  1. Past hour
  2. Tonex One pedal great condition, boxed. Amazing pedal. Every amp available and a large sharing community too. £95 delivered.
  3. I like the BOSS WL20, but if finding 2.4 an issue the NUX C-5RC works on 5.8 and is very good.
  4. That’s a bargain and decent cab for not a lot of money I think they sound decent too GLWTS 👍
  5. I spotted that too and nearly pointed it out until you said that the mystery £500 purchase had other leanings 👍
  6. While The little screws undo ... ( small security torx ), they did not seem to loosen the mounted connector inside the unit , some of the cables also appear to be hot glued to the PCB meaning while others are on fan header type connectors , it means Theres very little room to work , it was at that point I decided to cut my losses and take it back .
  7. I had a bit of a play with the seller last night, here is a portion of the conversation
  8. Having calmed down a bit I actually think that for my uses I'm best off to do synth stuff via my Keyboard, and if I want extra synth sounds I can control iPad or Laptop soft-synths via midi for next to no cost. Or there are very small and cheap midi controlled hardware options like the Behrniger mini and micro series (about £40 - £80), including the forthcoming Minimoog copy the 'D Mini' https://www.gearnews.com/behringer-d-mini-synth/ I do love playing synth Bass via a Bass guitar, but I suppose as I actually have a keybaord to do it that's probably the best option for me as there are always going to be limitations playing bass strings to be tracked and then turned into synth sounds vs pressing keys keys and having knobs and buttons to change by hand. I think I'll go the octaver+distortion+modulation+delays sort of route for Bass guitar synthy stuff.
  9. Just got this last month to power my Anagram and 2 pedals for a compact board I built. Realised I only need the Anagram now and needing funds for non gear related purchase I just made. This psu has 4 slots: three standard 9V/500mA and one high-current 9V/12V switchable 3A output. Can power any modellers. Includes an extra longer right angle IEC cable. Got it from Andertons for £225 brand new. Repriced to £180 Free postage!
  10. Love my one, this Synth Midi stuff is completely alien to me, so it's been a joy to hear and fiddle with! Im terrible at using the editor mind you, but that's all part of getting to know it right?
  11. Hi all, I'm moving into a smaller flat soon, so I'm selling a large chunk of my music equipment. For this reason, I'm letting go of the following Rockboard pedalboards and mods/accessories. For the two bigger pedalboards, pick-up from Durham would be preferred, but shipping can be arranged. Pictures will follow this afternoon. Rockboard Cinque 5.3 with MOD1 and MOD2 and softcase - Mint condition, bought new last year to combine all my pedals on a single board, but due to size restrictions in my new flat, I had to opt for two smaller pedalboards. It's in really good shape and has only been on my desk setup at home, hence it has never seen a stage or practise room. It only lacks a tiny bit of paint on the underside around some of the screws, and actually was shipped in this state when I received it new from Thomann. It comes with a nicely padded, unused Rockboard softcase, and has currently two Rockboard Mods (Mod1 v2 and Mod2 v2) installed. I'd like to sell it as a package deal so I can keep the two mods installed, but please feel free to reach out to me if you're interested in the board and softcase alone (without the mods). The board and softcase go around £215, and the Mods around £50-55 each, so the whole package would cost you around £315 new. I'm offering it for £240 all together (pedalboard, softcase, Mod1, Mod2) as a pick-up price from DURHAM (I can deliver it locally), or £260 shipped. Rockboard Duo 2.0 with softcase - Great condition. I used it for a little headphone-based setup when travelling, so it has seen a couple of hotel rooms but it's still in really good shape. Also comes with a nicely padded Rockboard softcase. £30 when picked-up from Durham, or £35 shipped. Rockboard Mini Mod TRS - Nice little MOD unit that can be attached to every Rockboard pedalboard, given you a TRS in- or out jack. Happy to sell it with any of the pedalboards above for an additional £5. Rockboard Mod Brace - Stainless steel frame to give more stability to heavier Rockboard MOD units. Selling it for £12 posted. Any questions just send me a message. SOLD: Rockboard Cinque 5.2 with softcase - Great condition, I used this before upgrading to the 5.3. It's also in really good shape apart from one scratch mark on the back. When taking off a MOD unit, one screw got stuck and by removing it, I scratched the back a bit unfortunately. However, this scratch mark should largely be covered once a new MOD is in place. Other than that, it's in perfect condition. It also comes with a nicely padded Rockboard softcase. I'm selling it for £80 when picked-up from DURHAM, or £95 shipped. Rockboard Frame 5 XL Cinque - Can be used on both Rockboard Cinque 5.2 or 5.3 and substitutes one of the frame struts underneath. As it has a large cut-out, you can attach larger items (such as big power supplies) underneath these pedalboards. Best to google and see what it looks like to decide if it might be useful for you, but it was actually very helpful for me to mount lots of equipment (power supplies, DI Box, and so on) underneath my pedalboards). Selling for £16 posted.
  12. Just purchased the Sfx pre amp IEM from tayste_2000. A little glitch with PayPal was dealt with by the seller positively and its already delivered! Highly recommended! Cheers Steve!
  13. Can the XLR plug be dismantled while plugged in, access to the little screw?
  14. Great points. I can see this working in home studios and practice rooms etc but only if everything is on the front. Particularly the power switch. I’d do exactly what you say, put big aluminium skids on the rear and wheels on the bottom, with a lid that incorporates a handle for tilting and wheeling.
  15. I’ll take this if it doesn’t sell!
  16. Selling these lot. Needs must and I’m sticking with just the Anagram now for my current projects and gigs. 1. Rockboard Duo 2.1 with TRS Mod and Gear4Music bag - SOLD 2. PirateMIDI Bridge 6 - £150 Amazing 6 switch MIDI controller. I like this better than MC6 Pro(borrowed my guitarists’ one for a while). I used it for the Anagram but can be programmed to control latest modellers like QC, Kempfer and many more. Easy and intuitive editor. Updated firmware to latest. Free postage via Royal Mail 24hrs tracked.
  17. Will take 595 for a very quick sale.
  18. I'm notn100% but I think so. I'm not sure that do another pj set.
  19. It’s still the great device it always has been.
  20. In terms of generative AI, it's basically an inevitability in my industry (music adjacent) at this point, so I'm resigned to it. We've been using trained neural nets in specific applications for years now anyway (i.e. noise reduction) and they tend to perform very well - but the lines are starting to blur as to where generative AI fits into that. Ethically, I view gen AI in its present and growing form as a pure expression of rentier capitalism. So whether it belongs in music is down to your attitudes as to whom value in creative work should accrue (I feel this will inevitably slide into politics, sorry mods, so that's all I'll say). I think we're very quickly moving towards a world where AI generated = low value and low effort advertising, memes, misinformation, and propaganda. So in my more optimistic moments I believe there will always be a place for us meatbags.
  21. Generative AI can get in the bin as far as I'm concerned. It makes an absolute mockery of the years I've spent learning an instrument. It's a disgustingly insulting short cut. Get gud or eff off. *mic drop*
  22. My guess is that very few players are going to gig with these combos. Looks to me like they're intended for music rooms, studios and home players.
  23. That is very true, I suppose I did put in about 4 years of Bass practise before ever playing with a band though, but yeah - Piano seems to require a different sort of practise with formally learned technical skills (like I'd mentioned earlier in the thread: the amount of gigging Bass players that did formal lessons/grades vs Pino players I expect would be markedly different). Playing one song so many times to perfect it to pass the grades and then move on is a bit tedious, but I guess it shows the challenge is at about the right level if it is achievable but difficult. I just recieved a £400 bill for lessons: £40 per hour (30 mins me, 30 mins my daughter), once a week, booked in blocks of 10. ...it is what I expected and seems the going rate, but that amount in one invoice still took me back a bit! I might reduce it to every 2 weeks for the next group of 10.
  24. Good points on portability - I still really like it as a venue amp - something installed in a church/pit situation. The I/O works great there IMO, and it looks kinda funky. Appreciate that I seem to be alone on this though, maybe I have rose-tinted Aguilar goggles! Maybe it's a deeply subconscious call to tackle the pile of washing that's been building up for a couple of weeks now.
  25. If the 'neck thru' bit was slightly more orange, that'd be Gulf racing colours very cool
