First 5 string - Sire Marcus Miller V7 Reissue a good entry point?

I just have two sounds set up, and flick between by simply using the active switch - there are basically two sets of tone controls -

I agree, there’s certainly far more bad ‘have a goes’ than good, just as replica Fender builders. -
Love Pollock. Ive seen some have a goes of Pollock and they were woefully lacking. But if you think you can then well done.

Terry M. started following Ibanez BTB uncomfortable to play?

Custom painted (printed) part bass-peacock context...

That is awesome. I'd also like to know what printer it is because maybe there's someone local who can do the same - I have a ton of ideas that would work with this approach that I've been reluctant to approach with printed vinyl. -
First 5 string - Sire Marcus Miller V7 Reissue a good entry point?
Rayman replied to ColdFusion's topic in General Discussion
Another vote for a V7, 5er in my case. With 20+ basses to choose from, the V7 is still my #1 play at home bass. Absolutely lovely to play and it’ll do anything totally. Mine was ridiculously inexpensive used, and I wouldn’t be without it. -
That's only because he's posted in the wrong sub-forum. Should be in the Theory and Technique section... https://www.basschat.co.uk/forum/31-theory-and-technique/ Which IMO should be listed above General at the top of the forum and not 4 page scrolls down on the phone.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Basschat and really excited to get to know the bass community here. I've been playing bass for about 2 years now, mostly 4-string electric bass, and I really like funk/jazz/rock. A few things about me: Current gear: Ibanez SR300 bass + small practice amp Goals: improve technique, especially groove, slap & fingerstyle Current challenges: sometimes having trouble setting up strings + need advice on choosing bass strings that suit my style I'm looking forward to learning from experienced bassists here — if anyone has experience setting up bass, choosing strings, or how to practice groove effectively, I'd love your advice. Also, I'd love to jam, share experiences, or listen to your music projects if you need a bassist. Nice to meet you all! Steal Brainrot Game

Sibob started following CMC Audio Bi-Filter Fuzz
-
Hi all, Unfortunately, an unexpected bill has come in, which means that this excellent Fuzz/Filter from CMC Audio (who make the Proto Type overdrive) has to go. I bought it a little while ago, and honestly, while it’s excellent, it’s also the most valuable of the many fuzzes I have, so needs-must. More info from CMC here: https://cmcaudio.odoo.com/shop/bi-filter-fuzz-33 I made a video of one particular sound I liked below, but there’s more videos on their Instagram and on YouTube which shows it doing straight Fuzz tones, as well as synthy, envelope filter tones too. You can attach an expression pedal, and a holding down the footswitch means it works as a momentary switch (until you take your foot off of course), a short press and release obviously still allows a latching function. Boxed and as-new other than Velcro on bottom. I’m open to part-ex’s (what u got?), but need at least £140 cash. These are circa £230 new + plus delivery from Belgium + VAT. BFF.mov Cheers Si

Time has come to let go of this great bass rig. Had this for gigs but only got through one before the band had issues again. If I play again will be going to a power amp/modelling pedal and In ear setup as most of the places I can practice are quiet or have cabs available. Head sold ..... Markbass MB58R 104 PURE Bass Cab 4ohm 800watt version This is a light exceptionally portable bass cab With great bass response which is surprising after you have carried it in. Has an adjustable tweeter and is just a great cab. Weight is around 16kg so an easy one person lift. Sounds great is great would keep it but is just taking up spare room space. Featuring four 10" custom designed neodymium speakers housed in a spacious cabinet, it produces articulate tones with a rich. fulfilling bass response. In addition, the 104 PURE boasts a clear high end through a built-in Hi-Fi tweeter. This formidable speaker can handle up to 800 Watts, so you've got ample headroom for those situations where you need plenty of volume. And speaking of situations, the MB58R is easy to get situated thanks to its incredibly light construction! Utilising innovative material for a lighter frame, Markbass have produced a cab that's easy to transport and astonishingly powerful. Crossover Frequency: 3.5 Khz Frequency Response: 40hz to 20khz Sensitivity Db Spl: 103 Db Impedance: 4 Ohms Reflex: Rear 578mm x 600mm x 470mm (£500 on its own but collection only on the cab as wouldn't have a box etc) Any questions feel free to ask. Would consider a Nice Jap Pbass or a PJ of some sort as a trade /part trade
