Not even if you Caine them! 😄

It's now December 31st. I might order a bass in a minute, as a year without buying anything music related just doesn't feel right. My left eye keeps twitching and I've developed stammer. 😁

For as long as I have been designing with class D modules, over 50% of the claims of a bad module have proven to be incorrect diagnostics… sometimes running as high as 80% incorrect diagnostics.

Which means that at some point the band will need to do a full technical rehearsal with all the equipment including the PA that they intend to use at gigs so you can definitely see if there are any problems.

Surfin' Bird! - The Cramps

The D4 will be far superior sounding, but I think it might lack the weight you need in situations where there is no PA support. I'm a PJB user and love them, but I'm under no illusions about their abilities. The volume they produce is remarkable for their size, but two 4" drivers aren't going to blow the bloody doors off, although they will sound lovely.

No idea! But I did replace the 15" in my Yamaha folded horn 1x15 with a Precision Devices 600w unit, which was quite an upgrade!
-
As a PJB user, I can assure you it's simple. Unbolt the grille and you can remove the bolts that hold the drivers in place. Just make sure you note the way connections are made to the drivers (the C8, like my C4s, has them wired series/parallel). There is stuffing in the cab, which will have absorbed the smoke and will not respond to leaving vinegar nearby or similar.

Yeah I will once again be taking on the role of soundman in this group and when we do it will be with my nice digital mixer that has a lot of control, through nice speakers, in nice rooms. Unfortunately the rehearsal rooms we use tend to have crummy analogue mixers with '3 band at best' eq per channel and nothing else. It's not that I don't know how to use a DI, it's that I don't know if the lackluster sound we've had over the past few weeks has been because the DI solution inherently isn't working for us, or if it's actually a perfectly fine solution being hampered by the crummy pa in a crummy room.

I know that's why I did it. I'm starting a small business of guitar repair, electronic repair, Auto repair, and really anything just broke Denise fixed. Bring it up Bubba Lee owner of Evil Genius Creations. I do things to guitars and basses. That people tell me they can't be done like that it has to be this way or has to be that way you got to use this value capacitor with that value potentiometer. I asked if they could show me where it says it has to be done exactly like this it cannot be done like that. I've gotten into a 9 hour conversation on Reddit. For installing 100K potentiometers with a 6800 uF capacitor. I posted it Reddit just to see what I can stir up. The next thing I know I'm in a conversation at last 9 freaking hours. So you figure out how to put the battery in a p Bass without having to cut too much off the body to install the battery cover.

What are your irrational prejudices? I have some bonkers ones...

Try the ones from Home Bargains. Excellent value for money and decent quality. I think of them as the incontinence equivalent of Elites bass strings or Sire basses. -

I got a g Larry generic {P bass}. That I bought from Temu a little over a year ago for $75. A few months back I bought a blended two band active preamp from Temu."I was planning on installing it in my jazz bass. Since it came on the [Jazz]control plate." Where would I put the battery in my P bass? Is what you are asking me. The battery will sit underneath the pickguard. I done routed out part of the body underneath the pickguard. Everything fits under there like it was meant to be there. I figured out why I keep getting the hissing sound. Even though I seen it many times online. When I was looking for ideas on different wiring for guitars and basses. Active preamps or pickups the ground wire goes in to the ground on the upper Jack right? Then you got another ground that comes off that output Jack straight to the ground right? I removed the original output Jack. Because I believe that it was actually a little bit too long for my generic p-bass. So I replaced it with the mono output Jack. When I read or watch the video about preamps and action pickups and all that. You need a stereo output Jack to run active preamps and pickups right? That is why I was getting the hissing sound. I learned one big thing though. It had a 500K pot for the volume. (I actually do not like 500K potentiometers!)Well I replaced the mono TS pot for I switched mono output Jack. That is what I was holding in my hand took a picture of. I also had to replace the MN 250k blend pot. I put the same value potentiometer in place of the blend pot that came out. The only reason why I did that. Is because the blend pot that came with the preamp. Had a little small circuit board attached to it. Diodes capacitors resistors semiconductors conductors attach ed to the circuit board that was attached to the blend pot. I hope that me summarizing of what I said last night or early this morning. Kind of clear things up for y'all. If not I'm sorry I apologize. This s*** I've been through in my entire 48 years on this planet.

I find with the artists mentioned here , what works for me is to watch them sparingly . I’ve watched a basinful of Charles Berthoud , and don’t bother much these days if at all. I was searching for Michael manring the other day to see what he’s up to . Then I found a couple of really nice clips of manring and Berthoud together which was really nice to watch. I do like Davie , and noted he had a battle with you tube which was worrying for him. I saw a few clips of him in different countries trying out basses in his usual humour and that was entertaining for me . Sapko I’m finding grating and not really my bag . Too shouty like an aggressive George formby for my ears . Too clickbaity ! Last of all ..Scott Devine ! I used to follow him a few years back . Very open , down to earth etc . Then the little irritating reminders in the middle of clips to sign up . He just seems to be over the top clickbaity now ! Captions about why 5 strings are crap etc with his face looking at me . I understand that there are trends that these YouTubers have to compete with others incase they miss out ,but not for me so I won’t click on anything like that.I have unsubscribed from a couple of music sites because of YouTubers copying the jokey style of others that are about as funny as James Corden or Russell Brand . It’s a shame that it’s all about algorithms..
