  1. Past hour
  2. Woof, nope never to old. Drop me a pm
  3. The USA Fenders did improve from 2012. Japan’s reputation has been consistently high since it started with the JV series.
  4. It is VERY loud. The 300 and the 600 watt amps shared the same transformer too so it’s super clean all the way. it’s currently in my rehearsal space but will weigh it tomorrow. thanks
  5. Following. That's a great looking, tasteful instrument and no doubt it sounds and plays as well as it looks. An excellent tribute.
  6. Great private party gig last night celebrating a 40th and an 80th so wide age range watching. Outdoors in the garden of one of the local farmhouses and all up for a good time. Only the 5th gig of the new band but they liked us so much that they paid us more than the agreed going rate. Same happened last at last gig so we must be doing something right. First outing of my s-s Sandberg Cali since new Aguilar pickup set fitted. Much more heft that OE pups. Didn't realise just how much in fact. No need to engage the 'deep' button on my Mesa D800+ from now on methinks. So nice to see all the old folks having such a good time. That includes me btw 🙂
  7. One of our own - haven't recorded it yet but it's essentially a 12 bar blues with a couple odd turn arounds added for interest. We also do a walking bassline on the chorus of the old classic "You are mighty".
  8. Steven - Alice Cooper
  9. Today
  10. If you're playing old hymns then they're written for an organ, so long low notes are just fine. Weird problem with my IEMs today, just making party flappy noises anything lower than the open D. Swapped the IEM amp and phones but same problem. I gave up and just listed to the room, as it sounded great out front.
  11. Seagull - Joe Bonamassa
  12. Over My Head - King's X
  13. The next gig for Hurtsfall is: Pride Day Celebration on Saturday 26th July at Rough Trade in Nottingham. Free entry. We're on at 3.00pm.
  14. Nice amp. I always like them when I hear them. Sadly, I, like you, need 2 ohm capability, so GLWTS.
  15. Hey folks I’m interested in anyone who is familiar with or using / have used the MarkBass LM IV amp and MB58R 102P cab ? Do they match well and would they handle jam sessions / gigs ? with a single guitarist and drummer ? I had years back the LM III and the Traveller 102 cab and they sounded nice. I like how light they are in the MBR 102P series and compact
  16. I'm selling this Bass Simplifier because I've just bought the Bass Master. The price includes UK postage. If you're interested, please drop me a message!

  17. I'm selling an Ampeg SGT-DI. There are some light marks on the black front panel, as you can see in the last pic, but it's in excellent condition otherwise. It comes with the original box but no power adapter. The price includes UK postage. If you're interested, please get in touch!

  18. Definitely this. Paying someone for an hour of their time (If you have a pal who knows their stuff, buy them a nice bottle) will be enormously helpful and you'll learn the basics in that hour. It's so much easier when someone shows you, rather than tells you, how it works. It's not hard, but the initial learning curve, especially the effect of eq and how to use it effectively, can be a little steep. Good luck.
  19. Hi Alan. Welcome, it’s a long road, just keep at it….
  20. Only made it as far as Wunjos today. Played a nice Ibanez BTB865 singlecut with the cheaper far eastern licenced Bart pickups, the BH2 model. Bass played and felt amazing but I'm scratching my head with regards to these cheaper Barts. I struggle with the real ones from America much less!!!
  21. Aye, that was great, have to do that again.
  22. Just to also add that despite the worldwide brand recognition (Fender) you will lose nothing by considering other brands out there.
  23. Currently got Dunlop flats on it, but I might fancy some rounds.
  24. Bought a great tuner pedal from Clarky. Great comms and pedal works splendidly. Recommended!
