  2. I don't have a digital caliper to measure it with such exact precision. But I imagine those specifications can be found on the Fodera website.
  3. Really good basses - GLWTS
  4. Are you saying they're wrong?
  5. Open to trades with cash my way...
  6. That's irritating - I was in York this time last week - but as you say a £50 flight case with an amp to fix!
  7. Mogwai, 65daysofstatic, Peter Gabriel, Massive Attack, Gilles Peterson, Bass Communion and Radiohead are just a few of the artists I can think of on Bandcamp. I've never used Spotify and never will. I don't even stream music.

  9. A little while ago I rediscovered a small bag full of components for a microphone. A high quality large diaphragm condenser insert, 1 GR resistor(!) and a FET amongst other parts. The plan was to build them into the rather nice casing for a USB condenser microphone. I never got round to it, but I just was cleaning out my bookmarks and found this: https://www.audioimprov.com/AudioImprov/Mics/Entries/2017/5/7_Schoctava%2C_a_simple_mic_circuit.html Watch this space!

  11. Hi folks, TE AH300 On eBay, in York, currently for £49.99 , flight case included but that is auction with 1 bid as of now.. Rather ambiguous description as it says ,,working order when last used.,, 🤦‍♂️😁 So anyone looking for a cheap flight case with bass amp included? 11 hours 15 min to the end of auction..
  12. Still looking like I can attend. I'll probably only be able to bring my Warwick Triumph EUB as I don't think I can fit that plus a DB and 1x12 cab(*) in the boot, though I might be lucky. (*) Orange OBC 112 with Orange Terror and TC Electronics BAM 200.
  13. Hi, released my new EP “ Halo” a while ago and i thought this bass led track may interest the members. main bass used is a 1990 Warwick Thumb NT5 recorded direct to desk. let me know what you think and share the joy!! “4Q”
  14. Yamaha may not be the first brand most people think of when they think of guitars, but when they do come up in discussion they always seem to be very highly thought of. I came close to getting a BB1024 a few years ago when I was looking for PJ, ultimately the only reason I didn't was because I've never been keen on sunburst and that seemed to be the only colour scheme anyone had in stock at that particular moment. Yes I am that shallow. I'd have a Revstar skinny stringer or a vintage SG in a flash if funds/space allowed.
  15. My understanding of getting the best fit of a neck in the pocket was to slacken off the strings so they are exerting very little pull on the neck and to loosen the neck bolts very slightly. Then tighten the strings back up to pitch, allow everything to stabilise for a couple of hours and retighten the neck bolts. This has the effect of pulling the neck as far into the pocket as possible, the transfer point being the end of the neck pocket and not the bottom.
  16. I've got two BBG's currently, on four and one five string. I had a BB100, my first decent bass. Plus a BBG4 I gave to a family member in a moment of generosity. They are all very good. The BBG's are old and no longer made, and deeply unfashionable, but anyone I play with comments on how good they sound. I see new colourful EBMM basses and I think "so what?". I love every Yamaha product I have owned and used.
  17. A very versatile MIDI controller. Programmable via usb from a pc/mac. Does the lot. Can chuck in a few short MIDi cables. A few slight scuffs but all is in working order. £100 posted to you in the UK

  18. Yes, an Aria TSB 400 in the pic attached. My first bass bought second hand in 1988.
  19. The JTKB200 with the two chrome-covered singlecoils should be neck volume - bridge volume - master tone, but the Ibanez Wiki says master volume - pickup balance - master tone. Conflicting indeed! The 2009 catalog confirms VVT though. The JTKB300 with the three J-style pickups has 3 on/off-switches and just master volume and tone.
  20. Yamaha is a benchmark for me. I’ve got three Japanese ones here. They’re all top tier tools for the job they’re designed for. The black BB2024x I‘ve had since new is very special, it’s one of those instruments that just has “that magic”. I must say I was disappointed when Michael Anthony ran off to Schecter.
