  3. Trolls be trolling... best response is no response (said the hypocrite...)
  4. Oh, I absolutely didn't mean it like that. Transcribe whatever you feel like transcribing. I like to compare and learn. As you said before "The more the merrier!"
  5. Welcome Tiger. Good luck with your therapy venture. It's a great idea.
  6. I've been using a Lekato WS-70 UHF system for a year and a half now (well, two really, safety net if I forget to charge a set during a double gig weekend as I'm bound to do now and again). They have never let me down, the only time I've ever had dropouts is when I've pushed the range a bit too much (usually because I've gone round a corner on a walkabout or something daft). They're compact, sound good to my cloth ears and I've never felt the need to look around for anything better.
  7. The I-vi-ii-V turnaround is common in the last two bars of a jazz blues but like @peteb says, I don't think it's as common in more standard blues.
  8. Yes you are right. I don't know why these go under the radar to be honest, maybe the cost when new? It's a really good bass and I won't be upset if it doesn't sell.
  9. I was led to believe that the motivation for AI generated songs was to make recommendations to fill up playlists of subscribers with songs that they don't need to pay any royalties at all. If AI generated songs continue to be successful in their own right, then expect to see significant lobbying to allow Spotify et al collect royalties on them!
  10. Welcome FP. One piece of advice whether you intend to learn score or not is that this - - is a treble clef. This - - is a bass clef. (Notes for bass guitar are written on the bass clef but an octave higher than the intended pitch).
  11. I did, Chris, but I forgot! I even commented on it at the time, didn't I? What a prat. The funny thing was, I remember thinking 'I thought I had already done that' but I now realise that I hadn't. You had!! Well that's a few hours of my life I won't get back!! What am I like? I do check your thread every time I see something come in for this very reason. One got through (Seriously, though. If I had remembered, I wouldn't have bothered and just pointed them in your direction - I see Tom Read and you and I as 'all in this together', rather than as competition). Sorry, bro. My bad!
  12. Superb, thank you! I'll try to get back in
  13. 2FA can be added here (once you're back in) https://www.basschat.co.uk/settings/account-security/
  14. I bought the M-Vave WP-5G system which was ridiculously cheap (around £30 IIRC) and it has been really solid.
  15. Hi there, I've just unlocked it (it said too many failed PW attempts?) - let me know if you have any other problem, for example I can rest your PW. Cheers
  16. Love to Doetinchem. Played Paddy's Bar and Wims record shop a few times.
  17. These were (are) indeed wonderful-sounding basses. Can't believe that it's nearly twenty years ago since they came out, and that next year will be the 50th Anniversary of the Stingray! Looks like rather a good buy , considering the price of a new Stingray nowadays.
  18. Fellow bass players, I’m letting go of my Aguilar Tone Hammer 700. It’s an absolute beast—tons of headroom, warm punch, and that signature Aguilar grit when you dig in. Honestly, it’s more power than I’ll ever need since I only play at home, so it deserves to be in the hands of someone who can really unleash it. Condition: Excellent, barely used. Shipping: Packed safely, no worries about transit. Can be shipped within continental EU. If you’ve been chasing that mix of clarity and growl that sits perfectly in the band mix, this head delivers. It’s ready to move some air for someone who’ll appreciate it.
  19. The Lekato ones are quite good. My guitars and vocalist all use them although the vocal one does drop out on some gigs but I suspect that it's because it's 2.4GHZ and not 5.8 GHZ. I use a Line 6 wireless which has been faultless but uses AA batteries rather that recharge the transmitter and receiver with a USB charger like the Lekato.
  20. I've been a Basschat member for some years now, posting as 'BassedinBucks'. I was in the process of buying an item from a fellow member and whilst away from home, tried to respond to his message on my phone. For some reason, I couldn't access my account but I kept trying. Then, a message popped up telling me my account was locked. I have been trying to get back into my account now for over 24 hours, yet I'm still locked out. I am using the correct password. There seems to be no multi-factor authorisation process, such as a 6 digit code texted to my phone, and no instructions advising what I have to do to un-freeze my account. I tried to look up information, but.....you have to be logged in to see it. Can anyone help me please, this seems to be a very bizarre feature to have on this chat forum. Regards, Anton

  22. Hi folks! 👋😊 My 16 y/o son has asked for a wireless system for Christmas. He only plays with his pals at school, so doesn't need anything Gucci, but equally I want to get him something that actually works. Is there much to choose between the likes of Lekato, Joyo, etc, or is it just a case of looking at reviews on Amazon and going for it? Thanks!
  23. Will take £495 for a quick sale.
  24. Is this still available?
  25. This is great news. Glad to see your campaigning paid off @Quatschmacher 😬. So glad I held off from getting the Supervintage and ‘64 Black Panel!
  26. This is probably the most famous 1 6 2 5 in a blues tune that I can think of, except that it isn't in the turnaround. It is actually in bars 5-8, followed by a 1 4 1 5 turnaround, i.e. bars 9-12. The trouble that you will have trying to use 1 6 2 5 as a turnaround, is that it doesn't really resolve naturally enough for a blues progression. Someone like @chris_b might be able to explain it better. Anyway, see what you think...
