  2. Having a bit of a hardware clear out. I have a few sets of machine heads that I wont be using. All are new and unused but the boxes show signs of wear/age. Schaller BMF in black £60 posted Schaller M5-2000 5 string £60 posted Schaller M5-2000 5 string £60 posted Schaller Guitar Tuners £70 posted Schaller M4 Gold 2 a-side £55 posted
  3. Unused 5 string clamp for headless bass. £40 posted. Unused ABM 5 String Bridge £70 posted. Really nice quality bridge. Used Schaller 2000 bridge £40 posted. A few marks where the saddle screws touch the bass plate.
  4. I've not seen these before, and would be interested to know the educational thinking behind the 3-string idea. Quality-wise they seem ok (as much as I can tell from a photo). Bit pricey though I think. Probably best to go for the 6+ range and let her grow into it. Notwithstanding the flash cards and app, OP should still be prepared to spend time with her (IMHO, obvs.). It would be good to monitor progress regularly even if she seems happy with the app and cards. As I said before I think, most bad playing habits are acquired early and can be a pain to unravel further down the line. As always, just my opinion.
  5. If buying different tips, measure the diameter of the 'speaker' part they fit on as the hole in the tip come in different sizes. I've not checked when buying off Amazon and got ones too small.
  6. I can't enter this as it's several years old, but it fits the theme and is a bit different, so just for fun:
  7. Yep, i had the same experience. Started with the popular KZ’s but they were never comfortable and put me of using IEM’s for a while. Also settled on the Sennheiser’s after trying a few other brands. I have flat ears and most that i tried felt like they going to fall out, event though the seal itself was good.
  8. I remember the post now Michael. Apologies for asking again. Dave
  9. Great bass line, although arguably a derivative of Chic Good Times?!
  10. Another one bites the dust must be up there somewhere, soon as you hear the first 3 notes you know what it is, apologies if it’s already been mentioned
  11. Anodized gold pickguard from my Fender Classic 50s Precision Bass. Free postage.
  12. A pricier option, but these look like a good idea. https://loogguitars.com 3 top strings from a guitar, on a child-sized instrument. Less to learn, and transferable to big guitar later.
  13. i remember hearing that the first time in a club and was absolutely blown away, fantastic tune there Dr J
  14. Yes as others have said you get different size buds/tips BUT... that isn't the only factor for good fit/isolation. I tried three different sets of IEs before I found the Senn IE100 was the best fit for me; KZs were too heavy on the outside of my ear and skewed the fit so they leaked (regardless of type or size of tip). Just saying!
  15. PAIR of Vintage 1980's Westone Thunder I & 1A Passive & Active Electric Basses from Matsumoku Factory, Japan - Fretless & Fretted. Manufactured between 1981 and 1989. Serial numbers 2021811 & 4071308 Check out the Westone website as it holds useful information. Different eras of this iconic bass but otherwise very much the same instrument (other than being fretted/fretless + active/passive). The f/less bass has been converted from an originally fretted bass. There are the usual signs of pitting/wear to the original metallic hardware (SEE PHOTOS). Pots run smooth with no crackle currently when played. Knobs pitted and aged. There are signs of surface scratching and small dings etc. as photographed. One set of the original 'westone' tuners have been replaced with a generic set. Not tried it, but the necks could be swapped across if the active circuit preferred in the fretted bass. Each instrument has a basic, somewhat tatty, generic hardcase, so they'd have to be courier'd separately. I'd prefer to sell as the pair but might consider splitting (and relisting) IF there's interest in both individually.

  16. My recently acquired Greg Barcus Custom 6-string.
  17. tell you what @Burns-bass - I’ll Chuck a tenner in for you x
  18. There are a lot of differnt size/types of ear tip available on Amazon etc. It can take a few attempts to get the best fit, but it’s worth it in the end.
  19. As mentioned a few pages ago, it was my Combustion -> GX-100 -> Bass Big Muff/Mojo Mojo in the loop -> Laney Digbeth. The big head you can see next to me is the guitarist/singers old 70s Yamaha solid state thing. It supposedly imitates a Fender Twin.
  20. Today
  21. These look really nice! Nice unique shape too. Have no doubt that they’ll play lovely too If their Jet basses are anything to go by!
  22. Freeze Frame - J Geils Band
