  1. Past hour
  2. I took off the battery cover and screwed the four screws int the body recess until flush. Then I glued four neodymium magnets into the sfrew holes in the cover. Simples!
  3. Settling with my Anagram and found a NAM profile(Tech21 Red Ripper) that can do something similar so this one must go. Updating price to £380 only this week as of Aug 7 2025. Bought from the US including postage and customs. Paid more than my selling price. Only thing missing is the pink paper packaging wrap, won’t affect the tone though 😂 Any questions, feel free to message me. Chad
  4. Possibly, but I suspect that if you told any engineering minded person that you wanted a nut with adjustable string height then 80% would come up with either the two screw tilting nut idea, or the 4/5/6 screw individual string adjustment idea. The rest would probably suggest shims.
  5. McCormacks and CC Music in Glasgow. Bought a laney 4x10 amp & cab from the former and they delivered it in their branded van. Bought the a JV precision and later a JV jazz from CC music in early 80s
  6. Apparently, the Modulus made early necks were a myth (rrp of a modulus neck was almost as much as the rrp of the G Bass), and they are not actually carbon necks as marketed, they have a maple core with a carbon wrap. Still cracking basses for the money of course, but really interesting marketing choice from Peavey; the manual literally says it's a Carbon Graphite neck with no mention of it being mostly wood. Crazy but there you go. Still want it!
  7. Nicely priced, I just wish I had something to install it on.
  8. Iconic store in the Teesside area. and also an early workplace of the legendary Jim Cairnes.
  9. Fabulous, & as usual in a different time zone 😭😆
  10. Yeah I don't think mine was flat just sounded nice/ok to me . I'll try your settings....it's good to fiddle around
  11. We’ll see how it goes down with the coal-villeins. They say coalvillians, I think my name is nearer the truth @Count Bassy
  12. Less than 50p a kilo, bargain. This is a beautiful bass.
  13. Today
  14. I bought these for a project that never happened, used but in good condition, £90 £70 including delivery to UK addresses
  15. Matt was very patient with courier issues when buying some tuners from me! Easy communications and plenty of good humour. Very much appreciated Matt. Pete
  16. I keep coming back to this. I love the clean lines and simplicity, but sadly the colour's really not for me. It's got me thinking how much would a refin cost! 🤔 GLWTS.
  17. That reminds me, I did have one break on me - one of the telescopic sections blew past its stop (because I was being a twit and I helped gravity plus the heaviest part with the legs to extend it at great speed) and bits of it came flying out and disappeared on a dark stage - oops! I reported this to them via the shop I bought it from (possibly glossing over how it came to break, lol) and it was a no quibble straight replacement - send the broken one back and they sent me a new one right away. Seems like they stand by their products, and idiots like me! Yeah, so don't do that then
  18. Thanks, Mokl. I was running two as a vertical stack – best live sound I've ever had!
  19. The seal is as important as driver count IME when it comes to low end.
  20. Anyone tried comply tips? I didn't even bother using the standard. Have used these on all my non 'gigging' headphones forever so know I get a great fit. Aim once I sell my SVT Skunkworks head is to go custom. Really like the description of the Lugs SI - Dynamic Hybrid (2x Dynamic drivers and 1x High)
  21. Yup, it arrived in late June, so past the point of no return now. Thanks for the suggestion. I've got a Mike Pope preamp sitting in the drawer, though... 🤔
  22. I just received some Hipshot Licensed Ultralite tuners from Pete. Guy's a legend - I was a bit brassed at the end of last month because the car's MOT was a bit of a sair one. Pete very kindly agreed to keep a set of tuners back for me for a week or so until pay day. Deal done, tuners arrived (eventually - courier snafu, not Pete's fault) and I can crack on with my project. Thanks Pete!
  23. I’ve used K&M stands for years, well worth the money and you can almost always get spare parts for them.
  24. Greatest speaker to improve any TC Electronic with 8 inches speakers. GLWYS.
  25. I’ll try that, but my above seemed closest to me.
