  1. Past hour
  2. I remember going to a Sunn0))) gig. My ears were ringing for days even with high quality custom plugs. Yes it's *authentic*, but wow.
  3. It's almost impressive how much they can increase the prices between the US and other markets now. 48% difference in retail prices between the US and the UK. Right enough.
  4. Trick is to go for the one for tomatoes, it doesn't have any internal shelving. It's not the sturdiest thing – its ok with the weight of the Hohner, and could probably cope with a body and a neck separately, but it would buckle under the weight of, say, an Ibanez Musician or an Aria SB.
  5. ...and is it possible to use the rear part and tuning key from the Musicmaster with the Mustang neck? The Mustang neck has the bigger string posts which is obviously much better, so wondered if I could combine the two (or is that being silly)
  6. If I want to put a Musicmaster decal on the Mustang neck, is that a mission? I guess the original needs stripping back and re-varnishing or something? Maybe not a massive headache if the neck is getting a glam up anyway?
  7. Up for grabs is a 3leaf Proton Mk4 in Icefall from February this year in mint condition. A pretty legendary and fairly unavailable envelope filter! Avoid the wait, shipping and colossal customs fees... Price includes UK special delivery.
  8. All including UK postage. Becos CompIQ MINI Pro Compressor £155 (Mint condition) Jam Ripple Bass Phaser £105 J.Rockett GTO (Guthrie Trapp Overdrive) £160

  9. PM’d Out of interest… does anyone know would these fit a JMJ?
  10. Thanks! It's a nice combo with some heft to the tone. If it was practical for me to have multiple rigs, I'd keep hold of it.
  11. fuzzrocious big fella overdrive distortion fuzz pedal used live a couple of times, but only ever for one particular song and it feels silly to have such a great pedal going relatively unused not too fussed if this doesn't sell, so offers would have to be close to list price comes with original box, stickers etc. has velcro on the back £150, includes UK P&P.

  12. Can I cut this off a the pass, before it decends into another 'sound engineers are rubbish' thread. It's about amps/guitarists being too loud on stage and the face PoliiceSquad did the heroes thing and walked off
  13. Sounds like a review of one of my bands...
  14. Would likely take an interesting swap for this. I was hoping to use the money towards a short scale ACG, but also in the market for a Jazz, preferably a Flea signature in pink if there's any going round. Send me a PM, always up for a chat!
  15. Devil Gate Drive - Suzi Quatro
  16. My fix was just to take the battery carrier partly out. I do want to come up with a better fix - may have a look at that shortly.
  17. Wot, the shiny one? Nice isn't it - though not mine. Just an example of the sort of thing I'm going for (hopefully possible with a decent starting point)
  18. To be fair to Satriani & Co, such occurrences are not down to them, but to knob waving by the FoH engineer (who was probably hired by the promoter, not the artist). It probably sounded fine to them on stage.
  19. I was going to mention the 10-string Dean Edge Hammer. I have one - the neck is rather on the thick side but it's not bad.
  20. TBH when viewed from the rear I assumed the neck must extend to the bottom of the bass to make mounting everything easier but it is in fact, a set neck.
  21. Brian bought some Spector style fret stickers from me and all was excellent! Cheers Brian
  22. Barrel jack appears to be ok. Left it plugged in for 30 mins and it still does it when reinserting the jack. Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery whilst the jack is in has the same effect. Doesn't do it in passive mode. Once it has powered up it is quiet and functions as it should, so I will live with it.
  23. That neck..............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. I`ve put a reminder in my phone to check when get home
  25. Today
  26. Index finger on the root (not quite a rest stroke as such, but not a pluck either) and middle finger on the octave (definitely a rest stroke here).
