  1. Past hour
  2. Oh boy, that's a beauty! I'm not looking to add to the herd right now, but... oh boy! GLWTS 👍
  3. There are already cases of this happening as well as voice overs artists getting turned down and AI being used instead. What we need is AI to do all the boring stuff like cleaning, ironing, putting the bins out so humans can have more time to do the creative stuff.
  4. These are already worth every penny when bought new. This decently priced used one is a lot of bass for little money.
  5. A Mark Bass LM3 was my first “proper” amp, and although I didn’t know it at the time, it was very important in my bass playing development. They do sit well in a live band mix, really well. I’ve never seen a band, where the bassist was using MB gear, where I thought the bass could have sounded better. Gary at Promenade Music, who’s probably one of the greatest bass players in the north west, swears by them, and my god he sounds good live (could be the Marleaux too). I like them, and my LM3 is only a mile away, and I reckon if he wants to sell it, I might buy it back. The only reservation I have is related to service/repair, so I was prepared to throw it away if it went wrong. Rob
  6. Thanks for the heads up on this and some good tips there, too. Forewarned is certainly forearmed. 👍
  7. I may well keep this after all; it’s provided some nice inspiration in the last 24 hours: Audio-995.mp3
  8. Circa 83/84 WAL custom lined fretless £740 with one of THE best bass heads ever produced and a custom 12" + 15" bass cab fitted with Peavey Black Widows. Both amp channels on with the top passive channel doing most of the low end and the bottom para EQ channel doing the mids. It was a very nice bass tone. With BLOCKBUSTARZ Glam band approx 2yrs ago i think. BLOCKBUSTARZ unmasked earlier this year 2024 at a photo shoot. We took this one for posterity. Back RHS being happy. With Emergency Exit Punk covers band 2023. Not the sharpest of pics i'm afraid.
  9. As per the title ! I seem to recall someone mentioning a repair person who was particularly good with these, but I'm darned if I can find the thread. My late 70s Jazz needs doing - any recommendations in the UK gratefully received. If in West Midlands area even better! Thanks in advance ☺
  10. I should add that it’s £50 including postage so it’s around a £15 saving overall from Amazon or Thomann
  11. Fully working M-Audio 88 key controller. Have used it loads with the Roland JV1010 also for sale. Velocity keys (not weighted) comes with a non original PSU and can probably chuck in a MIDI cable if I find it. Only fault is the little volume slider plastic top thing is missing but I might be able to stick something on although slider is still easy to use as the metal bit still sticks up. Can't post as no idea how to pack it. Pick up in Ashill, Norfolk. More clearout stuff to come.
  12. Having now done a little more research on current prices, I'm reducing these to £450 Decided to let these go as I don't have studio space any more, don't have time any more and it just seems a shame to leave them languishing in a box since the move back. I'm sure you know how good these are and how much they cost new. Best price I can find is £435 each but they seem to be out of stock. Shops that do have them, seem to be around the £495 mark. There seems to be one only on Ebay as of last night which is broken and sold as spares. A few working Mk1s but no Mk2s. They work perfectly, but as I no longer have the boxes , they've picked up a few light scuffs along the way which I have attempted to show in the pics rather than try and cover it up with auto dash-shine😂 Pretty impossible to post due to immense weight of these units so collection from Norfolk preferred however, if you sort the courier and insure them, I'll pack them to the best of my ability but the risk is yours.
  13. Both the same price, £120 each. Both work as they should. The B3K was recently repaired by a local amp tech and had a new foot switch (common failure). Both are early ones, hand built in Finland.
  14. Finally broke the back of V3 of the headless bass. I know it looks very similar to the last one but every single piece has been redesigned. Changes are: 1. Everything hangs off a t-shaped backbone. This simplifies the top and bottom body. It's also a lot stronger. It's also a lot quicker to make. 2. The body is no longer a Telecaster slab, but is contoured and rounded. This took a long time to design. It sounds simple but probably took five to six weeks just to get the curves right and then a new printer to work out how to print it. I probably went through ten rolls of filament to try and get it right. I can also print at 5% infill with no fears of bending. This makes it thinner and lighter, so it's 38mm rather than 45mm. I might also be able to get another 3mm off it as well. This should reduce pressure on the forearm. The only supports are around the edge for the bottom curve and thats it. 3. The Ventori are significantly larger. The strength is still there, I can't bend it, but it's quicker to print and looks nice (at least to me). They are the same size (ish), just different zoom settings. 4. The internal construction has changed to make it easier to print. I can now print it and leave it as opposed to having to do things to it. I use plastic dowels to ensure things line up now. This should make glueing things not quite the exciting venture into the unknown as it used to be. 5. The accuracy and quality is massively better with the new printer (which is still a pain in parts). I'm now printing down at 0.1mm which is 3x thinner than before. I don't actually need to sand anything now 6. A lot of prints were printed to test. This is all of the same sodding piece to test various wrong ideas out. Now to order some more aluminium for the backbone. I really could do with a CNC pillar drill, but am not doing that. Need to finalise the electrics. @neepheid and @JohnH89 I might be picking your brains if thats OK? Good progress though Rob
  15. This is not doing my GAS any good Very nice colour combo !!!
  16. Eden Nemesis cab 2x10 Works as it should. Some signs of age but it sounds great
