Morning All I have a Gibson SG Bass and would like a good quality soft case so I can get it in my car boot (out of sight). A Fellow BC'r suggested the Gator Icon guitar bag. Whilst looking at this I saw another bag which designed for loner 6 string guitars, which offered good protection. So I contacted the Retailer to ask if they could try the base in the said bag (both were in stock). However, I was informed that they do not provide this service request. I could purchase the bag and return it if it was not suitable. If I had gone to the shop I would have asked to check the fit before buying, so see little difference in the fact that the purchase was online. I wasn't impressed, or ids it just me? Cheers Charla

I find fender stuff laughably mediocre for the money, especially as you go up their ranges, the CS stuff being Hurracan money for a Hyundai Elantra equivalent. The options they give are fairly limited and the price so high, hard pass. I'd rather build my own from Warmoth. I've owned a ton of them over time, and played more, but I don't think I'd spend my own hard earned on one if I was after something like they offered.

Fundamentally you need to look at the festival itself. They love a 'legend'. I'd wager that there were thousands of people gushing over AM that probably knew one song (if that) or hadn't even given her a second thought in the last 20 years. She still has a voice like nails on a blackboard. Some things don't improve with age.

They make a greater break angle possible than extra wraps, consistent with the E, D and G strings if positioned correctly and, of course, the more wraps you have around the post the more opportunity you have for tuning instability. OP, regardless of the bass you could just bite the bullet and get one of these. That Fender still persist with bad design for the sake of retro authenticity is one of life's great mysteries. Don't value aesthetics over functionality. https://www.public-peace.de/hipshot-string-retainer-3-strings.html

A few notes misplaced in terms of tempo, especially in the beginning and the end ... that has always been chaotic that said, but, yeah, what a leader he was and what a tune. My all time favourite of The Who. Thanks for sharing, never heard it before too.

Hi @brickers I've used DR low riders and Fat Beams, but not high beams, so can't make a direct comparison. Compared to those I'd say the dragon skin plus last longer but not dramatically so, like elixirs do. I much prefer the feel over elixirs though - but I guess that's an entirely personal thing.

Cool little amp for home-practice or small-medium gigs. It’s only had light home use with me, and so is in as-new condition and boxed. Part-ex’s in the form of a Guild Starfire II in ‘Natural’ or a Sire P5R 5 string in white welcome! Collection preferred from near High Wycombe, but can post for £7. Cheers Si

Peterson combo driver upgrade (and related plywood boxes)
Downunderwonder replied to Pea Turgh's topic in Amps and Cabs
Plug in cab volume. Plug in driver if your version supports the Beyma. If not, give it the T/S specs from the datasheet. Tell it you have a tuning of 50hz and two 4" round ports. It will tell you the length, also the port velocity and response chart and displacement chart for whatever wattage you input. It's a big enough box you might get away with a lower tuning. -
Hi Good morning Thank you very much for sharing the data on Dean Edge fretless basses, which is very helpful and informative. My apologies for not responding sooner. Thanks Steve
