A quick question, if I may. I have a set of KZ ZS10 in ears which struggle to reproduce the low notes on my 5-string bass. So, I have decided to upgrade to a better set. I was loaned a pair of Shure wired earbuds, with disposable memory foam tips, and plugged into a Sennheiser wireless unit. I really liked them - great sound, good fit. I asked band leader what they were - "Shure AONIC 215 Wired Sound Isolating Earbuds Wired", from this link. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08H5TK1H5?ref=cm_sw_r_cso_wa_apin_dp_0ZYQ4WXJCTBJ8960P2V7&ref_=cm_sw_r_cso_wa_apin_dp_0ZYQ4WXJCTBJ8960P2V7&social_share=cm_sw_r_cso_wa_apin_dp_0ZYQ4WXJCTBJ8960P2V7&th=1 However, there also seems to be a Shure 215 Wired Sound Isolating Earbuds Wired - without the AONIC. The difference seems to be that the AONIC has a microphone built into the cable, which I wont need for monitoring. So, am I looking for the non-AONIC like these? https://www.gear4music.com/Headphones/Shure-SE215-Sound-Isolating-Earphones-with-RMCE-UNI-Cable-Purple/51TW - purple for £77 https://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/Shure-SE215-Sound-Isolation-Earphones-Black/UDQ - Black for £105 And why are they priced differently?! Can anyone advise on what I should be looking for, and where best to buy them? Robert

Yep, and Glen Matlock isn’t exactly a slouch when it comes to bass so it shows those lines are well crafted and more intricate than would be expected.

This ^ I get emails purporting to be from Reverb, and they are just scams. You should only communicate on Reverb using their own messaging system. I have used their chat system though, to talk to Reverb admins, and that's usually a real person. Try that and verify what you're being told is genuine.

Just found a deadspot on my Dingwall. I am annoyed.

I mean, I've tried putting a small woodworing clamp on the headstock and that makes the issue almost unnoticable so I may just get a headstock tuner as that'd probably do just as well AND be a useful thing at the same time! It's just that the bass has really good balance as it is and looks fabulous so it'd be annoying to add a lot of mass at the end and make it look like an accident. Thanks for the input btw! -

You'll also have to be a 4/4 player, too bad I'm a 9/8 one.

As anyone who saw Glen Matlock playing with Blondie will confirm - he couldn't play the basslines correctly, so don't worry if it's taking a while to crack the intricacies. Some great basslines there!

@scrumpymike Do we have enough advance payment to cover the hall hire yet?

A small but powerful modular system I put together based around a Moog Mother 32 synth and sequencer. I added a Doepfer LFO A145 for increased modulation possibilities. I also added an Erica PICO DSP for onboard effects such as delays, chorus and reverb. There is a Doepfer mixer A138 and Behringer CP1A power supply. The modules are housed in an official Moog 104 HP case with some rack space left for more modules. The unit is unboxed and comes with mains adapter, patch leads as pictured. There is no midi lead included. The units are in very good condition and the Moog unit was recently serviced. The case has a cosmetic scratch at the front as pictured. I can include some extra rack screws. It’s compact but quite heavy as there is a lot packed into a small space! It is a great introduction to modular with plenty of patch options for experimentation. The Mother 32 has an onboard sequencer and small rubber ‘keys’ so it can be used standalone using headphones or an amp. It can be triggered by external midi or cv controllers. Selling as a complete unit. Pickup preferred but I can post UK only at buyer’s cost. It’s worth looking at reviews of each module to get a better perspective of what they can do. I’ll list on here to see if there is any interest before trying the usual….. Now reduced

I love this thing. The only reason I’m listing this is because I’d like to get the newest version. That is a lot more expensive so I need to recoup some funds towards it, otherwise I’d keep this too and use on a second board. In excellent condition, with a few cosmetic marks as pictured. No original box, power supply or MIDI breakout cable though (which is how it came to me). Will of course be packaged securely for postage.

I've read the whole article and it sounds like an audiophile advert, so a lot of bullshīt... According to them a FatFinger will only move the dead spot when their item, which is exactly the same principle, will suppress it: come on... That said Fender's advert comments about their FatFinger (which was not their idea, but they bought the brand) also contain a lot of bullshīt, but at least it's half the price and we know what it really does : it simply adds mass to the headstock, changing the resonance and moving the dead spot to a way less annoying place on the neck. -

Relisting due to financial situation. Not the bass I want to sell most but suffice to say I have enough jazz basses, even if this is jazz software on precision hardware. Made in Korea in the 80s, it's well made and well used. Let me know if you want more pictures. I replaced the pickup covers with cream covers because I like the Tony-Franklin-esque contrast and the originals were in a state. I do not have the thumb rest. Quick edit, photos above don't show this wear:

One of my favourite songs to play is Dreaming. Great bassline and great tone on the original recording
-
Do you mean rather no velocity? i.e. that it’ll respomd exactly the same no matter how hard you play? Yes, but this will likely only be adjustable via the editor. The panel control will unfortunately only allow for one dynamics parameter to be adjusted (without making the interface more complex) and it looks like the breakpoint will be a more useful one to have panel control over.

We started doing Picture this, and yeah, it took me a few goes to get it right. Love playing that song. It seems to jump around a bit, but in a good way. Hanging on the Telephone is another one that we kept getting wrong for quite a while. mainly the singer. It's one of my favs to plat though. We even use a sample of the phone ringing at the start. We already do One way or another, but even with two guitarists we still have to get the keys player (me) to platy the guitar line at the end of the verses. They just can't get it. About to start Call me as well. Looking forward to that. Good luck with the songs, as you say, great fun to play.
