  1. Past hour
  2. I've just found out these are two different shades of gold. The "Donald Trump" bass is Liquid Gold ( on the right), the other bass is Molten Gold, which doesn't look quite as bad to me. It's hard to tell with such scant images. You would think if EBMM wanted to show these basses off they would supply some better pictures, i.e so we could see what these basses actually look like on the cold light of day rather than treating us as if they are doing us a favour letting us look.

  4. Ive been looking for a comparison video, tonepump vs Haz. Is there anything out there?
  5. Final price drop £62 posted for this wonderful delay (was pretty much £200 new)
  6. My dream basses have varied over the years, but once bought have never been an’quite like as good as the dream to be honest
  7. As Deep As Any Burial - Cradle of Filth
  8. We do Fortunate Son as per Clutch but as it’s a short song we added a solo at the end into an extra chorus and then end
  9. Could cause damage if not careful coz your pushing the furell out from the back..
  10. Hah, good spot! The band name is Temptation Waits, named from the Garbage song. Oddly we only do one of theirs just now, Only Happy When It Rains.
  11. I don't. I have a 33" that sounds great. It's more about construction and the string. All of my 34" are fine too. I'd look for a second hand Ibanez SR or BTB. There are a ton of them out there in various finishes and even some PU configs beyond Barts and Nordy soapbars like my SR655 if you want a PJ.

    New amp

As the successor to the Tecamp Puma 900, the Eich T900 would get my vote.
  13. All of my 5s are 34" scale length and they seem fine.
  14. I use a rubber handled screwdriver from the back...
  15. They went flying off the shelves when they first came out and not everyone will get on with 5 strings and/or headlesses. Or they may find the neck profile not entirely to their liking, or the sound.
  16. Im currently in a band that rehearse in the singers living room. We have a drum kit (thats has dampening pads) and the two guitars use smallish amps but we dont play too loud I go through an old Peavey 150watt 1x15 combo, but it's kept in the adjacent room, with plants on top lol. Im loath to turn it up as it's in a glass conservatory so the neighbours will get annoyed. I can hear it ok most of the time. Singer won't let me move it before you mention it. The issue I have is before it's a room away, there is a lack of definition by the time it gets to my ears. I can use EQ, but that still wouldn't fix the glass room and reflections issue. Anyway, im thinking of getting the above speaker that I can use in the same room as the band. Play quieter, get heard with a bit less bloom. I was looking at things like the Joyo 30watt but this seems more practical. Just wondered if anyone has any thoughts. I will never need to gig it or use it in a larger rehearsal room, I have other things for that, but this seems small and cheap enough that I'll just leave it at the singers house.

  18. Its standard in metal to tune lower than standard. Its the only way to get a really heavy sound. Tuning down to from E to C is pretty common. I played in a couple bands that tuned down to A#. My current band is in standard and it's too high to get really doomy.

  20. It isn't too clear as the website seems to say contradictory things. I would generally think 'EQ bypass switch' means the battery powered preamp for volume is still on but the EQ section is bypassed (not ideal if you want a backup for a dead battery, or if you prefer a passive tone, or want to keep a cable plugged in without battery loss), but then it also says "The master tone control operates in both active and passive mode." So that suggests there is a passive/active switch. https://www.ibanez.com/eu/news/detail/20250930143736.html
  21. Thought of a 2nd i've always fancied. A Barrington, First time i saw one of these was on the cover of Randy Covens (R.I.P.) Funk Me Tender, Ghost built by ESP (before they were ESP) never seen one this side of the pond
  22. Based on German Warwicks (I have two) and EBMM SR5's (I've had a few) I really wouldn't pay too much attention to the scale length. I tried a Lakland Skyline 55-02 in Guitar Guitar recently and the B string on that example sounded awful to my ear. There are good and bad B strings in every scale length. I personally believe it's for mainly for marketing purposes.
  23. Good price for one of these excellent pedals. @charlietuna
  24. Yep, I've tried that position but just couldn't get on with it personally. Still, for anyone else they should give it a go. Might work for them 🤔
