  1. Past hour
  2. Gonna Creep Up on You - Thin Lizzy
  3. Pictures to follow later today. For sale is my barely used Valeton Bass Dapper in the original box with PSU and mini manual. I've used it maybe 3 to 4 times at home only and it was originally purchased to use as a DI into the PA. Now that I'm winding down and getting rid of stuff, this is up for grabs. It has several components, most of which are clones of well known gear: - Tuner - Compressor/boost - Envelope filter - Drive - Octaver - Chorus - XLR DI output and an effects loop £60 including UK postage.
  4. Very nice find Tauzeo. You'll be mwah-ing along with Steve Bailey in no time
  5. I'm getting a £20 voucher offer with the YUKFSIGZMWVHZ87M code as well so £395 if anyone else wants to try it.
  6. I really like it, but I am a sucker for a stack knob jazz, my AVRI 62 is one of my favourites, must stop looking 😁
  7. 44mm nut?
  8. To save peeps googling: https://www.peachguitars.com/fender-limited-edition-laura-lee-jazz-bass-rosewood-vintage-white.htm
  9. Yes, that's the new reality - Mexican specialist Fenders are now around 1400. American Ultra II is now about £2200. Prices of basses (same as everything else) have gone mad. Seems a little heavy - my 2016 Elite Ash Jazz is a shade under 9, apparently. Must be all that iron work she has in the talent inhibitors.
  10. Looks like I may be doing something slightly punky with my own vocalisations!
  11. In the Thomann images, these have Made in China on the headstock, rather than Indonesia.
  12. Today
  13. I'm the same and for similar reasons. The beat drives the song along and the keys add something extra and helps it build towards the end. But oh, that Mandocello in the first video. Such a gorgeous sound. 🙂
  14. I've got a Vintera Telecaster Bass and it's a hard pickup to define. It's not overly muddy, certainly has more focus to it than my old EB-3, but it's not as articulate as a P Bass. It drives my amp with very little effort. "Built for power, not for speed" is how I saw them described once.
  15. The vibrato mechanism on the Barracuda essentially became a fixed bridge once I fitted Newtone Axion Bass VI strings.
  16. I was going to joke that it started with tolex peel, but the description confirms that’s exactly how it started! Sanded the front grille on auto-pilot too, ffs! And gone through the laminates in a couple of spots on the carcass. Damn, what a waste.
  17. So she’s strong as well as talented, hate her…….
  18. That said, Peach Guitars has a couple in for £1400-odd and they weigh around the 10 pound mark. Even with covers on, that seems toppy to me on both counts
  19. Pretty much like Slash with his Les Pauls, a sig version of a copy, nowt wrong with that imo
  20. Fender made her a custom version of her SX Jazz replica (ironic!) in 2022, so its legit that she has a Fender sig bass even if the genesis was a replica
  21. That’s my daughter’s guitar btw. It isn’t mine 🤮
  22. Sort of. I believe the OP used the term "pan" to refer to a continuously variable blend between 2 sources prior to sending the signal to the transmitter, rather than the more common sense of panning in stereo. The issue with this is that doing it with a hardwired combiner can electrically stress the outputs of the desk, which makes finding a solution based on working with the tone of the input(s) more important. Splitting the bass into 2 channels on the desk is the easiest & most reliable way of doing this, IMO. As @Chienmortbb has confirmed the CQ can't do that internally, a hardwired solution such as This for less than four quid is all it takes, assuming a spare input channel is available.
  23. Just tried "your" 1025X in The Gallery in Camden and I have to say that tonally I would take that P bass pickup soloed over an actual Fender P bass (I've had a few). Now I'm REALLY curious as to what it has over the 425X 🤔 Their used red BB735A (I know you're not after one) in red felt superior in my hands however.
  24. For sale is my Headrush Gigboard in great condition. It has the latest firmware updates etc and comes with the original power supply. Fully functional and dead easy to use / configure etc. I have a number of my own bass presets stored and I removed the factory (mainly guitar) presets to reduce the need for scrolling etc. I can easily reload the original presets if the new owner would like.....it takes about 2 mins, its that straight forward. Plenty of online videos, help and guidance to review as well. Its really easy to set up and edit using the touch screen to drag & drop effects and IR's together instantly. The interface is super easy to use. There are plenty of amps, cabs, IRs, microphone, and effects options to get the tones you're looking for. You can use your own impulse responses as well as backing up your presets to your PC. The four switches can be configured to switch between rigs, switch on effects, scenes or whatever you prefer. It has a looper too and can be used as audio interface for recording with reamping from the clean signal. Heres a few links: Headrush website Headrush Effects & Controls List Basschat thread I've added some documents for info eg: manual, effects list, preset equivalents - Gigboard-User-Guide-v2_1_2.pdfHeadRush Amps, Cabs, Mics and Effects.pdfHeadrush Models @2019.pdfHeadrush Preset Equivalents.pdf Comes boxed with power supply. As Aberdeen is a long way from most of civilisation, I'll ship to mainland UK at cost using Parcelforce / Royal Mail.
  25. For sale is my TC Electronic GMajor-2 multi effects unit in fully working condition and updated to the latest firmware. Pictures show it in its usual rack home (rack not included). Although most of the standard effects are aimed at the guitarist I have found the compressor, gate, flanger, phaser and octaver (up and down) etc. to be very useable for bass. I can either factory reset before shipping or leave the presets I have created intalled. It has built in EQ, noise gate, compressor, reverbs, delays, wahs, octaver, tremolo, phaser, flanger etc each of which can be switched in / out from the front panel as required. I have been using this via my amps effects loop and found the compressor (and all the effects) just add their effect without changing the fundamental sound of the bass. Comes with original box and operating manual. You can use the unit in your DAW as well as with your bass / guitar etc. Patches can be easily selected from the front panel or attach a midi-pedal (I used a MidiMoose). There is also some Vyzor software you can download from the net which allows you to interface your PC with the GMajor-2 to edit and backup your user patches. I have also attached the GMajor-2 and Vyzor manuals below. tc_electronic_g-major_2_manual_english.pdfVyzor_G-Major2_Quick-Start.pdf I estimate UK shipping about £10 to £15.
