Thanks Woody. But that's an additional point to amplification though? And would on the face of it apply to any IEM whether wired or wireless being out fed into an aux-out? I see that the 6 aux-outs of the Beheringer XAir XR18 are all 3 pin XLR - so no possibility of putting a normal headphone jack into those sockets, plus one headphone out? The aux out sockets on the CQ18 are balanced mono, and I remember you saying that most aux outs are similarly mono? Now the Xvive U4s we used are also mono - so I guess that deals with any phasing issues for those particular devices? But given what you're saying, that then leaves the question as to why we or anyone gets a clear feed into stereo IEM headphones where the balanced mono of an aux output is being matched with an unbalanced stereo jack?

Marc S started following Battery bass / fiddle amps?

Another shout for the Bose S1 battery (or mains) powered PA here. I've had mine for several years now, and have used it for busking, and folk pub-jams. I also used it for a couple of small, acoustic gigs. It's loud for its size, and very portable. It also has 2 standard jack / mic inputs, and a mini-jack for MP3 players / phones etc. As has been mentioned - it ain't cheap, but much louder than the Micro Bass Cube. Quality build and sound though. Oh, and you can link them up if you have two (possibly more?).

Good call do you have a link?

I'm winding everything back now and having a clearcut of all the stuff I'm unlikely to ever use again. I'm open to sensible offers for any of these - the £900 shown in the listing is for the whole lot, collected. Prices include postage to UK addresses apart from the Take 5 - please PM to discuss collection or delivery options for that. Given that this is a clearout, I'm not really looking for swaps but feel free to let me know if you have anything - to be honest, it's unlikely but you never know! Sequential Take 5 analogue synth - immaculate condition, boxed, upgraded to the latest firmware and patches £750 Zoom R12 portable multitrack recorder - bought to record the band at rehearsal and only used once before the band imploded. Boxed, immaculate £150 Roland VT4 voice transformer - bought when I entertained fantasies of singing backing vox. Again, used just the once and then retired along with the rest of my dreams. £125 UNO drum machine - a great little drum machine, fantastic for giving us a basic beat whenever the drummer failed to make rehearsals. Light usage, boxed and immaculate condition £100 Waldorf Streichfett string synth - surprisingly versatile little synth that does a great job of recreating the sound of 70s string synths. Immaculate, boxed £150 Thanks for looking - if you have any questions or would like photographs, please PM

Virtually new Fender Bassman 100 cover from Roqsolid, i got it to use while my flightcase was being manufactured so was only used briefly. Its a little dusty but will wipe. They're about £65 new + shipping Cover is in Hope Valley, happy to post within UK, probably gonna cost a tenner just for how small it doesn't fold up.

For sale, my Octave Mandola OR Octave Mandolin (they are the same thing). Shorter scale than an Irish Bouzouki, this one is tuned GDAE in unison pairs (or courses). Condition is excellent, not quite mint and includes a nice TGI gig bag that is a perfect fit. Mandola is in Hope Valley (S33 6SB) for local collection or I could deliver locally too. Could attempt uk posting but it isn't as solid as a bass so I'd be a bit wary of that.

I have a short scale (smaller than 30") which was built by Jabba. I didn't order or commission it - I got it used, on the marketplace on this forum. The bass is a thing of beauty. It's a really well crafted instrument of very high quality indeed. @Jabba_the_gut's work is of a consistently high level of quality when I see his builds on here.

Mikey D started following Yahama TRB-6 Black (Made in Japan) 1996
-
Very reluctant sale, but this deserves to be played, not stored. After waiting for a long time, 2 of these came along at once but as I just lost my job. I've kept the 1994 one as that was the same year as my first bass so a bit sentimental. These early MIJ TRBs are widely regarded as the best of the line. Built when Yamaha were quietly producing genuinely world class instruments used by the best. And still used by the best if they know. Specs Model: Yamaha TRB-6 Year: 1996 Made in Japan Black Translucent Finish 6-string Bolt-on neck Active electronics Includes hard case Condition For a 30-year-old instrument, it’s in great condition. The neck, which is a particular strength of these instruments, in particular feels almost new. Straight, stable, truss rod works perfectly. Frets are in excellent shape. Electronics are clean and quiet, and after 30 years most others have wear on the pickup and gold Yamaha kogos. Not here, this looks almost new. Only notable cosmetic issues to call out are a few minor marks on the lower edge of the headstock and on the upper horn, where a previous owner seemingly fitted straplocks and damaged the finish (see photo). Sure the right person could even buff to a shine if bother. You can’t see it when a strap is on and it’s purely cosmetic. How it plays If you know you know. I'm adamant these are the best 6 strings built. Effortless action, massive low end, clear and articulate top end. Accessible right up to 24th fret across almost all of the strings. Classic TRB sound. These early Japanese builds were made to a standard most custom builders would be proud of. Open to sensible offers. Collection preferred. Or I can maybe help meet within reasonable distance. Would rather not ship but can discuss this at owners risk. Happy to answer questions or provide more photos.

The Burpster started following PRS EB4 Swamp Ash pre production Prototype
-
Swamp Ash Prototype. This is the one I thought I wouldn’t sell! It is a 2001 Electric bass with Swamp Ash body and Maple/Rosewood neck with bird inlays. So here is the special bit. When I saw it for sale at Absolute Music I thought there was something unusual about the serial number. I contacted the support team at Stevensville and here is the story. When Mr Smith has an idea for a new guitar model he keeps either the prototype or one of the production models and keeps them in the factory music room. The design for the EB4 had been settled and was in production but he wanted to try a Swamp Ash body, this is the prototype. It was not initially issued a serial number and only when a smart broker convinced PRS to sell some of the guitars in that room that this one made the cut. At that point it was issued the serial number 150. This is easily established by contacting the Support center at the factory. I have one of the production Swamp Ash models which was the first EB 4 I bought. This model is pretty much NOS and is mint. The only thing apart from cleaning and periodic playing is fitting GHS flatwound 105 strings which IMHO brings out the true tone of the SwampAsh body. I really dont like the idea of sending it so would prefer a meet up or collection and trial first hand. It really is special instrument and worth every penny of £1500 especially safe in the knowledge that Mr Smith himself thought it good enough to keep.

96er going up for sale.

Lovely story. They really are just a pleasure to play and I'm sure you did it proud.

Yep, I have one of those (for my Boss XE1), sounds like a plan, but still leaves that horrible connector which you know is going to be the first thing to break. I have one but would be reluctant to gig it unless I had physically secured something to that power adapter. Oh thats a good idea. Could glue that to the case!
