  1. Past hour
  2. Lots of £££ You’d hope it’s enigmatic for the money.
  3. Cheers. I’m just not too familiar with Spector and what stock is.
  4. Congrats! The AGs are fantastic basses for the dough.
  5. Train Of Consequences - Megadeth
  6. Loco in Acapulco - The Four Tops
  7. If you're playing through IEM's which are basically glorified hearing aids and there is no stage amp, the amp and instrument no longer hear or respond together. This may not be as big of an issue with bass vs lead guitar where sustain is more important but it is a compromise. The problem with bass and IEM's is that unless your IEM's isolate you from the PA's low end, it will become hard to hear yourself which will cause you to turn up your IEM's which defeats the purpose from a hearing protection aspect. IEM's can just as easily damage your hearing as well as protect it. I've played in situations with IEM's or headphones with real amps in isolation as well as modelers and the difference is negligible. In a recording studio setting it's not much of an issue but in a live performance with players adjusting their volumes as well as the adjustments to the PA it can be a real challenge. Do they have decibel limits at live venues in the UK? Is that where much of this is coming from?
  8. Spotify for me because of its excellent Amazon Echo integration, that means I can completely control it from the phone app. But I've also recently enjoyed a few other features that I didn't know about—Spotify Jam and Spotify DJ. One lets you and your friends add songs to a queue if you're on the same network (usefully, it integrates with the TV app, too). The latter is pure witchcraft—a personalised radio station of the type of music I listen to with a realistic-sounding DJ cutting in every now and then to tell me what I've just heard or what's coming up next. For my own music collection, I use the little-known iTunes Match service. £21.99 a year to sync my curated and fairly extensive iTunes collection (including ripped CDs). A lot less than paying for Apple Music.
  9. Mick is an absolute gent, with great communication and clearly loves and looks after his gear. He provided detailed info about the bass before our sale, and we had a great meet up half way for the exchange and a chat. He even brought another incredible bass for me to have a play of! Trade with confidence! Thanks again mate.
  10. I use Spotify. Mainly for listening to podcasts. It also lets you add your own audio files. Which I'm not sure people are aware of, so I have a load of playlists created from recordings I've made on my phone from rehearsals.
  11. Thanks all. I think the conclusion is to bite the bullet and put in the miles so that is what I shall do!
  12. Steam(ed) - Peter Gabriel
  13. All stock. I'll post the detail specs shortly.
  14. Now on reverb if anyone wants to pay a little more for it https://reverb.com/item/86557719-music-man-reflex-gamechanger-approx-2015-blackj
  15. Nice, GLWTS!
  16. Pedal bought from Ashdown as I love their signature range - and It's Guy Pratt - who doesn't like guy Pratt ?? But apart from testing it it has sat unused in it's box. So lets find it a great home. Comes with all the "case candy" including the unused rubber feet. Note that it requires a good quality 18v power supply.
  17. That's a signature pedal and the artist would have to request a change. Even at that, we would have to lose the tuner due to the current limitations of phantom power. Personally I'd just add an inexpensive DI box. If you want something similar, the VT Bass DI would be closest but it depends how you dial it in.
  18. Pudding on the Style - Lonnie Donegan
  19. Well, that'll explain the "not even close" comment I think these ones look pretty similar to my untrained eye. Bit of a square pin in a round hole situation, being that they're press fit and the Glockenklang pots are solid shaft, but I'll see what I can come up with...
  20. Looking to sell my 2011 MK Signature Deluxe Balance K. Mahogany body with cocobolo facings. Excellent condition, based near Chester UK. £6700. Any questions just ask. Cheers, Mike. Screen_Recording_20250423_110057_Facebook.mp4

  21. You don’t need to really - or at least it would be a lot of work for little real gain given that to manage output you can balance the G/D and A/E poles with PUP height, and in doing so some of the tone imbalance would at the same time be resolved (and of course by swapping PUP arrangement you’d probably introduce different tone issues) 👍
  22. All of mine have had chromed, knurled, dome-top knobs in some sort of metal. I've never had/played one with tapered plastic knobs.
  23. Today
  24. trapped under rice - metallica
  25. I'm maybe being silly here - do the OG knobs not look like this? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick completely? Have I gone snowblind by looking at many pictures?
