I have contemplated nicking one of the Aldi ones and figuring out how to drive it to make a display for some sort of project, but am both too honest and too lazy.
  3. Invisible Man - Queen
  4. We needed some slow songs, and ive played My girl for years, always gone down well. Stupidly I suggested this to my current band. Yeah, the bas line is simple, but ive never really taken notice of the brass and stings before. As im on keys I now have not learn as much of this as I can. Obviously I'll dumb it down as I cant play it all, but I really should have thought this through first.
  5. Would consider trades for a medium or short scale something, or a EUB. What do you have?
  6. Would possibly trade one of them for a Mark bassTraveler 121H or NY1x12 cab.
  7. Didn't realise you were singing it too. That's a whole different ball game. All the best with it and i'm sure you'll get to a point where it just "clicks". Dave
  8. Documentation and original Warwick folder / toolset, since a fellow basschatter asked. The bass has Schaller straplocks on it now (installed by me just using the original drill holes), but the original Warwick straplocks are included in the sale.
  9. IIRC the Fender Roscoe Beck had a Pau Ferro board. And they're quite desirable.
  10. Some systems run from solar power driven by the store's lighting. The updates are delivered by RF. The display method is incidental, but you're right in saying that obviating any kind of printing yields improvements in accuracy, material and labour costs.
  11. It's a total scrotum singing it and playing it because there's no obvious rhythm to the text. I am slowly getting there though, but I may have to rely on a Music Stand when we do it...
  12. We got as far as getting it almost gig ready, but the singer just couldn't get his head round the timing of the lyrics. I generally use it when soundchecking the bass though, so it gets everyone's attention......😎😁🤘
  13. He was a really chilled nice person. It was so so hot in the venue. I hadn’t seen them before but when I saw the kind of music they do I just bought the tickets. Well work the money. I’ll have to check out medeski martin and wood.
  14. Cannae beat a good Stranglers bass line. I used to play that as my sound check with the punk band every now and again. Dave
  15. the V7 is a nice amplifier no issues at the moment. one year old
  16. Natural 'n Black Hardware with Blocks sounds nice...
  17. I have put together and painted a Daphne Blue nitro sprayed Jazz Bass with nitro gloss clearcoat. There are a couple of very tiny paint imperfections on the body (wind blown specs of dust as it was sprayed outside) which are not noticeable unless it is under your nose and in the right light. Overall, as you can see from the photos, the paint finish is very good. There is also a thread in the builds section where I talk about these. Spec; Weight 9.4lbs New Okoume body with nitro finish New 20 fret polyester coated roasted Maple neck with block inlays and colour matched headstock face Fretboard edges rolled and frets dressed for a lovely smooth playing experience New Wilkinson M series pickups New Bloodstone Guitarworks wiring with CTS pots with volume/volume/tone New Guyker tuners Schaller type strap buttons Gotoh Bridge New White pearl pick guard with plastic still on New D’addario EXL165 .45 - .105 strings New Donner gig bag The action is lovely and the bass sounds and plays like a dream. I am passionate about building good looking but very gigable basses that I would want to own. In fact, I like this bass so much, I am planning to start another one for my own collection. It is really important to me that anyone that buys my basses is happy with their purchase so having a test play on collection is absolutely allowed and encouraged. I want you to go away happy. If you have any questions or want more photos to help make a decision to buy then do not hesitate to get in touch. Collection from Fleet, Hampshire and I often WFH so this can potentially be during the day in the week as well.

  18. I love an Ibanez and have 2 of my own. The 600 would look fantastic with a refinish. I think I am going roasted maple neck with black block inlays. That will work with the pickguard and black hardware.

  20. One of the above, good working order, Velcro on bottom. £50 inc postage in UK.

  21. If postage ever becomes an option please DM me @Lozz196 and let me know, this would have sold within a week if it had been I think
  22. Lovely looking bass. As well as the truss-rod, do these have carbon rods reinforcing the neck?
  23. Long way for you to travel, sir. Hope it goes well.
  24. Thats a miracle of Lazarus-like proportions Pete! God only knows how they did it…
  25. In the 80s/90s I used a 150W Laney Probass. Imagine anyone daring to call a 150W head 'pro' these days!
  26. That's my favourite thing to do as well. I spend far too long getting parts perfect rather than getting good enough fast.
  27. I bought some cheap powered speakers from Thomann. To their credit they give RMS power as well as the manufacturers claimed power. "Power: 600 W Peak / 140 W (RMS)"
