  2. *PRICE INCLUDES UK POSTAGE * Wicked pedal! Tracks beautifully. Only selling as I’m now using multi-effect unit. In great condition (I may even have original box…can’t find at the moment m). Does an octave below and/or above. Also has an independent boost effect. Blurb here: Octavius tri-tone generator has 4 controls LO OCT, HIGH OCT, MASTER MIX and BOOST. LO OCT knob lets you set the volume of the lower octave signal produced by the pedal. HIGH OCT knob controls the volume of the higher octave signal produced by the pedal. The balance between the levels of these 2 knobs is what creates your particular octave-divided sound. Experiment with your mix, and you’ll be amazed at the variety of effects you’ll get. MASTER MIX knob lets you set the overall volume of your low and high octaves compared to your direct signal. Use the BOOST knob to control the output of your octave-divided sound. The boost function lets you dial in a solo level, whether the overdrive circuit is activated or not.
  3. Ah….a post comic/highjacker! That should cost you a pack of strings. I’ll pm you my address!🤫
  4. Yep! I used the 370M (very thin)but fantastic!👌🏽 Much thanks🤞🏽
  5. Also…don’t mind a trade for a decent bass cab…???
  6. Bought these recently here and they’re great but I decided to go with my preferred choice on a bass I’ve modded for a particular situation. In my trial with them I found them to be quiet and even with low output as described (alnico standard) but much better than stock pickups. In other words...pro improvement. My East UK active preamp has gain adjustment so that didn’t pose a problem. I thought they were vintage voiced (60’s) but even slap style sounded pleasant. I preferred the more hi-fi sound of the EMG for the stuff I’m doing (plus I have more vintage styled instruments available). I also did the series/parallel switching with them and that was great (versatile option) but you can choose either as both ways sounded great. The original post: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/518269-celinder-ss-humbucker-alnico-jazz-pickups-sold/#comment-5561431 I have epoxied the tabs so they’re much better and poses no problems to mount the pickups. I’m asking what I paid for them and this includes UK shipping.
  7. I’ve had friends do stuff like that too, meaning well but missing the point. I just laugh and keep posting; the odd comments still help keep the gig in people’s heads.

    Classy 👍🏼
  9. As a retired pilot I'd never recommended playing on any aircraft runways 😳, but Yep there's something for everyone. Just a shame we have to kiss (or ought I say 'play') a few frogs along the way 😂
  10. Yep, she's a bit of a legend isn't she. Mind you she's had her pick of smaller scale basses with quite a few manufacturers falling over themselves trying to get in on the scene. And despite the obvious parental and sponsorship grooming, the young lass certainly has the talent and charisma to charm. Wonder what she'll be up to 10 years from now. Still playing I hope....
  11. For sale: Source audio dual expression pedal. £70 plus postage Description (from Website) The Source Audio Dual Expression Pedal delivers precision response and smooth action in a durable cast aluminum housing. Dual TRS expression outputs make it possible to control two effects units simultaneously. The pedal is compatible with the very common Boss/Roland style (“tip hot”) expression input. The Range Adjust Knob sets the bottom point of the expression range. Plus, a special Sensor Output connects directly to any Hand®, Soundblox®, Soundblox 2, or Soundblox Pro pedal for real-time control over filter sweeps, effect modulation, LFO speeds, wet/dry mixes, drive levels and more. Great condition. Barely used, boxed with leads. Postage will probably be about £10?
  12. I'll do me best. Failing that, for the right bass, I'll stick in some EMG or Aguilars or whatever else takes me fancy come the time.
  13. It is adjustable via the standard MIDI CC for portamento though.
  14. has anyone had any experience with these? I recently got a harley benton one https://www.thomann.co.uk/harley_benton_amp_iso_2.htm I'm really amazed at the thing! on a hollow wooden stage it made a huge difference in sound and tone
  15. Scarily easy as I've just figured out! Another nail in the coffin for aspiring originals artists hoping to "make it", just as streaming has already proved to be? I suspect that where the industry is heading could well be similar to where classical music has ended up with performers, in our case covers and tribute bands, being custodians of a vast library of music that is already much loved; with occasional new material to sit alongside the great songwriters and composers of the past: read ABBA to Zeppelin for Bach to Stravinsky. The Times They Are A-Changin'...
  16. If flatwounds are not your thing, I can happily replace them with one of the following. I really do need to stop buying strings…….it’s a bad habit!
  17. Incidentally, I found this video: which says in the description "M-VAVE ANN BLACK BOX is same as the original BLACK BOX, they just emphasized the ANN Training capability of their device."
  18. I had a problem with the Boss working in my acoustic and the workaround was to use a TRS-TS connector. So I got a right angled one and as that also ‘worked’ on my other instruments I could use it when I felt it was sticking out a bit too much… There were also some jacks it didn’t like and it wouldn’t operate the power so I kept an assortment of washers that went over the Boss jack and made sure the power was activated. All stored in an old glasses case…
  19. It's a good photo - it shows all the kit. And it's a lot of kit for the money! There is a whole thread on buying electric pianos here https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/520144-stage-pianos/page/3/ so there seems to be interest in such instruments on Basschat.
  20. Now in the country...
  21. Sorry I probably wasn’t clear enough. I meant dismantle the XLR plug that is stuck in your PA amp module. Undo the screw on cable gland on the plug, withdraw the innards from the XLR plug and then reach inside the housing of the plug that will still be stuck in your PA amp module to release the latch with a small flat head screw driver.
  22. I do think Aguilar lost a lot of what made them great when Korg acquired them. They've barely done anything to move forwards, expect increase their prices significantly. I still think their Tonehammer Pre and DB cabinets are absolutely fantastic, but by now I'd have expected them to move on with brand new ranges. Now that I see the criticism of this combo, I can see why people are surprised at the design of it. They would have been better to make a combo like TC/Genz did with either a cradle or a separate 'shelf' on top of the cabinet (that is totally covered), and kept it at 500W. At the price this combo will be, I'd expect an exceptional 2x10 that can handle most of what a mid level amp can throw at it (say 400+ w). In the UK, I'd probably go for Ashdown now with their UK manufactured combos/amps.
