  2. Did our monthly duo gig yesterday at The Sun Inn in Beverley, usual request format. Plenty of people in, including one table of folk from Ilkley and another from Sheffield. Probably the most requests we’ve ever had, with some nice stuff we haven’t played much, or ever! These included ‘Can’t take my eyes off you’, ‘Change the world’ ( which I love), ‘Let it be me’ , ‘ Dakota’ ( which I’m starting to dislike a lot now…) and then for an encore Albert Lee’s ‘Country Boy’. My guitarist partner was on fire in this, despite us losing the delay repeats at one point, and with no drummer to blame too! A very jolly gig in a great venue, with a lovely audience and some dancers as well. Used my Sire U5 into the Rumble 500, which has more authority than the 100 combo I’ve used before. Next one there is in late August, so looking forward to that already.
  3. This seems to be a recurring feature at many gigs. Any mileage to be had using short-boom mic stands, such as this one..? Thomann : Mic stand ... ... or a goose neck instead of a boom..? Thomann : Goose Neck for mic stand... Just a thought. Any use, anyone..?
  4. Darkglass Vintage Microtubes, excellent condition, velcro on the underside, includes original box and rubber feet. Great pedal but I'm looking for a different flavour of drive. Looking for £115 including UK postage.
  5. Price dropped to £25 including UK postage for a fantastic high quality Di box that is only 3 months old with very light use.
  6. Mooer Fog Bass Fuzz Pedal, great condition, velcro on the underside, includes rubber back and box. £25 including postage.
  7. this^ we have just had a request for I Wanna Be Sedated for one of our gigs, they don't come any simpler than that but it's a great song and good fun to play IMO. It's one those where you think why is this simple song so good, I remember a quote for the Gay Moore when talking about great guitar riffs, "A great guitar riff is one that is so simple you think to yourself why didn't I think of that?"
  8. Frank's bass was one of the few you could actually hear, apart from Geezer's (with his massive purple Ashdown rig, which I now really want ) and Josh from Halestorm. Poor Rudy Sarzo deserved better in the all-star segments, he was completely buried in the mix.
  9. Love his work with the Mizell Brothers production duo. In particular the Gears album by Johnny Hammond from 1975.
  10. PM'd re envelope filter
  11. Last bump before payday on Friday..yay!
  12. Pedaltrain Jr Classic with softcase. Selling as I'm downsizing my board, so this is no longer required. Solid board, lightweight, and the bag's in pretty good nick. I mounted my Cioks power supply to it so there are a four badly drilled holes currently covered by the velcro. The velcro adhesive must have melted near a stage light and it dripped onto the paint on the back, but apart from that it's a goodun. Located in Devon. Can meet in person if nearby, or buyer decides on/pays for postage. Here's my feedback thread:
  13. Walrus Audio Canvas Mono DI/LI. Selling due to downsizing my board. Great little pedal with with switchable pad, ground lift, and summing options. Adds a nice bit of colour too! There's currently velcro on the back, but easy to remove cleanly. Located in Devon. Can meet in person if nearby, or buyer decides on/pays for postage. Here's my feedback thread:

  14. Line 6 HX Stomp XL, selling due to downsizing my board. It's in pretty good nick, it's spent the majority of its time on a pedalboard in a protective case. It currently has some custom and purchased presets on it, but I can reset it back to factory if preferred. It comes with velcro on the back, the rubber feet are in the box. Located in Devon. Can meet in person if nearby, or buyer decides on/pays for postage. Here's my feedback thread:
