  1. Past hour
  2. Ha! Truth is, I’d love to use a P for the earlier stuff, but as the guitar / keys lads have a lot of switching around to do, it’s left to me to do a lot of the between-song chat.
  3. Hi everyone. just a feeler here to gauge interest. These amps need little introduction from me - seen on stages all over the world. Effortless power and huge tone DB751’s are becoming more and more difficult to source so here is a chance to own one of the world’s best amps. Fully functioning and comes in a sleeve. Very good condition with a couple of marks on the sleeve but the amp is in great condition i will post but it’s a heavy beast Inly trade I would consider is a Genzler Magellan ( or kinetix) 800 Thanks for looking Any questions, just ask Cab is not included in price !!!
  4. Don't know how much it is for the Birmingham one but it's inside the CAZ which affects a couple of us. So we rehearse at one which is 200m outside the CAZ.
  5. Hopefully, they'll get some less arrogant and more customer-focused staff as part of the move. Every interaction I've had with the one has been "sub-optimal". I wouldn't employ him to sell plectrums let alone high end spendy bass gear.
  6. I have two hands, I save both.
  7. Maid In Heaven - Be Bop Deluxe
  8. There's actually a red 4 string on ebay, a '97 with Suhr electronics, with no bids at £669. I have no idea why no-one is biting. Looks like the same one on reverb and dropped to around £850. Markets are weird.
  9. The purpose of FRFR cabs is different. They serve GREAT duty, they provide excellent comfort and greatest monitoring, but I cannot agree that they can provide a decent sound (compared to typical amplifiers, that usually are terrible at monitoring duties and not comfortable). I directly and thoroughly compared 1000W FRFR Fender ToneMaster cab paired Quad Cortex to quite cheap guitar tube amps like Marshall DSL and JetCity 50 with 412 and... well, the Cortex + ToneMaster performance was a joke.
  10. I bought a mixer from John. Everything was easy and this man packs beautifully.
  11. I’m Sorted now
  12. After getting outbid on the BG-208 on eBay last night, I just got one for £160, pickup in Sheffield which means I can go visit one of my mates over there!
  13. Absolutely fantastic that! And not a P bass in sight 😲🤓 The whole set up there is fabulous, and I've heard the staff are superb too, looks and sounds great 😜
  14. Alright then, eighty quid to you.
  15. Cheers! It really is. Here's a clip. Bass sounds exactly as I want. Flatwounds FTW!
  16. Great work so far 👍🏼
  17. Trades - X Touch Universal, maybe Alto TS215. Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Not a heavy bass. Plays well. Not really any damage to speak of. There’s a little bit at the top of the headstock (photographed) but looks much worse than it actually is. I’ve removed the strap lock pins and replaced them with the originals that were odd when I got it. The case is old but fully function and all the clasps work. Can post at buyers expense or can be collected from BB22SH Any questions please ask.

  18. That IS a nice Fender.
  19. Come on Man! It's Judeo Christian prog! I mean, I don't know what that's supposed to sound like but still......
  20. I saw that one! update soon
  21. My eye (yes, I have two. Don't worry...) was caught by the cool looking lever at the top of the bridge - does this amazingly manly bass have a lever that deploys the string mutes? Bet MusicMan wish they'd thought of that before adding those fiddly tiny metal round screws under the bridges of Classic Stingrays. Seriously impressed by the intonation calibration markings on the bridge as well. If Bang & Olufsen made basses, they would make basses like this.
  22. Have you ever considered a different hobby?
  23. Very little used since Covid, time to move it on. Comes with all the little bits of cabling etc. Condition is as near pristine as you're likely to find. Full specs are here: https://philjonesbass.net/cms/product-ha-1/

  24. Very decent piece of rack gear, equally suitable for studio or live use (I've used it both ways). The two multi-way cable clips on top are there by self-adhesive stuff and will remove. I found them useful enough to choose to leave them there for the new owner. The original box is present, as seen in the photos, but not the polystyrene inserts. I'll use bubble wrap for postage.
