Impending retirement means that I need to de-clutter, beginning with some of my beloved basses. This one is a cracker and was bought as my "forever" bass-sigh!. Although a short scale it it is a bit of a bulldog, by that I mean that it is solid and the chunky. It is also versatile bass with loads of punch and this one has the "premium" flame top. Lots of top players love these and as a result they are pretty rare beasts. I managed to find a Supro soft case that fits it, which is included. The pictures are from when I bought it from Bass Direct but it is exactly the same as it has only rarely been played and has never left my house! Here some blurb! The Supro 2041 Huntington 1 is a newly-designed, short-scale bass combining the classic body shape of the early ‘60s Ozark model with vintage-correct passive electronics and sonic inspiration from the Supro Pocket Bass of the same era. The unique Gold Foil pickup found in the Huntington I bass is an authentic replicas of the original “Clear-Tone” pickups found in the vintage Supro Violin, Taurus and Pocket Bass models. This high-output single coil delivers legendary, deep low-end, with very low noise and a massive, broadband sound that stays warm and balanced across the entire range of the instrument. QSC CP12 Active PA Speaker 1000 Watts One of two - priced individually or for a small discount if sold as a pair. This speaker is as new and has not been used since purchase. It comes with additional QSC waterproof cover for outdoor use. Very powerful speakers however I’m downsizing and selling my larger portable PA gear. Street price is £579 cheapest I can find so this is a good saving. The covers cost an extra £67. The user manual is included. I have two of these for sale. I can knock off £40 if you buy the pair. Apparently, the Modulus made early necks were a myth (rrp of a modulus neck was almost as much as the rrp of the G Bass), and they are not actually carbon necks as marketed, they have a maple core with a carbon wrap. Still cracking basses for the money of course, but really interesting marketing choice from Peavey; the manual literally says it's a Carbon Graphite neck with no mention of it being mostly wood. Crazy but there you go. Still want it!

I have been trying various brands of strings on a number of basses, whilst these are very nice I'm going to Dunlop's for my fretted Warwick. To my ears the Eden's seem similar to Rotosounds, maybe not quite as 'zingy' initially.

Reduced to £50. Kent Armstrong Bass Humbucker for a 4 string bass. Circa 1990 when I purchased new and still in excellent condition and virtually unmarked. It's been in two of my basses over the last 35 years and sounds great. I think these were handmade, add £7.00 for UK insured postage.
