  2. Surely she's a bit too good to be supporting tribute acts.
  3. Sold Graham some strap locks. Superb buyer, instant payment and kept me informed. Deal with complete confidence. 👍
  4. White Line Fever - Motörhead
  5. I had a blue v-amp ii. It was pretty good for its time, but that was 23 years ago. If you can find a psu for well under a tenner (and assuming the unit itself still works) it might be worth a play, but I wouldn't spend more than that to get it working. I recall it has a weird din-style plug on the psu for some unknown reason.
  6. Boss BC-1X Bass Compressor for sale in excellent condition. Velcro on bottom. Only selling as I have too many compressors & also going analog as I use battery power (Volto) under pedalboard, however this multi comp only actually draws 90mA. Great metering & great sound .. but running out of space lol Price includes UK postage.
  7. I stack a 210 traveller vertically on top of my CMD210. Even my bandmates noticed the difference and an improvement in sound at rehearsals.
  8. I agree! Why don't you holiday in lovely Barry Island for a weekend. You could go on the Gavin and Stacey tour too 😁
  9. For sale, a Hipshot Kickass bridge (4 string) in chrome. This has been hanging around in a drawer with lots of other bridges and bits and bobs. It looks new though I suspect it's been fitted previously (but not by me). It comes with the adjustment key, 5 screws and the replacement/extra saddles shown in the image. It's a standard replacement Fender pattern. The bridges sometimes come with a couple of springs but the latter weren't supplied when I bought the bridge. I should be able to ship for around £3.00 in the UK. Any questions please just ask
  10. Cheers. I saw her again later on at the merch stand while I was on my way to the ladies 😄
  11. Thanks Phaedrus, yes I was playing my American Original this afternoon, and it just has the deepest and richest Jazz sound ever. @Silky999's walnut body does look a bit special, doesn't it? It's long been my favorite wood for a bass. Again, the Walnut S2 that I've had for eighteen years just has a sound like nothing else, and that includes my Stealth 2 & KingBass Mk-II.
  12. The capacitor that's leaking would be on your active preamp board, ahead of the putput volume pot. Can you attach a pic of the preamp?
  13. Hi everyone, Up for sale is this SahBro? Brass Section Fuzz. A cool Brassmaster clone in a 1590BB enclosure. It's a nice option if you're looking for that particular kind of fuzz sound, but it's not in a giant enclosure at a larger price. It's got a few dings, but it all works as it should. Here's the reverb shop I got it from: https://reverb.com/uk/item/83850271-sahbro-audio-the-brass-section-brassmaster-clone I'm asking £90 for it. Price includes postage. Below I've attached some quick sound clips too. The signal is a P bass with Chromes, straight into an RNDI. Brass Section Samples.wav Cheers!

  14. Yes, the graphite will give you that 'shimmer' to the attack/sustain, and hopefully the 'PEEK' composite fingerboard will give a very tight sound, much like the percussive 'tonk' you get from an ebony board, or from a phenolic fingerboard.
  15. Also headless I've got the Fender Pure Vintage 64 in a Jazz bass I built and they are my favourite pickups ever. Also worth saying that is an absolutely stunning piece of Walnut!
  16. The problem was that it wasn’t gloss, it was matt, made glossy by playing, which in turn made them sticky. I never regretted stripping mine, it felt and played so much better.
  17. Yes, I've seen a few "shipwrecked" Subs out there. I've only ever owned 2 MM basses; a 5 string Ray for a few weeks and a Sterling (USA) that was lovely but got sold/traded for whatever reason. It could be a future endeavour, who knows what this crazy world of Bass GAS brings 😃
  18. Me, for one. I have been collecting timber and hardware for one of these myself. I'm wondering what strings you will use. 33-35.5in scale length suggests a standard set might fit with the possible exception of the low B.
  19. White Lines - Duran Duran
  20. Ding, ding ding! I've got a Fender version of the Badass bridge, Hipshot ultralights, an OBP-1 and the pickup from the Fender Active Flea already. Will basically be a Fender Flea Active with a graphite neck. Will be interesting to see what the difference is compared to the wooden ones. I don't want to go down the tonewood(or tone-composite) rabbit hole but I have a wooden necked stingray and a graphite necked stingray and IMO it's chalk and cheese! Apart from clearly superior tuning stability (I've got an Emerald Solid Graphite Weave acoustic that I haven't had to tune at all in years) I do think graphite necks clearly change the sound. Would be really interesting in doing a blind A/B and seeing if I could call them correctly.
  21. Evening all, Looking for suggestions and recommendations for a good passive DI box for use with bass - I've looked at the Radial JDI but it seems quite pricey for a simple DI box. Happy to hear any other suggestions and alternatives please. TIA.
  22. Great photo there @DawnPatroller .Better than the blurry one you sent to me and @SteveXFR.
  23. Offers? Trades? Great pedal at what I think is a good price...
  24. Woods chosen were a big slab of flamed ash for the body, flamed maple and ovangkol for the neck (7 piece laminate) and wenge for the fretboard. Usual glue up pics!
  25. Might be quicker to list your irrational likes.
  26. Speed King - Deep Purple
