  2. This sale is for an almost new Line 6 Helix LT. It was bought new by me in December 2025 direct from Yamaha music. It has only been used at home and is in virtually immaculate condition. The screen still has its protective film in place and the unit is in full working order. It is fully complete with power cable, USB cable, cheat cards/manual, Allen key, and all of the original packaging that it was delivered with. The glossy out cover is not included as it must have been removed by Yamaha music prior to posting. I am happy to post tracked and insured, with Royal Mail or you are welcome to collect from me in Leicester. UK sales only please and payment through eBay. Thanks for looking

  3. Andy, should I put a cloth over the fretless board to prevent burning and should it be damp in this case also, the dowel holes, I can only really do through the nut slot, that's right isn't it?

  6. My research was over several weeks, mostly online. In the end, I suggested to the guitarguitar Birmingham branch staff to widen my scope/ budget. I knew almost the moment I tried the Lakland that it was the one to start with
  7. Absolutely love the tone you are getting, you are about six months ahead of me on the double bass trail and I have enjoyed your videos over the last year and a half of my journey. Well done Jonny
  8. March 2021 I got an unlined 2EQ Stingray for NZ$2400 thats approx 1050 UK Pound I think there is a 0% chance of securing another one at that price

  11. Yeah they’re lovely bodies, let me know if you want me to send it down 😉
  12. It's interesting what you say about your PEB. I have been told that the quality control there wasn't everything it should have been from time to time. Something you hear much more about CBS era Fenders, but not so much Musicman.
  13. Excellent stuff and Barefaced stuff is excellent. An unfortunate mix up but all is well in the end which is the main thing. Enjoy the rig buddy

  15. Great sounding, lovely playing and not too heavy 76 Jazz bass. It’s been in my possession for the last 23 years and I toured with it for 18 years hence a few battle scars which in no way affect its playability. It’s nicely lived in ! CTS pots date to 1976 and serial number bears this out. You will see in the photos that it has a mark on the maple board however this does not affect the way that it feels or plays. Its a good honest old bass that you’re welcome to come and try out anytime and it’s currently strung with LTFs.

  16. Being a soft southern Jessie, it's not a phrase I've come across before, would you care to elaborate? Bearing in mind that this is a family show, of course.

  18. Hi ! It is not the best configuration here, I'm playing too hard when I'm soloing. Well, I share it if it can inspire someone who is beginning the double bass like me in a self-taught way.
  19. I think I get it now………..the sandblasting removed the frets?
  20. Also worth mentioning that the phrase 'you tube' has a slightly different meaning up here north of Hadrian's Wall...
  21. It seems like I've been on an eternal journey trying to 'find the right octave pedal' and I've had, and tried quite a few (see my list below and comments) and just wondered what people might recommend, or even if I should revisit old ones from my list with different suggested settings. My remit, to achieve the Pino octave sound on 'Tear your playhouse down', or Tony Levin's 'Sledgehammer' and I realise both were done on Fretless bass and the latter had a healthy dose of compression, and possibly chorus, or Guy Pratt's sound on Pink Floyd's 'Sorrow' and the middle section of 'Like a Prayer'. So, I'm not interested in the sub, synthy sounds, or even having an Octave Up, so pretty straightforward and a nice rounded, smooth, and strong octave down sound that I hear on recordings with an OC-2. On that note, I wonder, could this be the one and should I seek out an MIJ one, but as you can see, the MIT ones didn't get me there and hands up, I have to make an allowance for my own shortcomings and human error. If using a compressor, should it come before or after the Octaver and would adding some boost before it enhance the octave sound?? Boss OC-3 and OC-5 - I never felt the octave sound was strong enough and didn't achieve the OC-2 sound I wanted Pearl OC-7 - my friend has an old one and this gets close, but it glitchier than most and I found differences between the same pedals Aguilar Octamiser - I never felt the octave sound was strong enough and didn't like the tone MXR ones - too gritty and didn't like the tone Zoom B1xOn & B3 - good units but the octave sounds were never great or a strong point EBS ones (Octabass and Triple Mode) - the latter was more versatile but once again, it didn't have the right tone OC-2 - I had a MIJ years ago which sounded very good on guitar (wasn't a bassist then), but MIT I've tried are too glitchy and I'm not really going below a low A in all examples Source Audio Spectrum - Fun but not nailing the purer octave sound HX Stomp - I've just picked one up and the Boctaver sounds promising I heard a really good one that was in-built in an Ashdown Amp (sub-harmonic generator) and I've just seen they do a pedal, which I've not tried Any recommendations outside the list for a standalone pedal that I should look at or decent OC-2 clones without the glitching? Many thanks
  22. I love this thing. The only reason I’m listing this is because I’d like to get the newest version. That is a lot more expensive so I need to recoup some funds towards it, otherwise I’d keep this too and use on a second board. In excellent condition, with a few cosmetic marks as pictured. No box, power supply or MIDI breakout cable though (which is how it came to me).
