  3. Following some interesting conversations with friends who play in bands and thinking about my own various dynamics with bands, what level of input, control or influence do you have in the bands you play in? Are you an occasional dep, turn up, do your thing and go home, are you the creative force and band leader that gets the bookings, makes all the decisions and leads from the front or, are you, as most of us will be, somewhere in between and if so, what does your in between look like? What's the dynamic? Where on the scale are you?
  4. Seymour Duncan SCPB-3 Quarter Pound Single Coil P-Bass Pickup. I bought this new a few years ago and never used it. Postage at cost. Details here: https://www.seymourduncan.com/single-product/quarter-pound-single-coil-p-bass
  5. @handman got one ordered a few days after that last message, £25 + p&p for a 5 string gen1 maple board neck. 4 month lead time for mine though...
  6. Great strings for reggae, Motown or any old school style. Distinctive purple silks, unused in original package. I also have a hardly used matching 5th string - 126 gauge available for an additional fiver if required. Price includes UK postage.

  7. Originally released on Vinyl, we also wanted it as a gatefold cover but the record company wouldn't cost it for that so here is what it would have looked like as a gatefold cover.....
  8. What back tracks for bass that are good
  9. Holy crap, thats a looker 😍
  10. Sure, not exactly what you'd call a bargain-priced practice amp, but it's worth every penny...and it's louder than my friend's Fender Rumble 100 no matter the volume setting. My friend didn't want to admit it but he was definitely green with envy. Funny thing is, he laughed when I walked through the door with it...he thought it was one of those plastic battery-powered amps like the Laney NX or the Blackstar Fly. He couldn't believe it when I plugged in.

  12. Due to low ticket sales and reduced fees for all concerned, this gig is now cancelled. Can’t say that I’m too sad about it. That’s me for the year now, unless something else comes in.

  16. Just picked this up, thanks I havent really pushed it to be honest but will give that a try
  17. Yeah, I’m about to retire (from work, not playing bass!) and thinking of buying it. 🤔😂
  18. Impending retirement means that I need to de-clutter, beginning with some of my beloved basses. A Beautiful bass bought from here in 24, with a great sound, which I am just not using much. It is the real deal with gorgeous looks and construction in my honest opinion. Someone out there will love it. It is also loud enough to practice with without an amp IMHO! Happy to post as it comes with a generic hard case that fits archtop basses "The Gretsch G5442BDC Electromatic Hollow Body Short Scale bass guitar has a comfortably short scale at 30.25", and is armed with two powerful "Black Top" Filter'Tron™ bass pickups, giving it an electrifying deep-end voice and identity. The double-cutaway hollow and bound body offers full bass tone and balance, and is finished in Transparent Red." Note: I have been asked about neck dive, just in case you are worried about that this is my answer. "I can't say that it has bothered me,. Being an true hollow body/archtop It is very light and hangs horizontally, but it feels normal to rest my right arm on the body, which pushes the neck upwards to a comfortable, natural playing position. It also feels good sitting down. I imagine that the longer scale Gretsch hollows may have serious neck dive". G5442BDC Spec sheet.pdf

    Darkglass Anagram

what do you think the plan is with 3rd party blocks? If I were Darkglass it almost would make sense to focus on the drives and comp (which Darkglass are known for) and let others develop the other stuff?
