  1. Past hour
  2. I'm intrigued by the new Marlita Bass (not rich enough for a s/h Amrita !) What the flow of instruments into the UK like ? Andertons still the dodgy shop to buy from ? heh !!! (I expect they will deny everything regarding the bass-just like the mystery who owns what amp fiasco)
  3. Yeh, it was 16 bars so I could get all the variations Yes, that is the bit I couldn't find, the export audio part! TBH - I should be doing this in the MPC-10 which is obviously designed for it, but I am not used to 'its' way of doing things, seems recycle copies heavily from the MPC workflow, which is the bit I haven't got used to yet. Thanks.
  4. Ws90 and 80 pair the same way.
  5. The rest of what you need to know:
  6. I didn't realise I wanted a synth pedal on my board until seeing the demos for this. Well played MXR.
  7. I had that problem with one group (different song). Ultimately I just couldn't play it wrong! New side project does Dani California with different vocal timing in the chorus and it throws me right out - I have done it in the last 3 groups, probably played it north of 300 times in that time. Luckily I have a P16, so I just turn the vocals off for that track!
  8. Won't be joining. My Kay collection.
  9. £822.72 or Best Offer unlikely...
  10. A new review (with a bit of a clickbait title) It chimes with what I've been assuming: Great Bass in nearly every way, but I'd prefer a blend and a series/parallel switch. And yeah, the price is steep. GAS is a difficult condition to cure with rational thinking though! I still want one.
  11. Looks like you might not be missing much:
  12. Last night the guitarist agreed it was his mistake and he somehow missed it. Probably because we don't put it in the set very often. Dave
  13. A friend of mine had a Sandberg 4 string which he really liked...he spoke very highly of its tonal qualities and its playability...but he still sold it!! Weight was an issue...what does this weigh???
  14. I find that 'resting' an instrument or pedal, that is putting it completely away out of sight for a couple of months, makes returning to it feel similar to acquiring a new one - well, enough to partially satisfy my GAS. Last year I rested my Sterling 34HH, mainly because it needed some TLC on the electrics and a general set-up. When I got it back a couple of months ago, I couldn't put it down. Currently I'm resting my P Bass (which was my main instrument last year) and my B6 pedal board (the main FX unit last year). Sadly, my talent appears to be permanently resting. 🤣
  15. +1^^ to both of those which, as you say, are great selling points. I've always struggled with the tracking / glitchiness of one or two of the leading synth pedals, which meant they didn't work for me live. I ended up with a Boss SY200 which has fabulously tight tracking, but doesn't have the quality of synth tones of e.g. a FI. This pedal seems to deliver the best of both worlds. That really is quite a feat, well done MXR/IMA!
  16. It seems a little strange that the connector is TRS but it only makes use of a single footswitch, either tap or hold to scroll up or down. A double footswitch with one up and one down would be handier.
  17. Active ones are great, but I feel much more comfortable giging with a passive or an active with a passive bypass. Been caught out a few times, in the heat of the moment you blame everything else apart from the battery. Yes I know I should check it more often!
  18. I thought exactly this. If you’re specifically looking for a medium scale then it’s not a bad shout as the only other ‘affordable’ medium on the market is the affinity range by Squier and that’s a lot cheaper (happy to be corrected). But, between the Jet basses and this, is it going to be almost twice as good as the Jet basses which is what the price point indicates? Hmm. Looks to have slightly better woods than the Jet basses, and a ‘bone’ nut. Otherwise, likely to be a very similar beast in terms of quality. Be interested to hear some first hand reviews on them!
  19. My Lekato WS-90s came without a user manual - has anyone got one they could scan/photograph and send to me? (I realise it'll probably say 1. plug in. 2. turn on. but I wouldn't mind seeing if there's anything else I should know!) Ta
  20. Gregor-you should take heed at the wise words from Steve, if you really want to sell........serious buyers want serious infos & data-no one drops that sort of money without serious provenance. So are you saying that you will only show/tell the good stuff to peeps who PM you? Strange......
  21. I've had these a while, using them in various amps with valve preamp stages, but my move away from such amps means they are now surplus: Mullard ECC83 - code B6B3 means made in Blackburn, third week of February in either 1956, 1966 or 1976 = £50 Mullard ECC83 - (code backward3)91 means made in Chelmsford for Mullard by Marconi, but not sure how to date the rest = £50 Mullard ECC81 - no code that I can see = £25 Caveat Emptor: I have tested them in my Demeter amp and they are all working fine at time of writing, but as always with old valves be aware they can fail at any time. Please do bear that in mind before you buy.

  22. As they have round cores I would say there's a bit mellower than the D'Ads. Watch this video, from 1:56 to 2:42 and then again from 6:49 to 7:35, which might help.
  23. Am heartily fed up of eBay tyre kickers with 78 questions/requests who then disappear .... So to keep this in BC community, £50 price cut to £700 (plus 24 or 48 hour economy delivery at cost - £15/20 or thereabouts). PS. The DiMarzio Ultra Jazz noiseless pickups alone cost £150 a set ...
