Yeah, I read that somewhere too. It wasn’t just the pickup that was on the squint, the entire chrome assembly was pissed. Didn’t notwithstanding immediately, but once I was aware of it, I couldn’t unsee it.

John Hall once stated that a crooked bridge pickup didn't matter, it was only an aesthetic issue and wasn't seen under the cover. If players chose to remove the cover and exposed the crooked pickup that was their choice. He then went on to rip off Tubeampology's bezel design and release a product designed solely to be used when the pickup cover is removed.

I don't even like Rush's music much, but I do like those two!

My 4003s had a wonky bridge pickup (both pickup and surround) and the nut was like it had been finished by a blind man. QC very much not the watchword at Hall Towers.

Myself and guitarist/ teacher were gonna form a band , the hamsters of death . We would have been Ray Bid and Bloa Ted . Life got in the way unfortunately. Stage names I have considered in the past ; Philip Eno , Wayne Kossoff ( free tribute band?) and Phyllis Glass . They didn’t materialise either 🙂

I remember the gig they did at the Lyceum ( heaviest night of the year tour or something like that ) . We did have a chuckle when he was introduced 🙂

Many years ago, I was invited to be part of a touring band and Annika was lined up as drummer. Sadly some politics got involved and it never happened, but that would have been an experience to tick off the bucket list. Such a great player, I love her vibes, a really 'compositional' player like working with Gavin Harrison.

When they said getting other people in, I did hope that they would get a guest singer too. I didn't bother with the last tour as clearly he couldn't sing most of the earlier stuff, so I doubt it has changed much.

I’ve ended up using wholesale-caps.com a few times when I needed plain stuff to mess around with designs. Great prices if you're grabbing a few things at once, and they've got decent long and short sleeve options that take screen printing and patches well. Quality's fine for playing sweaty gigs or just knocking about, and I don’t feel bad if something gets wrecked.

If taking the neck of may become a more regular routine, maybe look at replacing the wood screws for neck inserts and bolts.

Just saw this ! I won’t be purchasing the box set . I have 99% of their catalogue anyway . I may pay for separate downloaded tracks , or wait till R60 As for going to see the Rush tribute , I have more or less quit going to gigs . 2017 was my last one . I will probably purchase dvd or live downloads when they are released. They will probably do the o2 again , which means a soul destroying attempt to get tks in the first place which will not be cheap . Then travel etc . Annika is a great drummer from various clips I’ve seen on the tube . Anyway , if you do manage to catch them congratulations and I’m sure it’ll be a great show !

So, acoustic drums (which typically dictates how loud the band will play) which is typically the loudest instrument on the band stand and has no volume control (other than the players dynamics) and no shield in front of drum kit. Band is behind the speakers and sub which means unless the PA system is really quiet you will get a ton of low end backwash. Monitoring with IEM's I assume? Dedicated sound person? If you're drummer plays very quietly and the PA is not too loud it can work. If the drummer is loud and by default so will the PA in order to keep up with low end backwash and drums you will have to monitor at unsafe levels with your IEM's.

I have a friend who is looking to part ways with a signed guitar, but isn't too sure how to accurately value/authenticate the signatures. Guitar is in great condition, never played seriously. Doesn't come with a certificate, but it was won in a competition at the band's own gig and comes with other merch including a 7" vinyl. Any suggestions? Anything is appreciated at this stage. Can give more info privately.
