  2. Welcome Chris, great that you’ve joined us, many many many Trace and Status fans here, suspect you’re gonna be kept busy 👍
  3. have you asked Rob Green? you never know
  4. Sub’n’Up mini. Very good condition - does have Velcro on the bass. Boxed. £50 plus postage
  5. Unfortunately it fits perfectly, therefore I'll have to give this one a miss.
  6. A full set of Spot On templates to make a Stingray style bass. Bought for an idea then changed my mind! Decent templates made from 9mm MDF. They haven’t been used though I have sanded the neck template very slightly as it was about 1mm too wide for the pocket. It is now a tight fit. For reference, if you are planning using a standard USA scratch plate then note the position on these templates is a couple of mm different (easy to adjust template position when building). Cheers

  7. I really do not like a warm toilet seat. If I have to use a public toilet, I like to use some tissue wet with cold water to wipe the seat. All to maintain the illusion that someone else’s bum wasn’t just on the same seat.

  12. Thanks so much for all the info everyone, these forums are pretty quick, I didn't expect this so soon so sorry for not replying before Understandable my fear was that picking up an older Asian brand bass because I like the aesthetic might produce bad results lol but if that's the case then it's great. These were all among the cheapest in my region so it's great to know this is the case Got it. What I heard is that the shielding often isn't good so there's noise when the jazz pickup is on and this is what I saw on a Saturn review but then saw other people commenting on that in a broader sense. But if you never heard of it I assume its people who aren't fans for other reasons being nitpicky! Thanks a lot !! These are a bit more expensive around here. The GSR200 I have seen a few listings for, including a very well priced one so I asked the guy but they wouldn't deliver and I didn't want to travel to get it, lol but that was my first option. Thanks Got it, that's a term I saw floating around but didn't know what it meant. That could be what they meant indeed. Do you think that's what I should be looking for for the genres I want to play ? Thanks
  13. ...I sure wish I could play like this guy. He didn't just play the bass, he slayed the bass!

  14. Well not sure what to write really 🤔 .. bought some strings off Tom, they didn’t arrive (Tom showed proof of sending via Royal Mail) then RM sent note saying insufficient payment, apparently they see package as small parcel .. Tom paid the extra though was a pissed with RM coz he’d sent similar before with no issue .. unfortunately when package did arrive it was empty Tom seemed more pissed (understandable) & feels ‘fleeced’ & says ‘he doesn’t know who to trust’ .. which kinda implies I might have taken them or something .. I asked him if he could ask RM about this .. his response unfortunately was to ‘leave the conversation’ hence my reaction is to write this feedback I’ve been a member on here for 18 years, never had bad feedback etc .. Looks like we’ve both lost out but I would expect at least a bit of courtesy shown …
  15. I don't really know how to describe this one... can be a preamp, DI, Fuzz, Drive or EQ with a particular flavour of it's own. Great condition, Price includes UK Delivery.

  16. Given the nature of the Bird... I'd prefer collection/Delivery but well packaged and very insured postage is possible. This one has been my gateway drug, and before i knew it i've bought myself an old single pickup model. It's in mint condition, and comes with a great padded gigbag. Pretty light at 3.8 kg, and personally I haven't had an issue with neck dive as these sometimes suffer from. These are proper neck-through models like the originals. As always please hit me up with questions/photo requests! .

  17. Here the tradition is to wear the wedding ring on the right hand. This happens to be the hand that (in my case) plucks the strings - excite them, you may say - so the ring dont cause troubles. Maybe a coincidence, but we also drive the right side of the road.
  18. I've never had a problem playing with a ring on.
  19. Crikey I'm tempted... and within range for me...

  21. Nabbed a couple of the last few tickets for Rise And Fall Of The City Of Mahagonny at ENO on Monday. You know, the one with that Doors song in it.
  22. Those unevenly spaced tuners on the bridge are driving me mad...
  23. Thelema Instruments website at thelema-instruments.de no longer exists. However, it's on the Wayback Machine and the Antbass is a different kettle of fish. https://web.archive.org/web/20131207080247/http://thelema-instruments.de/antbass.html So the original question still stands.
  24. so I went down a rabbit hole. Got my multimeter out and tested the Bart’s and the original pickups. barts are 8.67k (ceramic) and originals are 9.39k(alnico). My squirer pbass is 7.7k (ceramic but not in the league of Bart’s at all) when I got my bass from Bassbros I took it to a local Luthier to look at. He worked or learnt at Monty’s guitars. He told me don’t change the original pickups as they are great sounding. I was after the paul jackson sound so I did lol.
  25. Wish I was closer as I feel like getting my first "traditional" type bass! Sadly very far away!
  26. How is this only £100? I would but it is a long way from mid wales to Swindon. Postage?
