meant to be coming back to the UK? Perhaps that is why there is a 12 week delivery time. I imagine that is going to be quite heavy given the neck through design but always good to have another medium scale on the block. This one is serious money though, so I would definitely want to try it before buying.
  14. Kool.. I swaped also valve inside my Rode K2, with NOS Telefunken and there was an audiable difference. Warmer sound and better lows.
  15. I have struggled over the years with various RSI-type problems, particularly tendinitis in my forearms. Going to the doctor was no help at all - they simply said to rest the affected area, which, when it's your arms and hands, is unhelpful. I've found this book to be very helpful with exercises to relieve the inflammation short term but also helping to prevent injury by helping you to develop mobility and resilience in the relevant areas. https://amzn.eu/d/3B1NHtE
  16. Northwest Guitars have Korean made P Bass guards which fit without having to re-drill, I have one on a Fender Player P and a Squier CV P.
  17. Next up is a Squier Affinity Jaguar H Bass in Charcoal frost. I was attempting to create a medium scale Stingray on a budget with this - which I think I achieved, It certainly sounds like one. Mods - Aguilar AG-4M Alnico V pickup, Retrovibe Stinger '77 pre amp, Fender Hi-mass bridge, battery compartment, new control plate and knurled knobs. I have all the original parts so am happy to put I back to fully stock (although it will still have the rout and battery compartment installed) Or sell it with all the mods. Its barely been used so is in nice condition although it does have a slight bit of discoloration on the back of the neck = See pics. Modded price - £250 Stock Price - £120 Very happy to demo here in London N21 Collection only at this stage, I may change my mind?
  18. For sale is the Microtubes B7K Ultra V2 which has the AUX input as well. Great sounding pedal with amazing ability to sculp both the tone on the preamp side and the distortion on the drive side of the pedal. There is some very impressive sounds that can be had out of this pedal. The pedal comes with the original box and all the goodies that came with it. I bought this pedal 3-4 years ago but the sound is a bit too much for the bands I am in. I was always hoping to use it but it has literally sat in the box the whole time. I had thought I might use it also as an emergency DI for gigs but I have never needed it. I would be really interested in trades for Iron Ether Nimbus and/or Polytope because the funds coming from this will go towards those pedals. If I was playing heavier music this pedal would absolutly be staying. £270, £260 including postage. Bank transfer or PayPal F&F.
  19. Here's mine showing the song that I am currently working on: This workspace is shared with my day job where I do graphic design for packaging hence the rather tidy nature of everything. Most of my programming is done with the mouse and QWERTY keyboard and the guitars, basses and controller keyboards normally only come out when I am actually doing recording for the purposes of making something for release to the public.
  20. I’m gonna stick with putting my money into UK music shops as far as I can.
  21. I know, it was funny and I won’t admit to them that it actually did help me!
  22. Check AliExpress for 13 hole pickguards, some funky colours, swirls and pearls, and maybe hardware, Gyker etc.
  23. Up for grabs is an early 90's Steinberger Spirit XZ-2. This is the Korean made version, passive with wooden body. I used it as a full scale travel bass as it fit in a guitar gig bag and it is really nice and light. I've just given it a fresh set of double ball end strings and its all good to go. Some minor dinks on the body and some discoloration on the back of the working end of the neck - see pics, but otherwise stock. Very happy for demos here in London N21 - Winchmore Hill. Collection only at this stage, but I may change my mind,

Hmm. It's not going will with my GuitarGuitar order. Two days after placing the order for next day delivery and it's still showing as 'pending' on their website. It feels like I've been the victim of sharp practice. I've messaged them asking for an update so let's see what they say.
  25. Lovely bass and a total bargain these days! Yes, I think black hardware would suit it very well. The picture they did for you was very funny! 🤣
  26. Today
  27. Here is my music place, with my desk, sorry for the mess... 🤪😂
